Those are usually the lazy so and so's who do that crap. I need more hours! I got bills to pay... Babies to feed. Blah, blah, blah... Cry me a freakin' river will ya?... Then when the big hand gets to the 12 they're nowhere in sight.

Or you offer them an extra shift and they conveniently always have something "important" to do at that time.
