There are dozens of others we love, but these are our favorites.

Amodovar is so excellent, thanks for reminding me:001_wub:

Are you talking about Almodovar the gay director? "Atame" (Tie Me up, Tie Me Down) was a classic. As well as "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown". They weren't gay per se. But they were and are great Spanish cinema.

For those interested in Pedro Alomodovar, Law of Desire is his gayest movie and features Antonio Banderas in one of the most convoluted plots ever filmed. Suffice it to say it's about a Spanish director, the actor he's in love with, the parking lot attendant who has a fatal attraction for him, his sister who used to be his brother before he ran off to Barcelona for a sex change operation and came back with the daughter of his Lesbian lover, a police detective, a windmill on the coast, a television hostess, and enough twists and turns to keep things in motion for nearly two hours. The opening ten minutes may be the sexiest Almodovar ever filmed.

I'll have to rent La Ley del Deseo. I loved Antonio Banderas in Women on the Verge.
Gracias Rifle.

  1. Jeffery - Neal Patric Stewart was a hoot.
  2. Torch Song Triligy - Loved Mathew Broderick in this one.
  3. In and Out - Tom Seleck was great in the end.
  4. Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
  5. Lost Boys - Sorry, Vampire story or not, it was JO material there.
  6. Too Wong Foo
  7. Broke Back Mountain
  8. Birdcage - Robin Williams wand Nathan Lane made that movie.
  9. My Beautiful Laundramat
  10. Common Ground
  11. Speedway Junkie
  12. Midnight Cowboy
  13. My Own Private Idaho

Are among my favorites...

I want to thank everyone who added some movies to the list. I truly appreciate it and I did get some good ideas for some movies I have not seen. I hope ya'll did the same
I realize alot of the people in here seem to hate me now so we probably would have got more responses if someone else had posted the thread but, thats okay I guess you didn't have to add any movies if you didn't want too. The ones that did though I will hold in the fondest esteem. I'm going to try and just concentrate on other stuff and stop messing around with the forum entirely, my friends have my e-mail address anyway.
Lots of luck, and have fun, and if you make any mistakes just blame it on me and everyone will be more than understanding:thumbup:

There is another thread just like this one in here somewhere from about a year ago. It may also have some different movies listed too.

It is listed in the membership part of the Forum from February last year.
"Your favorite gay movie(s)"

hey guys, I am brand new to this forum, i been off on this site for a couple of years now.

Anyways movies, these aren't the best movies but they are all on instant queue on netflix if you have that.

1) Were the world mine - It is a take of taming of the shrew by shakespear but its Gay/Lesbians it is actually pretty good

2) Eating out 1
3) Eating out 2
4) Eating out 3

The eating out movies i believe are indie films and they are not the best plot movies but they are like a college softcore porn.

Anyways hope you enjoy

-Pete

hey Man,
Thanks alot for the lists of movies. I really appreciate you for posting them and there is alot that I haven't seen so I will see if I can buy them and check them out for myself.
I've been a little busy lately doing my own filming so I haven't been on here very much. I truly appreciate your post rifle and truly thank you for adding the movies. I'm hoping that there will be lots of movies that people can check out.

Thanks
Casper

Casper dude, that's great news. Would love to hear about your filming. Any movie you made would automatically be included in my favorites list.

Saw Boogie Nights at dawn this morning. And because of what happened to Dustin there was a personal subtext that made it very sad.

B.N. was very sad. And not just a little disturbing. I'm glad you didn't try watching it right before bedtime like I did. And yeah... Having Dustin's life experience freshly in mind would not have made it any easier.

I didn't go to bed till it was finished, and was only grateful that the Markymark character lived on to delude himself for yet another day, rather than ending up dead in a mall parking lot. As it was, the ending was almost a happy one. Small mercies.

angle one,
I was at walmart tonite and looked at the gi joe movies, I didn't buy any of them, instead I bought Harry Potter and the half blood prince since I have all the others (Harry Potter movies). What did you find interesting in the GI Joe movie you mentioned. I read the description and it did not allude to any kind of sex scenes or anything. Do you think I need to buy them or are you talking about a different G I Joe movie.

Love ya
Casper

Forgive me Caspar, I was just mesmerized by the uniforms and tight leather pants the actors were wearing. I'm into spit/polish uniforms and boots. That's a turn on for me. I was a military cop in the USAF for years. Thanks for your reply - luv ya.

For the very first time I am watching Birdcage.

One of the great new features on the “New Forum” is the “Similar Treads” suggestions area and I am thrilled that br dug up this old one from 2009, for it’s content, but for me for the memories of the forumites from the past who posted here.

This thread was started by the “Banned” Casper. What a trip. I am reminded of the line from The Kinks song, “Celluloid Hero’s” singing about the movie stars whose names appear in the cement on Hollywood Boulevard, and it is “Some that you recognize, some that you've hardly even heard of”. That’s how this thread is for me, with tons of familiar names from the past, (and present) but some folks I’ve hardly heard of, but all saved in the archives of the forum. What a trip indeed!

Sorry to go :offtopic: lol

I am not into camp but I found the video funny and at times both sad & happy.

The gay and bisexual community is made up of all kinds of people but camp and drag has always been an aspect of gay life. I am not into all types of guys and sexual activities that men participate in. But I feel it is important to accept and embrace all aspects of our community. Drag shows take place in bars and clubs that I’ve hung out at, and can be a lot of fun.

Bird Cage Kafig is an Americanized version of the original La Cage Kafig Aux Folles, which I enjoyed much more than the Robin Williams version.

Yes I researched it before viewing. And , yes, I agree about what you said about the great variety of tastes. I know guys are into such types as old and fat and as here men who dress and act like women. I respect their choices even if they are not for me.

hey everyone, since Slim posted that awesome pick from Transamerica (I really liked that movie) some friends of mine (female friends) bought it and I watched it with them and it was great. I've also seen some others at there house that is pretty good too so can everyone attempt to name 10 movies with a bi/gay slant that they really liked....
1) Latter Days
2) Transamerica (I might have to think of another because I don't want to steal this one from slim)
3) The Mudge Boy
4) Nine Dead Gay Guys
5)Brokeback Mountain
6)Mysterious Skin
7) The Basketball Diaries
8)As Luck would have it
9) Fuehrer X
10) Camp
11) Shelter
12) Cold Showers....

I added and extra one because I stole one from slim

Love some of you
Casper
