easter holiday :)

does anyone have plans or are going away for easter ?
i dont know if it is a traditon in every country, but it would be fun to find out..

myself are going to my familiys cabin with my family for a few days..
Maybe i will get some pic, that i have promised.

...will be headed outta dodge, to be with the family for Easter, and my Birthday. Also, will get to see a new addition to my Mother's family. I do not know her name yet

I will be spending my Easter at home with my mom, she has done something to her leg and is confined to a chair for the time being. She is in a great deal of pain and needs me to be home with her. My Aunt and Uncle and cousins are coming for dinner on Easter Sunday.
I plan on making ham, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, corn, baked beans, cabbage salad, rolls and peanut butter pie for desert. Calories do not count on a holiday that lands on a Sunday.
I hope everyone has a good Easter and wish those who are travelling a safe journey to and from.

Yes!!! I just decided today when talking to my mother that I was for the first time going to cook for my family, my famous texas steak dinner that I have mentioned in the forum about favorite ingredients..

I have never cooked for my family before, they have no idea that I can do this. And I think for the first Easter ever that we will sit down as a family and enjoy a meal that was home made. I cannot wait for this experience, might actually gain some respect from my aunt who is a finominal cool.

I am golfing in the morning, then cooking in the afternoon. My partner and I hosted every holiday for about 15 years with me cooking, so now I get to go to other Family members with my tupperware. But I still do most of the cooking, just no clean up left to do. Blake: good luck with your dinner, it will turn out great. Your Mom might be a little upset that it turned out so good, it's just one more thing you don't need her for. I learned that one!

Did someone say "mashed potatoes"? Love them. REcently I learned to use a quart of chicken stock(store bought is ok) to the water I cook the potatoes in. Gives the potatoes an awesome taste!

We recently placed my father in a nursing home, and it will be the first time in 64 years, that he is not at our table for a holiday. So, we are not going to cook. We are going out for Easter dinner instead.

hi guys,

back from my holliday, not as much fun as i have had hoped,,
My entire family got sick.. but not me.
Coughing and fever..
but it was kind of nice anyway, my mom made a very good lamb with potetoes cocked in cream and carlic, ( dont know the english word) and vegetables and of course red whine..
and we took a drive to a little town nearby one day to look around
