In the strongest and one of the richest and wealthiest nations on the Earth, the USA is the only one of the First World developed nations that does not offer universal healthcare as a basic citizenship right whereas the UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy,Spain, Greece, Denmark, Finland, Japan all do.
Why? Is it possible that most US citizens are raised with an implicit and explicit message that healthcare and being healthy only belongs to those who can afford it? It's like the difference between private rooms and 2 person rooms and barracks rooms in hospitals - only one offers complete privacy and costs the most while in the others one must see other infirm people and their horrid families and they cost less. The worst example of these is military hospitals where enlisted men (privates, corporals, sergeants) always are put in barracks rooms regardless of their injuries - the burn victims have it roughest.
Gay people should probably lobby against marriage because it is a health impediment...and community property and palimony and adultery and divorce and possible illegitimate children and with trannies the odd surprise pregnancy that happens in some Female to Male transexuals. Unmarried nuns have the longest lives of women while married women actually get up to a decade shaved off their lives because of nagging, verbally abusive, psychologically abusive husbands who want their wives to be their mommies.
Girls who get pregnant before they are in their 20's have an 80% higher deathrate in childbirth than women who wait until they are in their twenties.
How long before Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez get caught having sex with Sanchez tebowing Tebow as they shout out the USC and Gator fight songs along with Amazing Grace? They live in same gayborhood in NJ and probably ahve built an underground passage connecting their houses.

KRU1996,

While I often share jasonAz's feeling's about your post's:

I don't know why, but I always take the time to read these KRU posts. But seldom if ever do I come away fully understanding the nonsensical ruminations that are put up for our bemusement. Am I the only one that doesn't get it?

I consider myself to be a reasonably intelligent individual, but dammit Jim, these posts seem to me as if 40 different people were told to write one or two sentences and then someone just put them all together to form a post!

I can't be the only one because I notice that posts from this source seldom generate much interest or feedback from the forumites. I keep thinking that since the writer(s) of these postings are supposed college fratboys, that someday I will be treated to a profound, enlighting and intelligent read, but alas it has yet to come to pass. Maybe I should just give up reading these posts so I won't keep getting disapointed.

However I also find that you sometimes make some very intelligent points, such as the situation in the United States regarding health care, and I am concerned with what the Supreme Court's ruling will be tomorrow.

So, while I still consider you to be the most "unusual" current member of this forum, and I still have no idea who or what you really are, I do find some portions of your rather unusual posts to be quite intelligent, although I'm not quite sure why you keep making comments about Tim Tebow & Mark Sanchez, I do find you intriguing, while at the same time puzzling. :001_unsure:

Since "gay homosexual" is redundant, are you using gay meaning happy, as in do happy homosexual men...?

All men, happy or sad, homosexual or heterosexual deserve full equality under the law and that includes marriage;

And all U.S. citizens deserve univeral health care. And the sad thing is we already have systems in place to deliver it. Expand medicaid to cover everyone under 65 and medicare over 65. Then have the balls to enact a value added tax nationwide to fund it and we have a good start. It is not as if we have to re-invent the wheel.

I do largely agree Jon, but if he pays his membership fee each month, he is as entitled to rant and rave, in any form he chooses, as we are.

And I can recall that a former forumite who did not like me, said that he was able to choose an option of "Ignore Posts", and never had to read my "vile" words again, so if this option still exists, you can ignore him and his "whole fraternity's" rants.

Yes you're correct Mike. My immature years just caught me on the hop.. Sorry:crying1:

I agree Mikey, these posts oftentimes start out intelligent enough to make an interesting read about an interesting topic, but then he,they throw in some nonsense like "How long before Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez get caught having sex with Sanchez tebowing Tebow as they shout out the USC and Gator fight songs along with Amazing Grace? They live in same gayborhood in NJ and probably ahve built an underground passage connecting their houses." What does that have to do with the price of kitty litter in Saudi Arabia!
As for Tebow and Sanchez, so what if they are having a gay affair I don't care. Why disparage these two for alledgedly doing what the writer claims all the members of their supposed fraternity indulge in on a regular basis. Talk about being hippo-critical.
I'm begining to wonder if this is a fraternity at all, or just the rantings of some pseudo intellectual.
Rant over. -J

What's gay got to do with it?

'do gay homosexual men deserve marriage and healthcare?'

Two people fall in love and want to promise eternal truth... so what must they do to deserve a marriage?

Health care is an assurance. When one pays the assurance premium on time, then you are entitled to the benefits.

PS: Seen better KRU threads...

Being a gay man living in Iowa, I am lucky enough to live in one of the six states in the United States that legalized same-sex marriage. While it I myself am not married, it is nice to know that I have the same access to marriage as my straight counterparts.

Do gay people deserve healthcare, of course they do. Do gay people (and straight people for that matter) need socialized medicine in the United States? Oh hell no. And whoever said let's just implement Medicaid as a blanket solution, what have you been smoking? Did you know if you are HIV positive and your doctor prescribes HIV antiretrovirals to keep your HIV from progressing; Medicaid will not cover your prescription cost until your T-Cell count goes below 200 and you develop AIDS. You know why, HIV drugs are expensive!!! The logic behind this governmental bureaucracy is that it is better to wait until a person's illness progresses into a dire situation to provide treatment, than provide the preventative treatment to ward off the dire situation. This is just one of the many examples of bureaucratic logic that comes from government provided healthcare.

Free healthcare may sound nice in theory, but once you get caught in the bureaucratic bullshit, it may end up costing you your life.

UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy,Spain, Greece, Denmark, Finland, Japan all these countrys are broke except for two lol.

All people of this fine nation deserve health care, marry the one you love, grow old together and die happy. Regardless of who or what you are! Coming from a mexican/native american indian/gay man. :)

Regarding the author of these wierd posts, has anyone noticed that after the first crazy posts he never replies.

Exactly Jon! That's why I have come to the conclusion that the author of these posts is a lonely, self centered pseudo intellectual that has created this Gay KRU Fraternity and named himself the official spokesperson. I googled Kappa Rho Upsilon and what I discoverd is that while there is a fraternity by that name at Texas A&M University, I highly doubt that the members are a bunch of queer fratboys that have gay sex parties and sit together to watch Broke Straight Boys Videos and jack and suck each other off. Quite to the contrary. I include the Official KRU Statement of Purpose, copied directly from their website:

Our greatest desire is to glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We also seek to uphold and maintain Biblical Christian standards, to be an influence in the community through servant lifestyles, to pursue a positive attitude and spirit, and to help others strengthen their academic achievement, enabling them to be what the Lord calls them to be. We do this by submitting to the Lord, our God, and allowing Him to direct our lives as Psalm 139:23-24 states,

“Search me, O God, and know my heart, test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

We seek solely to do the will of God.

Now, while the author of these posts may be a queer boy himself, I doubt that the whole fraternity as he describes it is as queer as he is. It is one thing to post as a gay member of a fraternity, and another to post as the spokesperson of a Gay Fraternity! One has to wonder if this person is a member of any fraternity at all. -Jason

Well researched Jason. It's rather amusing that there are still these estranged people that frequent the Broke Straight Boys forum. The site must be a magnet for such people.
