I'm trying to mix up the openings of scenes, find new ways of transitioning from the interview into the start of the sex- ALSO there were MANY requests by the members to get prolonged ass shots of the models in the scene in the beginnings. I will do my best to come up with new ways to get those shots without them being the same thing- any suggestions or requests as to how to get those shots before it begins? Just trying to make people happy - thanks

Well first of all, hello Johnny - I don't think we've "met" and thanks for your reply. I think you have definitely improved the scenes producer ways, but it's just nice sometimes to get away from the norm, if you get my drift. I guess you are still filming the scenes in the studio place and not at Mark's house ? is that correct ? If that is so then it's gonna be kinda hard to change any background theme but you could make the beginning into a little story. Like guys playing ps2 on the bed, or a bunch of 4 guys playing twister, or even one dressed like Freddie Mercury in "I want to break free" - lol last one was a joke btw.

Of course as we are now in spring and the warmer weather is here then you could try moving outdoors (there are a few examples from the early Broke Straight Boys days) such as camping scenes in a caravan or tent, or guys going fishing and getting bored and turning to sex, or campfire fun - we've all had it.

Just a few suggestion that maybe you can encompass within a new suggestions thread. Jxx

Hey Johnny!

I really appreciate accessible you make yourself to us. You always come across as genuinely caring about whether viewers are enjoying your work. The scenario Jon describes above was much more common and typical of the Clay era. I never saw the eroticism of watching a model slap another on the butt once or twice, and then starting the scene. At least when you have them grabbing each other's butts, it's an improvement and shows more intimacy. For the models who are the straightest it also helps the viewers to see another barrier breaking down for that model. Having another guy grabbing his butt then becomes something noteworthy and worth watching. So I wouldn't totally remove that from your bag of tricks. haha The meaningless slap on the butt that Clay used to have them do? Definitely. lol

As for other suggestions for opening up scenes...I like the idea of a little bit of body worship. Much like you did in the scene with Zeno Kostas and JJ. Planting kisses on each other's neck, chest, pecs and so on. Again though on this site it's important to keep a little of the straight fantasy going. So it depends on the models. If it just looks like two gay guys making love...it won't be as big of a hit over here as it would be on College Dudes.

If the models are over-coached (or decide themselves to overact) to pretend they are not liking any of it, then the scene sometimes gets negative feedback for a lack of chemistry. Or the model(s) in question get not so good reviews. It's the same dilemma that faces every director on this site. lol It's gotta be so difficult as a director here to try to keep that balance.

I know that both Johnny and the models try to include members suggestions and even ask for them often, I would really encourage reading the Threads started upon the release of a scene. That is where the greatest number of suggestions come from! There is always a comment stating "what would have worked........." as a suggestion.

Or the model(s) in question get not so good reviews. It's the same dilemma that faces every director on this site. lol It's gotta be so difficult as a director here to try to keep that balance.

As Tampa suggests, it can be obvious to (me) a viewer when coached or over acting is being watched! Brandon Beal to his credit, has tried to bring a little something different in his scenes to include: his scenes with Griffin, the little acrobatic maneuver with Blake Bennet, and even Damien's last scene with him, Damien said Brandon brought some fun/creative unanticipated elements to the scene and Damien was just able to go with the flow! I feel the members have and continue to voice suggestions of what would be nice to experience in a scene, I just think it needs to come from the models naturally, and most of all.....with in their "comfort and ability to execute" it during their scene.

I know what you mean Betu. Kissing is a great example of that. Depending on the models, sometimes it can look very erotic and stimulating. Other times it can look so scripted and forced that it's like watching grass grow. You almost want to stifle a yawn. lol Some models can pull off things that others cannot. Unfortunately for the director, he doesn't know for sure which ones can pull it off and which ones can't until they're on the set.
