Hi Silvercamel.. You might know that I'm new here. So I didn't actually feel the change in direction as it happened. I can only see it in the videos. I much prefer the current content, as I'm interested in their interaction off camera and a bit of.. intimacy I guess.

Whilst I didn't want to discuss this on this thread - it was meant to be a thank you thread after all... Grrr As usual it has digressed to a now and then issue. The labelling of the different periods of Broke Straight Boys has gotten too far and as some people have stated where are we now BSB3, 3.5, 3.75.. who gives a fuck.. And regarding the quote, well the site has moved on a hell of a lot since David's day and the lengthy interviews have gone (sadly) but what has been added far outweighs the loss. Now the guys are willing to go that little bit further and for the right price are prepared to rim, kiss and fuck raw. But the important thing is that they still do it for money because they are broke and "straight", so now the original concept/premise is still there.

Agreed 100%. I liked those corny interviews in the old videos. The current camara guy (?) does a great job though, his voice really turns me on. He must be good looking, some of the guys can't stop staring at him during the shoot <33a

Thanks AsIseeIt, for recognizing that I have not "dissed" any other member whose opinion may differ from mine. I've always tried to look at both sides of every issue, and my usual perspective is for the site to try to offer something for everyone. I recognize that my perspective has become a minority one, so all I've been asking for is an occasional model or scene that is within the original concept of the site that originally attracted me to Broke Straight Boys, and has kept me a loyal customer ever since.

I really appreciate your post.

To Mikeyank: I can see what you're saying. I signed up after seeing a few free videos (Xtube) and was expecting to see similar stuff. There is a whole load of those clips in the archive (I haven't gone through 1000+ episodes though ). As an outsider, I've spottedt this shift in direction pretty quickly. T

The current direction is NOT what "purists" will like. At first it was porn, period. Now we have additional, so it's porn + "general entertainment". Again, I like it, but it's no wonder that some "old school" members are ticked off. I have a hunch that they'll come up with a solution though. Hugs <33a.

Thanks Andy for getting my point. I certainly don't expect everyone to agree with my taste and my perspective, but I still feel that I have a valid point.

I actually loved and sometimes still love more than just the porn. On "ClassicBSB", I loved the total reality based setting of a nervous, confused young straight boy walking into David's studio not exactly understanding what he was getting himself into. Then with David's crude appearing, but very skillful ways he would interview the guy, try to make him comfortable and explain what Broke Straight Boys was all about. And if a model proved popular, they would return and go further in each new scene, and when they sometimes they got so comfortable that they really let loose, and we would see the pleasure and the passion evolve naturally over time, that made for the HOTTEST Broke Straight Boys scenes.

In this latest incarnation of Broke Straight Boys, we have new models who supposedly have never had sex with a guy, in their second scene suddenly kissing, rimming, sucking cock like an old pro, and for me the magic of the seduction of a straight boy is lost. That is the point I am trying to make. I quote my old friend Abush11, who is one of the members who left here when the site got away from it's original concept. Abe wanted to see "believably" straight guys as I do, and when a handsome young man shows no hesitation in making passionate love to his partner after one or two visits, I can not get into the fantasy that I signed up for.

By the way Andy, the new director is Clay, and he has posted here very infrequently, whereas David was a regular member of the forum and would visit with us on a regular basis, answering questions and giving us behind the scenes info too, which helped add to my enjoyment of the reality aspect of Broke Straight Boys

Bottom line is, things change all the time, Broke Straight Boys has progressed towards a very interesting direction. The choices are to go along with process, or to back out. I really think that the "new" Broke Straight Boys deserves a fair chance. I don't know if maybe I have a bit of an advantage, as I received the map and was able to understand what had happened. You "seniors" *experienced* the whole process and were emotionally invested in it.

Hey Andy, I really appreciate your intelligent approach to these questions, and not just telling me, "If you don't like what you are seeing, then just leave!". I am an incredibly loyal person, and I've been a part of this forum since it's inception, and if I felt the need to leave this site, it would not be easy for me.

I also appreciate your perspective Andy, as I watched all the episodes unfold day by day and week by week, whereas you are able to take more of an objective overview, coming in now, but appreciating the past and the history of the site.

My only major disagreement with your points is that I didn't find David's scenes as "staged" as you indicate. Yes the names were made up, and their stories were often embellished, but I really believed that many of their actual sexual histories were real, and the way their enjoyment of gay sex evolved through time. I believe that we were watching a real evolution in Tyler, Danny, Logan, MikeR, Austin, Ashton and so many others as they were often surprised themselves at how good it all feels.

Andy, you are a wonderful addition to our forum family, and I look forward to your continued honest opinions here. And hopefully I will remain here as well, to discuss, dissect, debate and perhaps even agree on what we enjoy and what we do not enjoy here. I wish you a wholehearted if belated, to the forum!!!
