Hi guys.

Couple things:
I know some of you have seen this trend too, since it gets commented on in the episode threads. Why dont the guys even PRETEND to be straight anymore?? They just go in and start makin out and fucking without a word of uncertainty or protest. For me the site has really lost focus.

Also who is Clay? I thought the old tyler was the cameraman running the show now? Have we ever seen Clay?

Lucky1, you have commented on the most major issue with BSB2 in my opinion. As my friend Robb, (Buckeye1) recently commented, Broke Straight Boys has lost it's focus. The original 'hook' of Broke Straight Boys was to get good looking "believably straight" young guys to perform gay sex acts because they were desperate to earn some money, despite the fact that they were straight and not into guys sexually. And then the real fun for me and others began when they discovered how good it felt to have a guy give them awesome head or to fuck a tight asshole, which sometimes felt even better than pussy.

When BSB1 ended, as did the scenes produced by David and his D&E Studio, we were promised much straighter and better looking guys would be featured. The initial launch of BSB2 was "panned" by the forum critics as Clay literally threw cash at models who claimed to be totally straight and often protested at the prospects of having sex with guys.

As the protests continued, Clay and Mark changed the focus of the site to where the money was not mentioned except in very general terms, the models did not discuss their feelings about what they were about to do, or what they just did do at the end of scenes, and I completely agree with both lucky1 and Buckeye1 that the site has lost it's focus.

I don't know how much influence the forum has on the direction of the site, but I would say that 80% or more of the forum wants even more passion, kissing, body licking, rimming, cum eating, chemistry etc. in the scenes, and they complain when a model does not "progress" in his ability and passion for gay sex.

Tyler was working for David at D&E and did help film many of the scenes, but after the launch of BSB2, that entire crew was replaced by Clay and a new production company under Mark who has always owned the site. Clay used to occasionally post on the forum, and we've seen glimpses of him in some of the behind the scenes videos, but he has basically been out of the public eye and has almost no interaction with the forum.

I remain a loyal member here, not because I like the new focus or most of the models and scenes, as I glance at the previews and possibly fast forward through the scenes. I remain a member here because I love to participate here on the forum, and I am in constant hope that there will be an occasional good looking, believably straight guy here. I currently love Ayden as he is physically exactly my type, and he does not jump right into the sex with enthusiasm and he has not kissed or rimmed or bottomed, and I am always hopeful that management will add more of that type of model to fuel my fantasies and apparently a few other hard core fans of truly straight looking and acting guys who epitomize what this site originally was all about.

Here at Broke Straight Boys, it depends on each members view of what "believably straight" is and subsequently what he looks like and how he performs. There are those who see "believably straight" as a person who rants and raves about having to have gay sex for money. I don't agree. These guys are a type of hustler. They have sex with men for money. Back in the day when I was hooking up with hustlers, if I had one who bitched and moaned about having to do what he was getting paid to do, then he was out the door. Working for Broke Straight Boys is a job. Nobody is forcing any of these guys to do this. Most if not all of them have explicitly said or implied that they do it for the money. If that's the case, then do your job and shut up about how awful it is. No body is forcing you to do it. And I especially don't like when said bitching and moaning veers into the homophobic range - that's biting the hand that feeds you.

While Broke Straight Boys 1.0 is held up as the "golden age"of Broke Straight Boys, there were several models who many accepted that they were straight because they said so; and as it turns out they were gay or bi. We are asked to do the same thing with the newer iterations of Broke Straight Boys "Believably straight" is and will always be different to each of us because we have our own set of standards that we use to judge this by.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; "Believably straight" is in the eye, emotions, and psycho-sexual fantasies of the beholder, i.e. we who watch the videos. Many of us will agree with one another if a model is "believably straight"; but some of us won't. That doesn't make any of us right or wrong.

The Forum still holds my heart and soul!

In general, I would agree that the overall quality of Clay's updates has been disappointing, with the few noteworthy exceptions. Such Broke Straight Boys SUPER STARS as Jason Matthews or BLAKE Bennett is always a "SURE BET". We have a lot of newer models that seem to want to be Broke Straight Boys regulars, although they never seem to come up to Jason's level of commitment or intensity. Evan so, I find Adam, Johnny Forza, Damon Kyle, Paul Canon, Ayden, and a few others currently add a little sparkle and eye appeal to the site. The fact is that overall Broke Straight Boys, as we know it today, is far from perfect and we all realize it is even a much less perfect fit for its members.

I really admire Mikeyank's persistence, but then on second thought, I feel that any of the real Broke Straight Boys survivors should be awarded a medal for having the persistence for holding on until something better finally cums along. Broke Straight Boys is like democracy where few things are perfect but at least the efforts of Clay are in the approximate direction of our viewing interests. Rather than stating our models are Straight ONLY, I like much more Jason's Matthews "Pansexual" approach that as a given Broke Straight Boys models should all enjoy a lot of sex and it matters not to any great extent as long as they enjoy cock sucking and all that it entails to want to give us a great show. Certainly, Jason Matthews measures up to his expressed view on sexuality and he has the work ethic to guarantee a good show.

At times I have thought of subscribing to College Dudes, but when I subscribed before, it was all "too down to a science" and failed to hold my interest because you don't establish a relationship with each of the models. Anal sex was more emphasized and that becomes old after a while. Comparing the two on anal scenes was like post-graduate level for Broke Straight Boys vs, graduate level for College Dudes. Mostly, it is the goings on of the forum that I am still stuck on and most attracted to at Broke Straight Boys

You've encapsulated my thoughts quite well here Stimpy. I admit that I still prefer some of the straighter models to be on this site. The thing about "other" standard gay porn out there is that you feel no emotional or human attachment to the models. The scene usually just opens to 2 hot gay guys sitting on a sofa or bed. Maybe they give you their stage name. Maybe not. Then they just start kissing, ripping clothes off, and going at it.

Broke Straight Boys-2 has still maintained the "reality genre and amateur model" charm that it's always been great for. The models are introduced to us with much more than just a cheesy stage name. We hear about things like their car troubles, gf troubles, family dynamics, job history, the state of their finances, hobbies and so on. We get to see some personality and learn a little bit about them. So from the very beginning they mean much more to us than just the sum of their physical attributes. We're able to feel a human bond with them and even an emotional investment in many of them. That adds so much more to the viewing experience that so many other sites out there can't touch.

And as you say Stimpy...the forum has been a wonderful part of the site for a long time. When I've been sick especially, the forum has been here as a source of comfort, camaraderie and entertainment.

Another couple days go by and then there's the fucking. It's become very mechanical and predictable. Personally I don't even watch about half of the new updates. If I really want to get excited I go back the archives to re-watch the scenes I've seen many times before and still find them hotter than the new stuff. Nothing against the guys............most of them are HOT. It's more in the way they are presented to the members than anything else. I signed on to see str8 guys have gay sex way back when and was always pretty much satisfied with what I saw. Now the scenes are like any other gay site. Two guys (or more) get naked and have sex. Nice, but not what I want to see. I stay around (I've left and come back a few times) mainly for the older scenes and for the Forum. I guess the only real winners here are Mark and Clay. I keep paying even though I'm not thrilled with the product they turn out.

I've also noticed the predictability of scenes as described above. The solo, bj and fucking scenes have got to have been done during one visit to chateaux Mark. So although it makes financial sense it, especially if the guys live out of state, it does take away the "believe factor". I mean when the studios were in Florida, the storylines were much more convincing and there would often be 4 or 5 scenes before a guy finally did anal. Just an observation.

I completely agree "word for word" with both of the above posts, especially the part of Rick's post that I highlighted. I do know of at least one more loyal forumite who has left the site this week, and that really saddens me. I am not going anywhere yet, as I always keep hope that Broke Straight Boys will at some point go back to being what the site was conceived to be and I can find some satisfaction in new episodes and not only in the old ones.
