For not being able to find the right words, you put it very well! LOL. I often chime in because I see things differently than most. I must say that you and I have a bit more in common. We have an idea of how we want things to be based on things we see and know...we all do but, when it comes to the porn and performances, sometimes, we just have to let go of certain things in order to just enjoy...it's porn!
Sometimes we hear and see things that have been introduced and even though we say it doesn't affect us, once it gets in the head it's there....we can pick and choose what we want to focus on ultimately. Not to get all philosophical but, when I am just here to have a bit of visual enjoyment, I am often discouraged by the amount of cynicism thrown out about the site, the models and the performances....that's who I am I guess!
But, I want you to know that I am often encouraged by the posts you share. You often reflect a lot of my thoughts! Thanks for that![/QUOTE
Thanks to you as well, Betu. It's always nice to find another person who "gets" what you're trying to say. I hate to admit that I've been one of those who has added to some of the cynicism, but I find that usually I regret it later, especially if it's about a scene. I was pretty harsh on the scene with
Ronan Kennedy and Tanner, but when I watch it now, I think it's pretty good. Now I try not to say anything until I've watched a scene at least a couple of times.
I retired early, but because of health reasons I've found that I can't do a lot of things I thought I would be doing. Fortunately, I can still do moderate walking for activity, but mentally I do some not-too-strenuous volunteering, avidly read
Car and Driver magazine, and watch porn (what can I say. Between cars and topping, I like to drive.
), among a few others. So I really focus on avoiding the negative on the site. Sometimes the forum is a blessing, and sometimes it's not. I can't control (nor do I want to) what others think, but I can control my attitude. But i don't regret joining the forum at all. There are some pretty good guys here, in spite of themselves
.
By the way, Betu, I like your Gerry Spence quote. It sounds very much like something Christopher Hitchens would say.
