What is Southern Decadence????? never heard of it...

Wha??? Never heard of it?!?! It's this amazing pride fest that is labelled "the gay Mardi Gras" in New Orleans, LA. It takes place the first weekend of September and goes from Wed-Mon. It was an absolute blast. So much fun that me and my gay are going every year now. It also happens to be Bear Decadence the same weekend, so you can only imagine what the French Quarter looked like. Mardi Gras, which is exactly 6 months apart from S.D., is far too busy for my tastes. Southern Decadence is just the right amount of celebration, pride and tourists. It was EPIC!

The official website says that they had over 150,000 visitors for SD in 2010 making the city nearly 125 million dollars. Pretty good for a place flooded out three years ago! And, the list of happening parties seems endless.
