I will start this by saying that, since I have not YET been to the South Pacific, namely New Zealand, that my ABSOLUTE favorite place that I have been to thus far, is Switzerland, in particular, Zermatt. Just BREATHTAKINGLY GORGEOUS!

Put me down for Florence. At the end of the week of my visit, as I climbed on the train for Rome, I wept, because there was still so much to see and do. An utterly amazing and charming city. The history of the Renaissance just rubs off on you. And the works of art to see just beggar description. f someone gave me a hundred thousand dollars to do with as I wished, I'd go to Firenze until it ran out!

Most of my career has required me to travel. I couldn't begin to list the places that I've been at least twice. There was a time, pre-Sept 11, when I could say that I enjoyed traveling. I still travel but much less. STILL... at the end of the day... It's Key West. (Surprise!) Yes, it gets hot in the summer but that just means the boys wear less and less. You can have international travel. Give me the USA.

Mine is definitely New Orleans. Last year was my first visit to New Orleans and now I vow to go back annually. I have been so many places, but never a place with so much history and life. That place is just brilliant.

Favorite place

Being a Gemini, I have two favorite places, New York City and South Padre Island on the tip of Texas. New York was everything I expected. It was glamourous and exciting. I remember taking a Midnight Champagne Tour of the city, pre 9/11. I sat in the back next to the champagne and, needless to say, I almost had to crawl back to my hotel room after the tour bus dropped us off.

I love going to South Padre Island every summer. My family and I rent a Beach House for a week and enjoy the sand and surf! We go deep sea fishing, jet skiing, etc. I think SPI is my favorite place because I am with my family!

i guess if to pick my favorite city to visit in the states, i would have to pick two cities.
new orleans and san francisco are my top united states cities. eugene, oregon would be a close second.
now favorites cities to live in that would be new york, new york and san diego, california. they don't made my favorite cities to visit, they are home.

Although I've lived in New Orleans for the past forty years (and was gratified to see that a couple of posters here cited N.O. as one of their favorite places to visit), my most exciting and memorable trip was to Hawaii. The sheer beauty everywhere you look took my breath away. One day before I get too decripit to travel, I've gotta go back !!

My favorite trip was to Cancun. The water is cystal clear. I went on a submarine and got to see the beauty of the ocean floor. I also enjoyed visiting several different Myan ruins. I love history, so for me, I wish I had more time to explore the many Myan discoverys.
