I read the message board every morning before work and although I have self perceived ideas of where are other members are from I have decided to have another poll or maybe two if the site is hooked up for that. Sorry, its in my nature. I love polls. If I miss a country excuse me.

If people would at least what country they are from, in their profiles. Doesn't seem like such a big thing. Take Canada, that is a lot of tundra to try and guess where someone is exactly!

I'm USA by way of GB. But I consider myself American now.

Welcome back Ms. D., good to see you back where you belong!

Sometimes I wish I as American and sometimes I like being British. Each nation and their people has it's qualities. I love you Yanks on this forum, but I also love us Brits - think there are about 4 atm, our gorgeous Gracie17 from Tazzie, our hunky Robb from Amsterdam and the numerous Canadians out there in the wild.

I love yall - even Kru :wtf:

I feel the same way, Jon. Although born in the U.S., I have always felt a strong connection with the British. I have worked on our family genealogy and found out that my ancestors came from Chard in Great Britain in 1635. In fact the family home is still there with members of my family still living in the house.

I guess if I were to go back far enough in my research, I could probably find connections with all of you guys and gals. We are all brothers and sisters of planet Earth, and I love each one of you.

So true, Robb, we're all in this life together.

I'd love to say my ancestors were hard-done-by and misunderstood convicts banished from Britain to the harsh environment of early Australia, for stealing a loaf of bread to feed their poor starving children. The truth is... my ancestors did came from Britain and it was during the early colonization of Australia, but they were really boring free settlers.

Nothing wrong with being "boring free settlers". They were who they were. If they had not been the pioneers of your family, you would not be living in the paradise you say you're living in. Just think, if they had stayed in Britain, you and Jon would be complaining about all of that miserable rain every day. Count your blessings, my dear.
