What I Miss About BSB

Thanks to everyone for your replies to my post. FYI for those who wondered... my dust up was with the original BSB2 crew.

And to Mark and team - I think the problem that people see is that BSB2 is starting down the path that BSB1 took (I've been around for years and was a senior member before). As I mentioned in my original post, everything has become predictable, and the models are either obviously pros, or have been coached, etc. Let's try to remember the context of this site: Broke Straight Boys If I want professional-appearing porn I'll just go to a site the produces its shows. But for Broke Straight Boys, it would be nice to see a mix of the first, ackward scenes, and then see the boys "grow up" as they continue. Then you'll have a little of everything and should satisfy the majority of the members, at least.

And just to give props where they're due, I think that Clay does a great job when he has the chance to give the new guys some guidance. Have we seen a picture or vid with him in it?

I agree Chase. Lucas' scene very much reminded me of a throwback to Broke Straight Boys-1. In a good way, that is. A normal straight guy not pleased to be in a situation where he is going to be asked to perform gay sex acts.

I so agree with my buddy J on this Mark. I still don't get it when members here say they don't care if the model's are gay, bi or straight. If that's the case, why come to this site? But if that's what some people want, mix things up. Give us some loving, kissing, passionate scenes, but to totally get away from the core concept of the site would be a big mistake. I'm not sure how many folks besides myself and a few other's would stay here just for the forum.

Please include some more edgy, nervous, uncomfortable scenes with guys who are reluctant, and not turned on by the idea of doing gay sex, but who do it for the money, and not because of a "hard work ethic". I'm not looking for hard workers with "good attitudes", but for good workers who stay hard. Please Mark, keep your core fans happy too, at least some of the time.

We are once again in total agreement Grace, including the state of recent scenes on the site.

And I also agree that the reasons that Porn Shane worked so well on Broke Straight Boys, were because he was so exceptionally good looking, but even more so that David introduced him to us as a formerly straight, and now bi/gay porn model, and his role was to "break in" the newbies. That could have been an effective role that Rob Ryder could have played in his "cross over" scenes on Broke Straight Boys, rather than to try and play it straight when we already knew what he has done in gay porn.

Oh Tampa, you are so right! That was hot to watch Shane bring these boys around. No one else ever was successful, not even Nelson. If these 2 models have been very up-front about their recent sexual history (last 6 months) and have both tested negative just prior to the shoot...and have had the risks fully explained to them...and they both agreed to go through with it...then okay. I will rate the scene on how erotic it is and I myself won't give it a poor rating simply out of protest. For myself, I am not going to say much until the scene airs. We really don't know if it is even a bare back scene.......I know it "sounds" like one, BUT I looked up "Raw Dog" and found three meanings. It means: to do something without previous experience; to take a chance; try something despite the outcome, or unprotected sex, or if you refer to your friends as "dogs" then your best friend is your "raw dog."

I so agree with you Ms. K that the new person who writes the scene synopsis is a major turn off to me. They try to be cute, trendy, even "hipper than the room", with little puns and comments. That is not the purpose of the scene descriptions at all. I now rarely do more than glance at the synopsis, whereas I used to read them regularly to try to find out I was going to see.

My advice to the writer is to take a cue from Sergeant Jack Friday on Dragnet and stick to, "Just the Facts, Ma'am".

I think Bareback sex is hot so I am in favor in the change of direction to film scenes without condoms. I will remain a loyal Broke Straight Boys member when these scenes start to air. The thing that drew me to BSB1 was catching a glimpse of Logan via another porn site I was cruising. I was instantly attracted to his good looks... I have never thought of a guy as being 'pretty' but he fits the bill... but joined up due to Logan's personality. What I found so charming with Logan, and a good many of the BSB1 models, was their shyness and hesitancy when starting out with m/m sex. As for the new scene writer, not really my cup of tea but they could be just finding their particular style of writing. They definitely differ from the previous one, who could obviously write for miles and had issues about cutting the word count down, some of the scene descriptions were like essays! ... but this may also be their first time writing in the m/m industry and as such, could use some gentle guidence if necessary.
