I don't post very often because I was one of the guys who got "beat up" by management for making comments in the past, but I'd like to add to the current thoughts about the scenes.

What I miss most from the old Broke Straight Boys was the "casting couch" feel of seeing new models. It was great when a truly new guy was brought in (you could see how nervous or uncomfortable), got started with the interview, and then a second new guy was brought in - not a set up with an experienced guy. Eventually the undressing would start, they'd eventually start jacking off, and then the instructions would come that would get them touching, etc. It wasn't always the same, but you could tell that it was really first experience.

As others have mentioned, the site is now so predictable that any of us could write the script without seeing the episode. Also, the scenes get so "advanced" so quickly that even the fiction of "straight" with most of the guys isn't even believable. Once upon a time you could tell that the guy really was straight, or at least inexperienced.

Any chance you can throw some of innocence back into some of the episodes? Oh, and PLEASE get the scenes in order.
Thanks

Troublemaker, I don't know what comments you may have made in the past, or how management "beat you up", but I agree 100% with your post. You described exactly what I initially loved about Broke Straight Boys and what I also miss today.

Thank you for summing up what I too feel is lacking in the current format of Broke Straight Boys

I totally agree and have been wanting to state exactly what you just did, Troublemaker! I am so glad you did! Thank you!

I too miss the innocence that seemed to prevail the scenes on the casting couch. You are right, Broke Straight Boys has changed too much. I haVe been thinking of moving on, here lately, and it is exactly for what you said. This is not the same Broke Straight Boys I signed up for. I have only stayed this long for the forum and the wonderful folks on here.

Thanks for saying all that Troublemaker. Those nervous, awkward , hesitant, straight, first-timer qualities are some of the things that I love about Broke Straight Boys I hope we can see more of those types of scenes thrown into the mix.

I concur my fellow formites. I've said it before scene 1 jerk off, 2 get a blow job from another guy, 3 suck a dick and maybe fuck, and 4 get fucked. I loved to see a model nervously work up to the deed. My Shane was a perfect example of how it should be done.

Troublemaker and everyone else ahead of me articulated exactly what I have been trying to say all along without having the longevity on the site to get a grip on my thoughts and words. It makes me nervous to think of management "beating up" on any of us. I'm not sure they really read these posts or the twitters to see what we are thinking as evidenced by a thread yesterday when management thought everything was swell and the twitter feed on the home page was in an uproar with people leaving the site due to dissatisfaction.

Count me in.

It now seems to want to be like so many other gay-for-porn sites.
Although management seemed self-conscious about the shabby
futon-fold-out-couch, I was nervous when I saw the new swish
(Colorado?) studio (presumably during Alex Case's solo). It has
that same bland-expensive-modern look they all have.

Progress ain't all it's cracked up to be.

I agree that the original set with the futon "worked" for me as the setting for where the Broke Straight Boys naughtiness took place. Much like the set of the classic Jackie Gleason show, The Honeymooners, the set at BSB1 was priceless in it's charm and simplicity, as were the many beautiful young men that we first met as nervous newbies, as David explained in his own home spun way what was required of them to do and how much they would be paid to do it.

For the most part, I bought into that concept as I watched the guys sitting there with a look of a deer caught in the headlights. There was a nervous tension that often lead to a wonderful sexual release for these inexperienced young men as we sat back and watched the action unfold on our computer screens for our entertainment.

Mikey, I think that is what we all miss, at least the long timers here on Broke Straight Boys

What I miss is coming soon... more 'Behind the Scenes' episodes. Porn can become a bore... seen everything, however people never bore me.

It would be great to watch some 'Behind the Scenes' videos with unknown, nervous boys, that we will get to see in a porn video later. Anticipation is half the fun. Episodes with Jason and Blake mean a lot more to me, because they shared their thoughts with me. They have become persons instead of models.

The Broke Straight Boys experience is about to get bigger and better!

I like the idea Robert!

Management thought you actually meant their Twitter pagetweets, not the messages on the home page. They actually have a Twitter and Facebook pages, so that distinction may be necessary.

Me too.

I agree, what got me hooked as a member was the reality of it all. Now we know what is going to happen before it does. It all seems so scripted in a way. I liked the nervousness, the hesitation, the awkwardness etc.

This thread is confusing because it seems like when we film someone that is very nervous who can't perform well the ratings are really bad. But when we film someone who isn't nervous and it is a good scene the ratings are through the roof. I like the nervousness in scenes too but the ratings on those aren't high.

I really could care less whether I know more about a model's life. I'm not Ralph Edwards. I'm not "paying" him to be on "This Is Your Life". I'm paying for porn.

Having said that, if we get to know more about models in the BTS videos, that's fine. That's an extra. I don't ever want to go back to the long-winded, often inane, interviews such as was done as part of scene time in BSB1.0. I realize that view borders on sacrilege around here, but I much prefer Clay's brief introductory interviews.

my taste in Broke Straight Boys leans toward the very nervous and the very cocky. the ratings are based on levels of satisfaction. it's hard to stay hard. it seems that when someone like that is in an episode i get a be careful what you wish for feeling.
but i do miss the nervousness.

Their is no way in hell to please everyone. Their are people liked that are 24 and some people are ways older then me. Some people like rough sex and dirty talking and some like slow passionate scenes. Me on the other hand like any scene that shows passion and has the models try their best to give a good show. But if you are boring and don't connect with you partner then I don't enjoy them. I loved the Scott scene because Kodi likes getting fucked like that and it's been a while since we've had a scene with sex like that. Scott is not attractive to me but because he tried and Kodi took it well I gave it a 5.

Except for the sometimes long winded interviews, I much prefer the way things were done in Broke Straight Boys 1. I think Broke Straight Boys 2.0 has gone to far in insisting that models progress quickly, and with kissing and passion. IN other words, it has become more of a College Dudes And people are saying over and over, it has become very predictable and is quickly losing its credibility as a straight porn site. I've had gay friends tell me they thought it was a gay porn site!

I gotta say, if it weren't for the forums, I'd be out of here! Some of the boys are hot, BLAKE and ADAM and PAUL a few others, but it is not like we see them all the time anyway, and it's getting to be too expensive for what it has become. I think my days are numbered.

That's where we differ mate. I liked David's interviews and at least he was interpretable. Most of the time I havn't a clue what Clay says.
