I've always thought they were kind of going out. Maybe just more of my useless speculation about backstories, but it seems like Tyler wouldn't do that, too fastidious, unless he was mega sure of Jacob's (and his own) HIV status and they were maybe in a relationship? If I remember right, David went through the motions of confirming that both boys were negative and had been tested. NS, I think it's simple, and Tyler already said it: he's totally weirded out by having to have sex with a guy while David, whom he's got to know in vastly other circumstances over at least a year, is filming him. It's weird for both of them. Wow guys. We are still a little over three hours away from the new Tyler & Scott scene, and the debate has already begun. I assume the action will move to it's own thread once the masses have seen and digested the latest incarnation of Tyler. All I can say at this point is that a lot of people still care about Tyler, for him to generate such passonite commentary.
I would hope that we all care about Tyler and wish him a happy successful life. I agree with Slim, that he is in a "different place" in his life than he was when he did his Tyler & Jacob scene. And his professional relationship with David must make it weird to be the naked boy on the futon again. My guess is that David coerced Tyler back in front of the camera, as the fans (me included) couldn't accept no more Tyler sex scenes.
It will certainly be fun to play connect the dots when Tyler & Scott is shown. We just saw Scott in his solo. We have also seen Scott in a heavy duty intense loving making fucking and sucking scene with Leon. elyot, I know you think that about him, but he's not gonna say no under any circumstances. In theory he was the absolute, metaphysical favorite of a huge majority of members (not just forumites, members) according to David, time and again. They got together at D&E, Tyler included, and worked it out that he was going to have to make a series of videos again, after having been behind the scenes for months, because as I say, in theory at least, he was still the biggest pull Broke Straight Boys ever had. The fact that so many people didn't like the Tyler they saw in HD must have knocked D&E sideways. Tyler was nervous and reluctant, very much in the mode of not suffering fools, and wished he were anywhere but having sex with David filming him, David especially, with whom familiarity had bred all kinds of emotions, bringing all kinds of office baggage and politics into their relationship. I have a similar theory about Tyler's reluctance to be on the futon as you Slim.
One of the points that some of the anti Tyler members are missing is that all the episodes that Tyler has appeared in since his post HD return were shot, what, 6mths ago & I am betting there are a few more in the can waiting to be posted. As David said about Braden there are 15+ episodes of him waiting in the queue.
