Simon Rex had more to say Friday about his one-time co-star Meghan Markle and the treasured thank-you note she sent him.

The actor and former MTV VJ told The Guardian earlier this month he once rejected tabloid offers of $70,000 to lie and say that he and Meghan Markle had slept together. Word got back to Markle, and she was so grateful that she sent him her thanks, which he framed. On Friday, he commented.

"This is true," he wrote as he retweeted the story. "And I framed the thank you letter she wrote me. She has very nice penmanship btw."

The two had met when they both appeared on the same show in March 2005. It was an episode of the short-lived UPN sitcom Cuts, which aired for two seasons in 2005 and 2006. They co-starred alongside cast members including Shannon Elizabeth and Shondrella Avery. And the closest they ever got, the newspaper noted, was a platonic lunch. So, for Rex, it was a hard no, no matter how desperate he was for cash.

"I was broke as f***! I really needed the money," Rex said. "But I'll be on food stamps before I do that."

The note of gratitude that he received said simply, "It's nice to know there are still good people." He was such a fan that he gave it a permanent spot on the wall of his home in California's Joshua Tree area.

Cuts was one of Markle's first TV appearances. She appeared on some other projects, including 90210 and Fringe, before becoming a cast member on USA legal drama Suits, which debuted in 2011. Markle left the series in 2018, weeks before marrying Prince Harry.

Music legend Phil Collins held his last concert ever amid his ongoing health issues.

Collins was joined by Genesis bandmates Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks for their last show ever at London's 02 Saturday evening. Collins, 71, performed the show sitting down and quipped to the crowd he will now need to find a real job, the Daily Mail reported.

The band reunited for The Last Domino? Tour this year after postponing due to the coronavirus. The tour came after a 14-year live performance hiatus.

Collins has suffered from numerous health issues in recent years, including dislocating vertebrae in his neck in 2007 that left nerve damage to his hands. He has used a cane since 2015, when he had back surgery, and revealed in September he can "barely hold" a drumstick.

"I don’t do anything at all. I don’t practise singing at home, not at all. Rehearsing is the practice," Collins told the Guardian in September.

Original Genesis member Peter Gabriel and guitarist Steve Hackett were reportedly not present for the band’s final concert.

Genesis first formed in 1967 and skyrocketed to fame in the 1970s, selling more than 100 million records. Collins became the band’s drummer and backing vocalist in 1970, before becoming lead vocalist in 1975.

I’m sorry to hear of Phil Collin’s declining health issues. I hadn’t heard that previously.

This is my favorite of his solo career. He is a great talent and seems like a very nice man. I’m very sorry that he is going through this.

My middle son taught me a valuable lesson some years ago. In one of our moves in San Diego he threw out some boxes that contained rare family pictures & monuments o my educational career such as my degrees & doctorate dissertation & research leading up to it. I watched the new Netflix documentary about Abercrombie & Fitch yesterday. It is a story of racism and greed, but they did employ the hottest looking guys at their peak. Bruce Weber was the photographer. Despite all the wrong things that CEO Mike Jefferies did, they employed and photographed among the hottest guys I can remember. Yes. In the documentary they gave a percentage. I forget the exact number but I think it was something like 70-80%. And even gay guys sued Bruce Weber for sexual harassment. Many got paid in settlements. It was a sexy but sleazy operation.
