This is not a new topic, especially from me, but the latest pairings and the upcoming scenes and potential pairings from the model pool we have seen do not give us much reason to believe that any straight types are in the offing. And I say this with the usual caveat that no truly "straight" boys have ever been on Broke Straight Boys, except for a few who only did a solo or perhaps received oral. But we do have a long, glorious history of the boys who fit into the "believably straight" category. Porn is fantasy and obviously those who choose to join this particular site out of all the porn sites out there have at least an interest in the fantasy of straight guys having sex with other guys.

There are a ton of examples of models who fit into my definition of so called "straight guys" who have sex with guys, ranging from David's original stint at Broke Straight Boys-1 with guys including Dustin, Diesal, Mike Robbins and Tank Shane moving forward to the era of Johnny Forza, Adam Baer, Ayden Troy Cage Kafig, Brandon Beal, Spencer Todd, through Abram Hoffer Kaden Alexander, and the list goes on an on. Of course we all have different taste and a different idea of who appears straight and who does not.

But my point is that since David returned to film Broke Straight Boys, we were introduced to Gino who fit right into my "believably straight" category, but sadly he was the first and last that fit that criteria. I understand that most folks get bored with two very straight types who don't want to do too much at first, but to pair the more openly gay or bi guys with a straight type has always worked out nicely. Friends tell me that Chaturbate is filled with hot young straight guys who like to entertain gay guys. Why doesn't Mark or Sha or David contact some of them to pair with the boys currently in the stable? If Gino who is a new to porn guy was found, there must be others out there who might like to earn some money and get a name for themselves on this site.

I am not making any empty threats to quit Broke Straight Boys as it is in my blood, but very few current scenes excite me sexually as my porn fetish is "straight boy/gay boy" sex and not "gay boy/gay boy" sex. I know that there are not as many folks posting on the forum as in previous times, but I'd love to know what other forumites think.

As usual, a thoughtful post on your perspective. I particularly agree with your statement "Of course we all have different taste and a different idea of who appears straight and who does not." Unless a model comes out and states "I am straight" or "I am gay" or "I am bi", I may have my own opinion on whether he looks it or not, but I'm hesitant to judge him as telling the truth or lying, when I just don't know. My caveat of course would be if a model says "This is my first time with another guy", and Jay then finds a slew of gay porn filmed by the model for other studios, then I would conclude that he is lying.

I agree. I prefer straight/bi, straight/straight, or straight/gay over complete gay pairings. I know it’s a task to find truly straight guys, but more masculine would be better. And I wouldn’t want any model to be hurt by reading any of this. I want everyone to celebrate their individuality and love themselves exactly as they are. I don’t want anyone to be insulted, but it is Broke Straight Boys and it is all about that fantasy.
And what’s up with seeing so many of these boys on the same certain website in Vegas? No offense, it takes away from the one thing I used to LOVE about Broke Straight Boys I love seeing guys that I can’t see anywhere else. That’s why I’m digging Gino and Javi and Jos Alvarez at the moment. I miss Ben, Ryan Pitt, Cody Smith, Landon, Ski Clesi, Ethan Erickson, etc. The type of guys who are exclusive to Broke Straight Boys and even if some are gay, they’re paired appropriately with a straighter type model. I’m also wanting to see more Diversity. I know I’ve said it before, but I want to see guys like Axel Green or Brice Jones. I have a whole wish list..lol. I know the names of all the guys I mentioned might not be everyone’s type, and that’s ok. There are others too like Ethan Steel, Elijah Scott, Ryan Parks, James Dawn, Jake Spencer etc. I think Ethan and James have a little previous experience, but it’s very minimal. They still feel exclusive to Broke Straight Boys
I don’t want to seem like a Debbie downer and I know we’re in difficult times, but I need more excitement..lol.

LOL, I love you KG. I did do that recently with Jack, but I’m usually not the one who finds out. LOL. Don’t y’all remember I was so devastated when we found out about Charles Owens? Someone else spilled that T and another member spilled the T about Kace Axel as well. I am actually more like you, KG. I really do try to believe what they say.

I so totally agree with you Jay, not on every model you mentioned as we are two different people with differing taste, but I do agree that Broke Straight Boys should offer a diverse group of body types and racial diversity to appeal to a varied audience's tastes, but all within the basic theme of the site. I've said it probably several hundred times on this forum as to why have two gay guys performing here when there is no novelty to that and it is in no way germane to the theme of broke "straight" boys.

And the second point is they should be novel to this site and not on every other site in the marketplace. I guess they were very fortunate to have Jake Spencer decide to work here and no where else. He never said that he was straight, but he was incredibly hot and exclusive to Broke Straight Boys And from the names you mentioned, I too would love to see Ski Clesi, Ethan Erickson, Elijah Scott, Ryan Parks, Axel Green and of course "my boy", Ethan Steel. lol

I appreciate your feedback and you are correct, this certainly isn't a new topic. It has also become increasingly hard to recruit models. With the "Do it Yourself" apps and sites that are out there, it is a challenge to talk a model in to coming down and staying a week in the studio where every single load they produce belongs to us. This means that they take a week off of that APP or site that they have regular customers on.

The "straight" identity has changed so much over the years from when I first started in the industry (24 years ago). When I was younger, you were either gay or straight, now one can identify as Straight, Gay, Bi, Pansexual, polysexual..... and the list goes on.

We have always strived to produce the best possible talent and scenes that are a bit more organic. We will also continue to strive to find those "straight boys" that are looking for a way to make some extra money. They are just far and few between these days, but they are out there. Just not as frequently as we would like to see.

Thank you very much Sha for responding to my post. And thank you even more for telling us, "We will also continue to strive to find those "straight boys" that are looking for a way to make some extra money."

That is very encouraging to know that your team including Mark and David are on the same page as I am. I appreciate your candor and your rapid responce.

No question that is a hot group of models, many from the not so distant Summer of 2019. Oh to get this pandemic over and bring most if not all of them back!

I also appreciate your feed back. I’m sure it is harder and harder to get these guys. In the old days I’m sure some of them thought they could make a quick buck and no one they know would ever find out about it. That is no longer a reasonable expectation so that probably enters into the equation. But they are out there. I follow a few older porn stars that are definitely straight. Put lots of female action on their only fans insist they are straight but also do gay for pay including anal. So they are out there. I think we would all be happier with some more masculine guys like Gino, even Calhoun who everyone knows is gay but he is more masculine.

I also realize the audience wants them to fuck right off the top so that makes it even harder. We appreciate your efforts though and I’m glad to hear you guys still even try. Often it looks like there is no longer an effort to even try for the theme of Broke Straight Boys

I have debated about throwing my two cents into this thread as I haven't been a member for that long and not exactly sure where in the chain of "style" I came to this site, but I do have my opinions about the current state of affairs here. Please understand that I mean no disrespect to anyone, management/model/director or anyone else connected to this site...and I may not have the names right in my assessment of who, where, why or when....
Interviews: I long for the interviews of Sha and the models. It was professional, informative, mature, and classy. Currently it comes across to me as cheap, unprofessional, and ill prepared and tacky.
Models:Most, but not all appear to me as totally gay and very much on the "nelly" side. There are a few exceptions. That doesn't mean that most of the boys aren't cute or attractive, just not that masculine. Under the previous filming regime models probably wouldn't be allowed to come across as disrespectful or rude. Not the case currently. The fake bravado I witnessed from one of the last scenes' model wouldn't have been tolerated. Quite frankly, he just isn't "all that" in my opinion. We "old folks" are the ones paying for his presence on this site. When compared to the classiness of someone like Tanner to this young man, there is no comparison.
While the thought of a straight guy having some sort of sex with either another straight guy or a gay guy is why I joined this site I am ok with pretending that at least one of the performers coming across as straight or mostly straight. I guess masculinity is what does it for me. I know there must have been many considerations in making the decision to revert to the original style but given what I have seen so far (there are extenuating circumstances I know) I much prefer the days of Jake, Tanner, and so many other fine young men, to the current situation. Thank you for chiming in Sha. It's nice to know you are still around with us. :001_wub: xo

As I've spoken to on another thread I don't think it's fair to give much in the way of negative feedback when we are in the midst of Covid. When referring to model hires in particular I'm well aware that the options of the company to hire, test and transport these models to the studio under current circumstances is extremely challenging. These are obviously not normal times.

The only thing that I might indulge in splitting some hairs on in your post is the issue of having straight, or straight-ish or straight-er models. It doesn't matter to me so much whether a straight acting model can prove that he has a girlfriend, or a wife, or kids. Or that he take a lie detector test to answer the sexual orientation question successfully in the strictly hetero affirmative. I don't mind if a model is secretly gay, pansexual, polysexual, bi, straight-curious, etc. If they're not truly straight, that's not a deal breaker for me. But I would prefer that at least one model of the pairing be more butch and able to pass for straight. Even if he's not straight.

Someone brought up Tanner and he's a perfect example of a model who I've come to see over time from social media and anecdotal evidence as being less than 100% straight. However he is still very popular on the site (for myself and others) precisely because he is butch enough to offer a nice contrast to some of the gayer and more effeminate models he's paired with. While it would be cool (for me at least) to have lots of scenes with seemingly straight on straight models performing gay sex, I realize how unreasonable and impractical that is nowadays.

I know right now that it's tough enough just to find a pool of models who are willing and able to make it safely to the set with all the upheaval going on in the world. But once things start to return to pre-Covid normal I'm hoping we'll see more of the types of contrasted pairings I describe above.

I started this thread to get people's opinions here, and I thank you SFPS01 for your offering your "two cents" on the topic. We are all paying members and all of our opinions are as valuable as anyone else's. We don't have to all agree on everything. And perhaps if management reads what we say here, they may get a different perspective on what the paying fans are thinking as well. It is all very good, in my book!

I would love to hear from more folks, even those who never or rarely post.

I agree that the other "self made" sites have changed the difficulty of acquiring talent. To be honest I have subscribed to a few dozen different guys on the "self made" sites over the last year and I think I've only gone maybe 2 months with a guy on rebill. They are way to heavy into promoting each other so much so my feed is just filled with crap and when they do post something that isn't an advert, it is a 20 second rub and cum video; that just doesn't do it for me. I want to see more than that. Some videos you can tell it is a mentality of "just get it over with". Here it seems like the models are enjoying themselves and it really does show, I think that's why I love it here.

I have been around off and on since BSB1 with David and the futon. This site was the very first one I subscribed to many many moons ago, it was an awakening for me, it helped me realize I was gay. I will always be a fan of this site, it was a part in me figuring out who I am.

I love reading what you said chac54 about how David & BBB-1 were a part of your figuring out who you are. As a long time fan of both, it makes me feel good hearing that from you. Thanks for sharing that.

Wow. This is so humbling and thank you for sharing your story. I have met a lot of guys young and old with the same story and as well as several guys that have applied and filmed with our studio.

Most people think that filming porn, we are immoral humans, doing drugs and having unprotected sex which is further from the truth and we have helped so many guys reconnect with there family, they have been encourage to better themselves and become better persons in life, many of the boys had told me if it wasn't for Broke Straight Boys, they would have ended up dead or in jail and that doing this has helped them discovered themselves and help with there self-esteemed.

Hearing your story and the affect that Broke Straight Boys had on your life, really makes me think what I am doing really has a purpose beyond, just filming porn and for that I respect you and all the others that have followed me and my work throughout these years.

I appreciated hearing Chac's story also. I'm glad Broke Straight Boys has had such a positive influence in his life.

As I have told you in the past David I am very grateful that you and Eddie have treated the models so well and encouraged them to chase their dreams after their prime porn days were over. I'm sure you (plural) were instilling confidence and hope in them to achieve things that they themselves didn't think they were capable of. Until they succeeded in doing them. haha

You're accomplishing far more here than just filming porn scenes. :)

As the owner of a college boy escort service (with a few 18-22 years olds not in college but with full time jobs) once put it, when you are 18-22 years old, for those few years, you have "the look" and you can either give away your sexual favors to your girlfriends or boy friends for free or you can cash in on your temporary "the look" by supplementing your income. But he stressed that his boys must never view his service as full time employment and must stay in school or keep their day job as the case may be. He himself was an entertainment promoter and ran his college boy escort service as a part time supplemental business. He did have some gay escorts, but mostly a lot of straight (or possibly bi) college students needing financial help for either their college expenses or to pay their child support orders or young men with day jobs generally needing money to buy or upgrade their car situations. A few but very few of the gay ones dabbled in gay porn, but never the straight ones as they did not want to be recorded on film and/or the internet having gay sex preferring to "supplement their income" on a down low basis. I see some similarities between David's philosophy and his. A few years ago, I read an article about a national service which matches college coeds with older male sugar daddies, and each match then negotiates how much money the sugar daddy contributes to her college funds and how many days per year the coed meets with him to satisfy his sexual needs in a mutually agreed upon manner. I wouldn't be surprised if there is also out there a similar matching service for gay college students and older gay sugar daddies. Because attractive 18-22 year olds tend to surround themselves with other attractive 18-22 year olds, they have no idea of how hot and attractive they are, and how valuable the sexual favors they give away for free really are. Things may be changing as the younger generations become more open about the fluidity of their sexualities. As the old saying goes "thank God for beautiful young people who need money!" But such young people can either be exploited or helped. David and the owner of the college boy escort service I just discussed clearly appear to be in the latter category of helping the young men who come to them. This is a thought provoking thread.

I hate that there is such a stigma around sex work. It should not be that way, sex work is work. Period. I think most people don't know how much time and effort actually goes into filming a studio shoot. My knowledge is limited to what I've read in forums and behind the scenes videos.

I can empathize with these guys that need the $$ to support their families and themselves. I don't have kids but I do have 2 nephews that I love like my own. I'd do anything to help them if they needed it. I've had rough times when I was younger where it was a challenge to buy a 99 cent loaf of bread and scrounging around the sofa cushions looking for dropped coins. I worked 40 hour weeks at minimum wage (what weekends ) and went to community college with a full course load.

It still irks me that when Sean Cody model Noel's school found out he did porn they suspended him (then reversed track once the public backlash started). He was only doing what needed to be done.

To the entire Broke Straight Boys staff, thank you for treating the guys with respect, and for taking the proper precautions for their safety.

That is the MAIN reason I have stayed a member since the beginning(the date on my profile is bc I updated). This company has always has the 'boys' best interest, while filming/working. SURE there have been/were a few 'sour grapes/rotten apples' in the bunch over the years, but that is just life, as well life experience
