First of all 75 deg is the perfect temp for our city. This last week we have reached up to the mid 80s, and the next week or so we'll be heading into the mid 90s. Very hot for us!! My Mom is visiting from AZ where they have no humidity and she said it feels like being at home here, but muggy. Hows it where you live??

It's always the summers that make me wonder why I live in Texas. I have a rule, I cannot bitch about the heat until after Sept. 14th, Steve's birthday. But until that time, I'm definitely an indoor person. It is mid-July, so now we're talking 100's with less wind and a fair amount of humidity...yuck!:bored:

It has been a very pleasant week, mostly mid 80's and sunny, not as hot as usual in the summer in the city, which is good, as I have an old friend staying with me for a few days, and I've been way more active than usual, mostly walking around Brooklyn and Manhattan on some beautiful sunny days and cool pleasant nights. But I know this is only temporary and that the "dog days of summer" are still to come, but it's been very nice this past week.

Agreed its been a good summer temperature wise here in Brooklyn. Next week they say the polar vortex of the horrible winter will return and bring cool temps for a few days.

It is the low 90's and humid in Florida now. However, afternoon thunderstorms tend to cool things off. As for the humidity, I have lived here all my life. I find it hard to breath when I have been in areas with no humidity.

I hate the heat! Seattle is usually so mild, but we are having 2 straight weeks of temps in the 80's and low 90's, which is very unusual for us. Give me a nice 60 degree day with bright sunshine in the early Fall!!!

Yep I love those days too!! But a perfect summer day here for me is 75 and sunny. Played golf yesterday in Everett and usually this course is packed on a sunny sunday, but the heat kept a lot of people home. So worked well for us!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one as I hate the heat as well, I live in the uk and where I am its going through a heat wave and I hate it, I'm one of those people that can't sleep unless my pillows cold as well so ir may sound weird but sometimes if its really hot I have to put my pillow in the freezer for a couple of minutes. I know I'm a freak of nature loll. Dan x

Whats that equivalent to in American degree's? 30 deg here is below freezing

It's A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

After, a week of hot muggy super humid days, followed by torrential rain with thunder and lightening, we are now in a stretch of exceedingly beautiful days here in NYC, with sunny skies, low humidity and temps peaking at 82 degrees. And this weather is forecast to last through the weekend. What a great respite from the typical hot humid "summer in the city" days.

In the first sentence I thought you were talking about Florida lately. lol Except the temps tend to be in the low 90's right now.

I love visiting Florida in the winter and early Spring months, but the summers are what prevent me from seriously considering residing there, even in my upcoming retirement years.

65 breezy with fog...San Francisco,California....

What a lovely city, Johnny, is San Francisco!

"A" XOXOXOXOXOXO

I have to agree Ambi. While I'm not fond of the cold, and being Floridian means 65 degrees in summertime is cold, I have always envied those who lived in San Francisco. With its hills, quirky houses and winding streets, the closeness to the Pacific ocean and all of the stunning vistas afforded one on the northern California coastline...it just looks like a great place to live. The fact that its almost a gay Mecca is just icing on the cake. :)
