I think that the intention of a solo, is to get to know the new guy. That being said......I think the solo's need to have a lot more talking between clay........or CHAD......and the newbie. This is a great opportunity to see how they do behind a camera AND to see their personality and back story, but we are not doing that enough. I don't even watch the whole solo..........if there is no interviewing/talking/getting to know the guy. We have proven on this site, how important personality is.

Back in the days of VHS videotapes, there were audition tapes from Bel Ami called 101boys. The ten part series (got most) were the so called casting tapes. those old tapes are great. they had an audition tape appearance. just give me a cum shot scenes like the ones you mention were in deed edited down to the final 3 to 4 minutes.

i think it has something to with how the performer presents himself and how well the camera captures that presentation and how well the finished episode is presented.

I generally agree that most solos can be edited down to a three or four minute scene skipping a lot of repetitive stroking and getting down to the nitty gritty in a reasonable amount of time.

But if a guy is totally hot and beautiful, as today's solo artist, Jake was, I loved watching each and every minute of it, as I could not take my eyes off his fine body, and found myself glancing about from his face to his arms, to his chest to his abs to his legs and feet with his toes curled as he approached his release.

That depends who you ask! Everyone has their own idea of what is hot and what is not. Some people loved Jake's solo today, while others may find it rather boring. There is no right or wrong. Models come here and perform according to far they are willing to experience gay for pay, and we come here to view and critique, based on our own preconceived notions of what we want to see. There will probably not be a consensus. But that is what makes this whole Broke Straight Boys experience so wonderful and fun, all the variance.

I really don't need or want to know every jot and tittle of the model's life. Name, age, relationship status, why he's here is fine with me. Sometimes the added questions about first times, etc. are fun as long as the "interview" doesn't last more than 3 minutes max. After all, I pay to see sex, not an episode of "This is Your Life".

Although I do feel like Clay is trying to get a bit more personal info out of the guys. And by the way, the information doesn't necessarily have to be true, but just based on the truth. Absolutely Robert I am totally pleased by the number of responses this got, I hope the powers that be will be able to use the information gained to help make a better product.

As for what I think is pretty much along the same lines as some of those we heard from. I think they should be a more extended interview session with a prearranged or standard list of questions so nobody starts stuttering. I would love to see them use a lavaliere microphone or shot gun on a boom to get better sound from the model and also one on the interviewer so we can hear and understand both sides of the conversation. To make the interview portion more exciting for those less interested they could have the model remove his cloths during the interview and basically interview him in the nude. They could talk about and show his favorite body parts to help get them very comfortable with showing their body. When the interview is over and it is time for the JO I think it should be cut down to just a few minutes. Showing only several highlights and staying under 4 minutes from interview to cum scene.

The one comment about having them get milked on all fours sounds hot as hell but not doable in a solo of course.

I also got the feeling that I knew the model better because even after the solo, going on to the duos, David would continue updating us on what was going on in certain model's life. One of the best and funniest solo and mini series on Broke Straight Boys is of Holden. Holden was not the prettiest guy but wow, he certainly was the funniest and had more personality than a lot of models put together.

Of course, it is easy to criticise a guy when he's no longer around to reply.

Go to "Episodes" and look for "Logan & Holden", "Logan, Holden and Jay", and "Logan, Jay, Holden". Sorry, I'm not as knowledgeable as some of our other forumites and don't know how to post links...
