Bravo!!! I know that the Academy Awards are tomorrow night, but this 'film" was released too late for consideration for this year's awards. Perhaps Dave could get consideration for best director, and Shane best actor, and of course Alex best supporting actor.

I really enjoyed it and Shane surprised me by sucking on Alex. I'm making fun as usual but I liked both of them a lot. Maybe the acting WAS a little more obvious with these two, Alex being monosyllabic and a bit glum when in fact he's really a smiley kid, and Shane being Sean Penn in Dead Man Walking, a tad on the melodramatic side, with heavy sighs and hollow voiced responses. Maybe they rehearsed together a couple of times before the shoot since they're mates, and established their characters for the episode. I'd like to think that anyway. Like Eric and Ross, they came to the sofabed with some stage business planned, at least to the extent that they had compared notes on the orientation session Dave says he runs them through (the multiple interviews). I'm pretty sure both their personas were thought about before hand, and that they were trying to be in character in a way they'd contemplated already.

And the best part was when their facades cracked a touch. I love that part, that's the real reality of the episodes.
