The mayor had a press conference and said that NYC expects up to 2 to 3 feet of snow and high winds. He also said it will be #1 or #2 in city history. I can't wait. I wonder what Ill do all day. Hope electric and internet keeps going.

I just heard the same news Joey. I have my car parked right in front of my building and I will take the subway to work Monday morning. By Tuesday morning we are expected to be covered in as you said two to three feet of snow, potentially a record breaker here in New York City. I am expecting and hoping work to be closed on Tuesday. I did my regular weekly shopping yesterday so I have all my supplies and as you say as long as the power stays on and I have my computer, I will be as "snug as a bug in a rug". (By the way, that is an old man expression, Peterh! lol :001_rolleyes:).

My, this might be a great time to "snuggle with a neighbor"...and since you both are in Brooklyn?!

Brooklyn's a big borough Beth and Joey is quite a distance from me, but I do have a neighbor living in the apartment right above me who is 30, with a lean ripped body. I used to see him putting out his garbage shirtless last summer, and perhaps he girlfriend will be away at work, and he might come downstairs for a cup of hot cocoa and a massage, hmmmmmmmmm. A guy can dream, can't he????.

You lucky guys. We are on the back end of this storm and are only supposed to get 4-8 inches.

I hope the weather people are wrong. Its happened before. I'm too old for these record breaking storms.
Beth maybe the management will send that guy I spoke of recently and he can shovel as I watch. Our windows face the front and the back and the side. I can follow him and watch. Mike we have 2 guys down the hall in their 20's that make money shoveling in snow storms . I'll invite them in for coffee and to warm up. I can't wait for it to be over.

Well it's on its way.....It's snowing here in Gettysburg, Pa...Time is 9:05 P.M.......soon you will be able to make all the snow angles you want....LOLOLOLOL....

You're not going to believe where I am spending the next few days for work? Buffalo! We counted over 100 plow trucks in covoys headed your way NYC!

Johnny's right...everyone please be safe; make sure you're inside when you're "plowing," it's just too bad outside.

They down graded the storm over night now its JUST a little over 2 feet hahaha what a break. Started here in NYC but not my area of Brooklyn yet. I did everything yesterday but have to be out and about till at least 330 PM. Hope it's just a little till then.

I'm scheduled to work until 6 PM and then subway it home. The forecast is still saying the heavy stuff won't start until later tonight into tomorrow, and I'm sure hoping for a snow day off on Tuesday!

Subways close at 10 PM tonight and cars are banned too. The city will basically shut down, but at the moment it is still just a light snow with maybe two inches on he ground. Well I'm happy as my job will be closed tomorrow. :par50::thumbup::nicethread:

Ended up with about 5 inches in my neighborhood. Wish I were getting your amount - last I heard on the news 12-18" in NYC. Glad to hear you got off tomorrow. Always nice to watch it snowing when you don't have to go out.

What happened to the age of technology ? If there is a threat of people not getting into work in my job, then they just log in from home.

Its 8 am and about 6" on the ground maybe another few later . Driving ban lifted subways and buses getting ready to come back. I'm definitely not complaining about the downgrading of the blizzard to a winter storm.
