Hi Blake:
What are your standards for rating [ ie - just a straight 0 - 10 with 10 being highest or would you break it down and be more precise as to what was wanted in vid example
a. body chemistry 1-10
b. camera closeups of action
c. action
d. verbal interview
e. overall
etc
perhaps such a detailed evalation would lead to improvements in models showings.

In a way we do rate them when we vote on the scene. Of course, not everyone votes. And also a while back we were told by webmonkey that a variety of factors go into rating a scene's popularity, the most important being the number of hits a scene gets, which of course we don't know.

But, Blake, if you just go by the ratings shown on the scene site, and popularity of a model with forum members (which doesn't necessarily mean total membership), then you are one of the most popular, if not the most popular model; yet, you haven't filmed in 3 months. How does that compute?

So exactly how do you suggest, other than what we do already, we further rate or convey to management our like or dislike of a scene or model?

There is something to be said for not becoming over-exposed. Sometimes distance makes the heart grow fonder. We've had periods in the past when some great models were on too often and started losing some of their popularity and fan interest through no fault of their own.

I agree I've mentioned it so many times but its fallen on deaf ears. The same videos stay on the page and with how many amazing scenes there are it should rotate. I agree the ratings system should change but that's not a big problem for me.

Blake buddy I always give your scenes a high vote and I've watched them over and over. When I see one of your scenes on xtube I have to watch it and give it 5 stars.

Blake gets high ratings from me as well because he always seems to connect and have fun with whomever he is with. I'm sure it's his "generous" personality...he's so giving!

I understand your confusion Y&C. The truth is that the Members' Favorite section of top 10 videos has nothing to do with their ratings. It's very random. There have always been scenes that rated higher than some in the Top 10, yet never got another mention on the home page after they aired.

The top ten videos is a formula based on hits plus ratings. However, and I just noticed this, that even though the formula is automatic, it needs to be manually run to update the homepage. I believe that manual operation might have fallen through the regular maintenance crack, but I just updated it, and I also have made sure it is something that will get updated much more frequently.

Thank you Clay for again explaining that you guys consider the popularity of a scene based on "hits plus ratings", and so the "votes" that we see are not necessarily the true "ratings", but only a factor used to determine the popularity of a scene.

Actually Jon, as of this moment he appears in five of the top ten! He sure has the "look" of an ideal twink, but obviously the majority of the forumites are not in sync with the general audience as he has lost his luster among many of us.
