Rules of engagement:
1. Do not attack the messenger. Critisize his philosophy, but not him. If you see an argument put forth that you don't agree with, post a contrary argument, but don't attack the other guy for having a different opinion.
2. ALL points of view are welcome. There is no such thing as an incorrect opinion.
3. Say what is on your mind. Don't be shy. But preview before you post.
4. Feel free to express non-PC beliefs, your opinons are protected. This is America.
5. Don't worry about "offending" anybody with your belief, policy, attitude, or philosophy. But don't offend by attacking the person expressing the opinon. Be a gentleman. But you don't have to be soft.
6. If you have seen Congress on C-Span, try to do it like they do, polite but forceful in your advocacy of your point.
7. NONE OF THIS: An ad hominem, also known as argumentum ad hominem ("argument against the man") consists of replying to an argument or factual claim by attacking or appealing to a characteristic or belief of the source making the argument or claim, rather than by addressing the substance of the argument or producing against the claim. The process of proving or disproving the claim is thereby subverted, and the argumentum ad hominem works to change the subject.
