When I was in college in the early 70's, long hair, and bushy sideburns were "all the rage" among college age youth. The "old farts" of that time said that long hair and tie dye t shirts and baggy jeans were terrible looking. And of course, there were the hippies versus the hardhats involved with the Vietnam War. The bigots of that time called us "commies", cause we were opposed to the war, and we dressed differently and wore our hair differently and listened to loud rock music. I decided back then not to become a prejudiced old man when I reached my 50's.

So, while I am not personally a fan of body piercings and tattoos myself, or even rap/hip hop music, or heavy metal or thrash or whatever they call today's current music, I respect young people having their own style, and individuality. And being an older man who is into young guys, (that's why I belong to this site), I enjoy seeing the young guy's on this site, dressing as they do on the street and having their body piercings and tattoos, as they do. Shane is a total hottie, and his hat and tattoos look good on him. Alex is a fine bodied young guy, and the metal does not detract from his sexiness.

If you want to see real guys in their late teens and early twenties, then get used to the look of today's youth. Don't you want "real" guys who appear in their natural state, as opposed to models "dressed" by Broke Straight Boys to appear the way some member's want them to look? I respect generational individuality, and applaud the youth that wears their generation's ornamentation and apparel. Just one "old fag's" opinion.

I will probably regret this later, but.........

I was a college student in the 70's. The young men are not much different today in looks. Sure clothing and hair styles change. It was long then, it is short now. I think the majority of young men look very good these days, at least the ones I see.

I live not far from the campuses of Emory University and Georgia Tech. I have occasion to see those students frequently since I know two young gay guys, one of whom attends school at Emory and the other goes to Tech. I see them and their peers often. I have yet to see any tattoos, facial hair, or piercings. Same is true at the University of Georgia, my alma mater. That is something that one tends to see on lower class people. On top of that, many of my riding and shooting companions are college age boys and they don't have tats or piercings. The trailer trash are not the majority and certainly are not all young people, contrary to what some old queens might think.

I think it has more to do with class than anything. If you hang out with trailer trash you will see tats and piercings. You will not see that at the clubs, by "clubs" I mean country clubs and gentlemen's clubs. Nor will you see them in the finer restaurants, hotels, and resorts. I went shopping a while back on Madison Ave. in NYC and I did not see any tats and piercings on any boys in the better stores. Indeed they were well dressed. And trust me, there is no shortage of college age men on the fashionable streets of Manhatan on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Be certain that the boys covered with metal and tats are a minority in this country overall. I have two eyes and they work just fine.
