As Stowe mentioned, in the "controversial" Straight talk Part 3, Sha mentioned and Johnny confirmed that he is exclusive.
In BSB1, I think that Tyler, Dustin, Diesal, Danny, Mike Robbins, Tank Shane and Logan, as Jon mentioned were exclusives, until their contracts expired.
And Jon while you were away from the site, as BSB2 was introduced, there was another guy who became a Broke Straight Boys Exclusive. In fact I think he had a few folks who did not like him too
, but Jimmy Johnson did have a one year exclusive here too. And from clips presented here after he moved on, he apparently is still thriving in the gay for pay porn genre, and as far as I know he still has kept his virginity intact.

speaking for myself, i have no interest in watching a bait bus video. over the years, i have known several guys who found their way into that van. no one has ever come away from the experience with a good feeling. few of the videos left me with a good feeling.

I remember hearing of this site also, in some very unflattering terms I might add. We had a model here named Bobby back in 2009 who talked about being on that site. He doesn't go into great detail here but he strongly indicates that he was not treated well or respectfully at all. Among other things he says they didn't pay him what they promised. Sounds like things haven't changed much over there. As for Bobby himself he was a bit older than typical models. Still a nice body though. He had a personality that was really endearing to me. I just wanted to hug him.

I don't normally get involved in any JJ talk because he doesn't impress me much. But I do know he is either hated or loved by other members. Thanks for the info Mike

In the same vein, saw that Porn Shane made 4 videos on a site called "Oh Boys." Watched two of them: one where he was topped by two guys in a three-way and one where he did a guy in a faux leopard skin sling. Incidentally, Bait Bus is really cheesy and cheap looking with no class, so I'm not surprised that models have said they had a bad experience. I honestly can't believe that anyone would subscribe to it. And Paul, stepping in as you did was very impressive: good for you!

I just read this post and found it interesting. I too have come across a "few" models on different sites or in various clips since joining Broke Straight Boys website. I couldn't tell you if they were "Blu-Media" or not. I see from Paul's comment that, maybe the guys who want to explore the industry might be inclined to shop around. I have been quite pleased with the Broke Straight Boys site overall. The guys vary so much that, I am sure just about everyone's desired "type" of guy will be represented. I have actually enjoyed watching guys perform that I didn't even think I would find interesting until watching them in a scene. Some guys who I thought I would really enjoy, weren't great performers, or performed better when paired with the right person. I just love the variety and even if I am disappointed with one scene, there are always the new ones to look forward to. Take time to review some of the old scenes and you will not be sorry you did!

It's true that you'll find a few Broke Straight Boys models on other sites. They are most likely to be models from the Broke Straight Boys-1 era. (Which means models who were on the site about 2 years ago or longer) Although there has also been a handful of models from the last 2 years who have found work on other sites...there aren't very many. It's also true that the vast majority of former Broke Straight Boys models who are found on other sites, started here first. Not the other way around. Broke Straight Boys prides itself on finding new amateur models.
It's always fun when a new model who you expect not to like, ends up blowing you away and becoming a favorite. Such was the case for me with Brandon Beal. I saw the photographs of him prior to watching his solo and I wasn't all that impressed at first. In hindsight I realized that sometimes (like me) he doesn't always photograph very well. But he looks great on video and presumably in person. When I saw him on video and saw glimpses of his strong and very likeable personality...I was hooked. Now I Love Brandon and consider him a favorite.

Meet him at the Parliament House in Orlando and a great guy! He has so much personality. Definitely one of my favorite guys. I'm heading to Atlanta pride as well in October and hoping he will be there.

My thoughts on this subject, are precisely, these:
If you are thinking of doing modeling of the Broke Straight Boys kind, or erotic videos, to help pay the bills. . . it isn't exactly as if there were a guidebook; or, as if some wise career-counselor were going to tell you, "Young man, you ought to choose this site, not THAT ONE!!! LOL!!!
I imagine it is all pretty much "trial-and error" - just as it is for most of us, in most of our jobs. While I know that many of us older fans (who've been fans for a while) have a sense of which sites are good ones to work for, and which are NOT - most models dipping a cute toe into the water, can hardly HAVE that sense. (Especially the straight models, who are, by definition, probably NOT avid consumers, or even auditors, of gay erotica ;-)))
FOR ALL THESE GUYS, I know the more kindly amongst us, wish nothing but the best: WE HOPE that they make a little money, have a little fun, and perhaps get to meet some nice people, while broadening their horizons. Some companies are better venues for such experiences, than others. And, of course, we ALL hope that the models we like (indeed, ANY models, at ALL) will find the better experiences. But, please remember, for a new and would-be model, it is all a process of trial, and error.
So. . . . Mr. Canon has absolutely NO apologies to make to anyone. Nor have we judgements to make, or sighs to heave. It is great that Paul is here among us, NOW: and if it is all working for HIM, and he's making money and having fun and being cared-for (in terms of his health and safety): it's all good. And we should all just say, "Thanks, Paul!" and be cool with THAT. I think.
