I will take everything into consideration that you have told me, its important that i know the good and the bad so that i am not ignorant towards what i could be feeling.. so thank you.

But maybe you could lie to me a little bit so as to not instill in my head that its not going to work... lol cuz it important that this stops, its not just physical, its mental too. so if i have people telling me its not going to work.. it probably wont, and if they keep saying bad things will happen, my brain will make it so.. its the Placebo effect.

I do really appreciate your concerns, lol the doctor told me all that and more.. i assure you..

gotta have a little faith in medicine, its what saves lives, not perfectly or all the time, but it works. I will pull through this! i have no choice.

That right there was a really cool, well thought out, and i know emotional messages to share with all of us, im sure i speak for everyone when i say thank you for sharing that.

I know this thread for you had met the goal that i had set, to allow you to take a trip that you havent thought of in probably a while, to take this opportunity to remember all the friends you use to know, work with, party with, Love, and get into trouble.

Yes, Blake, it was a trip down memory lane and gave me a chance to reflect on my life as framed by my work experiences. Thanks for your kind words. I spent a lot of time working in the federal government arena back at a time when there was less rancor and more of a desire to get the best solutions to our problems. Blake, you are an incredible kid, (and I say "kid" in an extremely complementary way, as I do enjoy young people very much). You have taken this forum by storm, encouraging us to relate our past histories to you.

I appreciate the respect that you have for the older generation, as many guy's your age think that people our age are boring, old codgers, whose opinion's hold no relevance to someone your age. From reading your other thread on science, I was impressed with how much regard you hold for your father, who taught you about the earth and the sun at a very young age, and how you treasure that memory.

Thank you so much for not being an "ageist" and respecting those of us old enough to be your father, and I shudder to say this, but old enough to be your grandfather too.

You rock Blake!!! You are much more than a pretty face, and a sexy body. You are a very cool young dude who has so much to offer to the world, as you progress through life. I hope you realize that you are indeed a special person. Thanks so much for stumbling upon this forum through your current part time profession and helping light up many of our lives, through your up beat personality, and your genuine interest in us.

Once again, mikey, you are right on point and I agree with you 100%. Just the other day, I was talking to a friend about ageism in the gay community and I said at my age, 70, in gay years I've been dead for at least 20 yrs. - lol!!!

And you're right it is refreshing to see a young person who has an appreciation for us older folks. As I tell some of the young kids here in the 'burgh - some day you will be us and remember what goes around, comes around.

but yes i really really respect my dad, i kinda feel more guilty because he never actually got a chance to raise me, but he is still my dad.
