Nah, I meant nothing by that remark, other than I don't like being referred to as Scotty.
If I was being really snarky I would have quoted his "I completely disgagree with you on your last point scotty c, but that is as far as I'm going with it.", in regards to my Ellison quote and said something like, "Well knowing that you're a Republican, it doesn't surprise me you disagree with people having an informed opinion".
But that would be wrong.
Altough the post was worded a little harshly, I have to say that I don't fully disagree.
To be all high and mighty and pretend that there is a vast difference between prostitution and what these boys are doing is just nuts. Think about it - They would NOT be sleeping with these men in their normal sex life (hence the STRAIGHT part). They are engaging in sexual activities with the intention of profiting monetarily.
The difference in this is that it's a more controlled experience and there is less risk involved.
I'm not trying to be offensive. I don't look down on anyone, including the models (I've thought about applying, actually). What got me especially riled though was the insinuation that it was acceptable for members of the site to use PM's to solicit sex from the models. As if that would not make any of the models feel uncomfortable, harrassed, "dirty" or otherwise demeaned. Or more bluntly to indicate that that was perfectly acceptable because since they model, they're all whores anyway.
Everybody can have their own opinion on the morality of modeling.
It's when you defend or engage in the private solicitation of a model that really crosses a line. And what does that say about those who DO look down upon a model, as a whore, and then actively solicit one? How much higher on the moral rung of the ladder is the pay-er vs. the pay-ee? If at all...
I totally agree. People should never be harassed or demeaned. Nobody here had the right to make any rude comments toward the models any more or less than they do the other people in their lives.

I know exactly what you mean on that point. And you're right of course. A model should be worldly enough to know that at some point he will most likely be propositioned (read solicited) by a fan. Maybe it will even happen often. Regardless though that doesn't make it right or okay. Some models will have the social skills to be able to laugh it off. Some may even enjoy the attention and be flattered. Even if they have no intention of trading sex for cash. But some of these guys are so young, naive, vulnerable and over their heads...that they will be hurt and offended by it. Those especially are the ones I want to protect. How much does the typical 18, 19 or 20 year old know about the ways of the world? Or how to cope with it? And even the more worldly ones should not have to put up with being hounded or harassed.

I don't think anyone of the models should be treated bad in anyway. I like the models. and I don't know how some of the names they are being called came up, it does make me wonder what kind of messages the models were actually getting from people.
I'm wanting to be in some videos too and I'm not going to worry about what they call me..They can call me what they want. I'm not going to be offended by what others think of what I may do on a futon or a couch or anything else.

Grandma said that noone ever got jealous of someone who they believed was worse off then them, They only run down those who they believe (maybe even falsely) is above them. She said that she believed that they was just trying to bring me down to there level so that they could feel like they and I have something even anything in common. I guess in a way it was because they was jealous of me. She thought that they wanted to be friends with me because they liked me for some reason , but that for some reason they thought I was out of reach to them and it made them do those things. She also told me that there is only two things I can do...I would have to either fight them or somehow close the gap that they believed was there...I always listen to my grandma and so I went to school the next day and was just going to fight them. They came back over as expected to give me some more shit and I picked up the biggest one there and slammed him against the wall and asked him if he wanted me to kick his ass or would he rather be friends. he just looked at me all shocked and shit, and said,"I would rather be friends", so we became friends, and still are till this day. I never had anymore trouble out of him or his friends...because it turns out that grandma was right...They just wanted to close the gap so that we could be friends and didn't know how to do it.
Maybe alot of people here are just trying to close a gap that they think is there because they want to be Friends. They just don't know how to do it.

The typical 18, 19 or 20 year old knows a serious bunch about the ways of the world. We have a 13 y.o. in my family and he's not even especially alert to what's going down outside his own clean little preteen universe, but he'd laugh his wonderful chuckle if anyone tried gently to enlighten him about the kinds of ways of the world we're discussing here. It's almost disrespectful to the guys we're talking about to suggest that they aren't more brilliantly informed about masses of questionable things than we, glued to our keyboards (ewww), hypothesizing about their knowledge and experience level.

With the internet age there is very little that young guys don't know about sex. In theory at least, if not in practice. It's the maturity level and social skills, with which they cope with all that information and personal responsibility, that varies from person to person.
In fact I was on the other side of this debate a while back when I suggested something (rather innocent I thought) that I'd like to see the models do. A poster jumped in to denounce me with the "innocent woodland creatures" argument. I stated in a PM that the models know full well that they are signing up for an adult video website. They are not signing up for a 1950's boy scout summer camp. I'm all for keeping it real.

I did some research for you baal, and guess what? I found a technicality in the Arizona Constitution that prohibits the State from keeping any Free Man within it's borders aganist his will, what this means is, if you are a free man, you have the God given right to hop on Interstate 10 and drive in any direction away from that which makes you so miserable. Perhaps you and ihateariz can carpool and find another place to live that will make you both truly happy. Life is too short to not be happy. I hear St. Cloud, Mn. is lovely this time of year.
