I think the members on the Forum have done allot to inspire recent changes. However, change should be slow amd progressive. Making change slowly makes sure that the formula for success isn't damaged. It almost seems like every time mgt. answers a question we all have a solution or opinion of how to fix it. In essence that is good. However; making change is more than getting and receiving good ideas. Often times there is a need to conduct sample market testing and so forth. I do think David and Mark do throw us a Dildo from time to time so that we can scratch our itch for knowledge. LOL
Right on. But we are supposed to be the market research; that's what this forum was invented for. Blu could try "Thinking Obama" for a change and react quickly and creatively to ideas that strike a chord with them. As a consultant I've often been paid embarrassingly large amounts, not to tell a client anything especially radically new, but to put in perspective and prioritize what he already sensed or had actually perceived.
Dickhead noticed the same thing that I have in regard to Blu ignoring the hard questions and the hard questioners. If we butter our posts with lots of LOL and Great Job and Thanks From the Bottom of My, we sometimes get answers. But a direct query, maybe a bit thorny, just floats on by, floatin', floatin', don't ask, don't tell...a fart in the down elevator that just gets ignored.
Oh, I hear you. I realize you guys have merit for your questions too. I just think that there is a better way to resolve the improprieties that may be different.
Jayman, when I post questions on the Forum, they are general in nature, agreed, some are pointed, but overall general questions that I think the members of the Forum would be interested in seeing answered. I'm not asking for a complete home makeover here, tweaks, minor alterations, semblance of order, these are changes that don't require lengthy consultations, or studies to fix.
What it does take is someone to be in charge and make a decision. "Hey we're getting a little sloppy in the sequencing of the episodes, let's tighten that up" "Check your work on the narratives" "I've had feedback that we are not being timely in our responses to our members, check your posts and answer them" These are quick fixes that don't require consultants or studies, just someone to be in charge and be able to give direction and guidance.
Any good ship of commerce sails smoother with a firm captain who's not afraid to give hard orders and a crew that follows them.
Hey guys First let me thank you for some of the opinions. I wrote them down and i promise it won't be forgotten.
Now, I'll be frank with you for a second, I'm a bit disapointed in how this thread turned out. Pointing fingers was the last thing i thought would happen. Mark and i never discussed about redoing the members area, but i took it upon myself to ask you guys because i was very interested in seeing how the members area could be better. Now i feel bad that i even started this discussion.
NOW i want you to understand that Mark is a business man (or the captain like you said , and has zillions things to take care of. I don't even know how he does it. BUT still, he finds some time to post here. He might overlook things but knowing Mark really well, he does not do it on purpose. I don't even have time to read all the posts here. I mean that'd be crazy and i would never have work done
I want you to understand that Mark's the owner of Broke Straight Boys, but I created IT (Design wise). This is like a baby to me, and it's very close to my heart. I know it might sound silly but after 4 years of working on a site everyday, you tend to get very close to it, AND i want you to understand that i'll do everything i can to make it even better for you guys.
All i'm asking you guys is just take a seat back, take it easy and give me valid points without pointing fingers. We're all trying to do a good job here. It's a new year, we have to deal with tons of things so give us a little time and i promise things will change in the members area
Let me thank you again for all the time you put in giving us ideas. Some of them are really good and i'll make sure they get added really soon
Alright, that's all i had to say

Scorpio, thank you for reeling us in a bit. I really find your work pretty amazing. It takes a lot of code writing to get the site to look as good as it does. Anyone who can write lines of programing code and produce something as visually appetizing as you have should be commended. I did not intend to stab anyone in the back or personally attack what others had to say.
I do like the Broke Straight Boys home page. As I said, the Forum is addicting as it is. You guys have really done a great job toward developing a whole web based community that allows us to interact with each other and management. I find that I enjoy the Forum as much as the websites. Thank you for your hard work...
