I also want to thank everyone who's written me to express support for a very very bad week I've had, on top of losing my friend in hospice about three weeks ago. Thank you!

I just read this post of yours for the third time and I have tears in my eyes. You have lead such a rich life thus far, and I love when you allow us to share some of the stories of the people you've known and the things you have done. You are one of the sweetest, gentlest, kindest people I've ever had the honor to know, and I'm so proud that you've chosen me to be your friend.

As time permits, I'd love for you to share more of your life's experiences with us here, as you are a beautiful writer. You express yourself clearly and concisely in your own style. Thank you so much for being on this forum and for being my friend.

it's now Tuesday and still no body has been recovered. What makes it so sad is that no one has reported anyone missing either.

Wow. That sucks. Probably shows that he didn't have many friends or a support system in place to help him cope. There are too many people in the world in that situation. :/

We have a bridge here called the Sunshine Skyway bridge that has been notorious for suicides since the 1950's. A family friend who was 17 years old jumped off that bridge when it was discovered he was gay. This occurred in 1963. This occurred so often back in those days, but now the tide is changing. The crimes are becoming more violent. A man went to court today and was charged with killing his ex-girlfriend, boyfriend and her parents. Another man in our state killed his 6 grandchildren. More recently, a man who was distraught because he was going through a divorce, shot himself and his three children. One survived.

It seems that when a person wants to take himself out these days, he wants to take others with him.

However, this has been going on throughout mankind for as long as we have existed. The difference is that today we have the resources and technology to bring this news to the public.

It all began with Cain and Abel!
