Abe dude, don't be so quick to leave. I just checked out Chasen's history and this film was probably the first or 2nd one he ever did. Where Chasen is concerned the site has shown 2 x 3somes (the one with the two Mike's was the best where Chasen got a good fucking). He has also done a duo with Mike King - again Chasen bottomed. I was curious how you came about your statement that, "Broke Straight Boys has become very boring and unexciting the last couple of months"? You then go on to say that, "the last time something incredible ... Jimmy & Diesal series...". I would 100% agree that each of us have our own unique interpretation of what is hot and not. So rather than ask how you came up with your conclusion that it has been getting "boring" since the Jimmy and Diesal series I did my own little study.

That series average a 4.6 rating. So what I did was look at every episode from that last one to the most current one. Every episode that scored a 4.5 or higher was counted in my survey. I used that as a bench mark since this would mean 90% or more of the members agreed it was HOT! (Plus 90% = an A).

So from Aug. 10, 2009 (after the last Jimmy/Diesal episode) to date we have had 20 episode rate 4.5 or higher with 9 rating 4.6. The total # of episodes in this time frame is 96. So 21% of all the episodes after (1 out of 5) were in the same league as Jimmy/Diesal. I have the dates, models and ratings if you care for me to follow up. At three episodes per week (32 weeks) one with this rating happens a little more that once every other week.

Now, just to be fair in this analysis, I went back in time 96 episodes before the Jimmy/Diesal airing. This takes us all the way back August 9, 2008. In this time span there were 22 episodes 4.5 or higher rated with 8 making 4.6.
So 23% of these episodes were in the Jimmy/Diesal league a slight increase of 2%, but with a decrease in the 4.6 rating.

From a statistical point of view Broke Straight Boys's episodes have not changed over the last year and a half. They seem to be consistent in their product. From David's point of view this could be both good and bad news for him. The good is that it is not going in the wrong direction. On the other hand it could be disappointing that it has not moved higher. It will be interesting to see what HD to the ratings.

I will state upfront that statistics don't always tell the story, but they do give a snapshot of what is happening.

Yes I find some of the episodes boring (especially the solos), but I take it in stride and await the next gem. To me, there are more important things in life besides getting upset over an episode or two that don't tickle my fancy. the overall product exceeds my expectations.

So lets just sit back and enjoy the show.

Thank you Vicekid, for taking the time to do your statistical analysis. I appreciate the time that you take, as does Denny for his chart of which models appear in which episodes by date. It is cool to have dedicated members who take time out of their lives to bring us these stats.

However, I do not pay as much attention to the "ratings" for the episodes, as David has told us that only a fraction of the total membership of Broke Straight Boys takes part in the forum. And when I asked what percentage of the total membership actually vote on the episodes, he told us that he did not have that answer.

My belief is that the "silent majority" of the membership of the site, merely watch the episodes to enjoy and "get off" to, and most don't bother to vote. So the true "ratings" are the members who renew their subscriptions each month, and that is information that we are not privy to, (nor should we, as this is a business, and most businesses do not discuss their financial success with the public).

But I do appreciate your analysis anyway, as it is interesting, if not truly indicative of the popularity of the scenes or the site.

In reference to the clip rating I personally believe they do indeed offer a reasonably accurate view point of the viewing public. This is pure speculation but I say this because it not intrusive to the viewer as they can remain anonymous and express their opinion with one simple mouse click. That and considering the placing on the page and how the rating reflects what videos show as viewers choice I would at least think that most people would take the time to click.

What we don't know is how large a viewing audience there actually is but I offer that those of us that take the time to write our personal comments on the videos here in the forum is an extremely small representation of the whole. Of course there are a lot more viewing members then ever log into the forum but just for fun lets look at some numbers. I would guess that there are less then one hundred of us that are on here daily flapping our jaws. That is just a guess but what the system says is there are currently 2674 members of which 540 are considered active. As I write this at 3:47 AM central time there are 65 members and 190 guests logged into the system and the most ever at one time was 934. Anytime you look at that you will find the guests far out number the members.

So regardless of how many actually bother to click the voting section by sheer odds it has to be more then our little minority so is therefore a far more accurate viewpoint then the few comments we can offer up. What this all means besides very little is we are nothing but small apples hanging on a very large tree. Managements only hope in listening to our requests is the belief that we represent a legitimate cross section of the silent majority. I guess that means we should try our best to represent our constituents.
