Low Ratings For DK but Yet He Does So much...I Don't Understand...

Indeed Betu. In one of the latest BTS vids Kaden Alexander said that he is not normally attracted to black girls. I don't judge or condemn him for that. It's a matter of sexual attraction.

I'm sorry to say I downgraded Damien Kyle's rating because of what was said in the BSB TV sales pitch trailers. I didn't like that at all, even if it as scripted.

This also answers another question I posed on the "Hanging out with the boys" thread; how people can be influenced by what they "hear, see or read" about a model or potential model. So, I guess it can be relative subject matter!

(...) Now, after that trailer was released (by Damien Kyle) there were many reactions based on that "particular comment" and in my honest opinion, I thought his statement was made clearer by the many responses. It was not a racial remark at all! Simply a matter of "preference or attraction" to...which is no different than anyone of us who say.....is only attracted to men with dark hair?

I think that what I don't get is the need to emphatically state whom you're not attracted to: "no fems" "no fats" "no rice" and other such prejudiced/racist nonsense that you can read on hook-up apps. Why not simply say what you prefer?

And I cannot begin to understand why Damien Kyle said that line (unless it was scripted that way) with a black dude (who might be a Broke Straight Boys employee) sitting next to him: on top of potentially being perceived as bigoted, it is insensitive as hell.

Damien Kyle is a hell of a performer and gave Broke Straight Boys's social media presence a much needed jump start but that line, man...

As I'm not black, I cannot comment on that, even if it gave me pause when I heard it. If there were more black activists on the forum, we wouldn't hear the end of it (self-hate, internalized racism, ...).

my first friend was a blond with blue eyes. my first sex with a guy was with a black guy. my first sex with a girl was with a blond girl. my first secret boyfriend was a blond. my best male friend is a blond. my boyfriend is a blond. it is not that I find members other groups unattractive. there was this one black guy. many blatinos. some dark haired guys.
I am not sexual attracted to anyone who does not meet my standards for attractiveness.
my restrictive taste in sex partners does not impact my belief in an inclusive society.
self-hate comes from seeing black men acting badly. internalized racism comes from media presentation showing beauty and truth as western european traits.
Damien Kyle was stating his taste.

Not wanting to start a flame war but only desiring "blond people" doesn't seem to conform to Western European beauty representation to you? ;)

Your 10 things states that you have a mixed black and Nordic heritage so that's not entirely the case. But I just find it extremely weird when a black guy says "I don't even like black girls" like Kaden Alexander does in the 'zombie outbreak at the Hilton' video.

Just like I find extremely off-putting people that just won't date outside of their skin color, like they have some deep-seated fear of the 'Other'.

I don't understand why you find it "off-putting" for folks to have a specific preference in their sexual partners. To me it is an innate feeling of who and what turns me on, not even exactly a preference, but more of a feeling inside me telling me if someone sexually arouses me or not. For example, I only desire males, but I don't think I'm prejudiced against females. They just don't excite me sexually. To me, there is a big difference between being attracted to only certain types of human being, and being bigoted.

flame war!? that was a new phrase for me. I longed to have the blond advantage my father enjoyed. all the blond people in my life share their advantages and I share my talents. until now I was secret father-fucker.

redheads are underrepresented in my life, maybe a toll headed black guy. personal taste is not easy to express or understand.

People are free to make their own choices, whether it be their sexuality, their choice of partners, their religion, the food they like etc etc. They are also free - in some places, to express their opinion without fear of prejudice and I would like to think that this forum is one of those places. The world has gotten far too politically correct; we just need to kick ass a lot more, instead of sucking it.

I'm half American Indian and half Mexican, but I wouldn't date either one!! I like and am sexually attracted to white dudes. That doesn't make me ashamed or prejudice of my heritages. I feel Damien Kyle and Kaden Alexander said nothing wrong with their personnal tastes.

I kinda figured as much but did not want to get too Freudian on you. :001_smile:

Maybe I was lucky to grow up in a very diverse environment with Asian, African, Northern and Southern European friends so I did not fixate on one particular group. But for someone who prefers blonds, you seem very open. That's super cool!

People are free to make their own choices, whether it be their sexuality, their choice of partners, their religion, the food they like etc etc.(...)

As I've said before, I have no problem with people having choices. My number one fetish are dimples: it's my preference. But I have never said no to someone because they didn't have them.

Excluding people over something they have no control over like their ethnicity doesn't sound like a choice. Just exclusion.

MikeYank's example doesn't seem very fair to me: I think that sexual preference for one gender over another are mostly dictated by genetics (with upbringing and environment surely coming into play also at some point).

I don't think that genes that would dictate you to exclude whole ethnic groups from your potential partners don't exist, i.e. it's completely cultural and should be much more susceptible to change.

Personally I don't get why anyone sticks to 1 type, it's like going to Baskin Robbins and ordering a double vanilla cone but if I'm not the one eating the cone it's none of my business what they order. I like tasting all the varieties. I'm too busy trying to choose my next flavor of the day to worry about what the next guy is going to order. It's like people who don't like chocolate, how can you not like chocolate? There's people who don't, so what, it has no bearing on what I like. Live and let live or fuck and let fuck. Obladi Oblada

Honestly Pascal, for me my attraction to certain people based on looks, age, and ethnicity is not any more of a conscious choice than my attraction to gender. It's just the way I am wired, and not based on any negative feelings I have toward anyone.

I've used this example before, but my college roommate was a very attractive in shape Chinese guy, but I was never attracted to Asians and seeing him get naked in our room was not a turn-on for me. We are still friends today and I love him like a brother, but he never turned me on. For me sexual attraction is an almost instinctual thing.

All in all, PascalBrutal, I do think I understand your position. I may see it slightly differently and, I am a black man, but...I get what your saying about the need to state by race, one's preference. Personally, I guess for me, it depends on the person who says it, how they are saying it because, you certainly have a point about how it can show one's prejudices. I just don't believe in my heart, that was Damien's intention. The more he was questioned, the more defensive he got and it may not have come across as nicely in that clip (perhaps?) But, we also didn't get to hear the entire conversation. I appreciate your standing up for what you feel and believe! Nothing wrong with that! You are probably a very kind hearted person anyway! Bless you for that:001_cool:

I have to say that I agree completely with your statement Jon......and I find nothing racist about stating who your not attracted to ....
It maybe cultural, so what....he didn't say I hate, or Can't stand, or don't want to be around, he simply implied what he's not attracted to...period...where I'm from we have a statement...." sounds like someone is trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill ".....I think this is one of those times....

I like this statement!

Hopefully, (at least on this forum) we can come to a place where by we can express freely, our individual sexual attractions for certain people, irrespective of their "ethnicity" ( even as "The world has gotten far too politically correct;" )while reserving our rights to be attracted to people who....we find attractive or not.....period based on our sexual preference in general?

I completely agree!!! Obviously we all have a right to be attracted to whomever we desire, and should be allowed to freely express it as well. Hell, most of the forum went totally gaga over Johnny Forza, while his body did nothing for me. It is okay not to be attracted to all types, as our differences and different tastes are what make people unique and interesting.

I prefer blonds. all others can line up in any order they choose. for me, preferring a subset of the population comes from life experiences and how I integrated those experiences with a sense of who I am. I never stopped to wonder how much fun the others might be, because I was loving the one I was with.
my voice, mind and lips helped me advance to levels reached by one hair color. teachers move to the blond boy, then to the one who speaks up.
enlightened self-interest this blond thing. you can't go wrong a blond. they mention that they could do a lot with what I have and I hold them to their word. once you go 'alf black, you go back, if you can work it out.
in my public life I believe personal knowledge and binders full of women should identify qualified women. black women get a close look. momma was a woman and black. I want to see momma in the boardroom and daddy in my bedroom. both are fantasies.
back to the bar! don't judge a model by one or two clip.
the blond is the one who loses the car key. kissing and/or more is a great way to pass the time. tows take so long.
