LGBT/Obama Free Bumpersticker

Just thought I'd pass this along if anyone is interested...

You can go to LGBT.BarackObama.com and get a free bumpersticker which (obviously) says "LGBT Americans for Obama" (or it might be LGBT Citizens ..., I can't remember) with our Pride colors as a background. While you will be asked for a contribution you do NOT have to do so to get the FREE bumpersticker.

I support gay causes, but Obama is nothing but a liar and incompetent who will say whatever he thinks will get him votes ... these past four years have been nothing but a string of broken promises and financial devastation caused by his incompetence and spendthrift agenda. In Holland we only get to vote for parties. There's a socialist party, labor, green, Christian, liberal, conservative. Ten parties in Parliament and they need to form a majority coalition. Those in power always get the blame...

In this thread, you have now twice insulted the President of the United States, by first calling him a "piece of garbage", and then a "lying and incompetent piece of trash Obama".

I understand that we all have our own opinions, but I believe one should show some respect for the office of the President, and also show some respect to our fellow forumites who may be offended by the vicious tone of your post.

When a post is removed?

The first post after mine starting off this thread was from Broke Straight Boys webmonkey who thanked me for the info and indicated that living in Puerto Rico he can't vote for President. That post is gone now.

I'm assuming he removed it. But isn't there a forum protocol that provides for a notation when a post is removed? It seems I've seen that on some threads. If not, there should be. Because a person reading this thread is not getting an accurate picture of it, because a comment was removed and there is no indication that webmonkey was ever here.

And if that's the case, then we should all have the power to remove our own posts.

Come on guys play the game. If this was the only thread that was off topic then fair enough but it isnt. Virtually every thread gets off topic at one point or another. I think Chuck intervened because Mike got rather annoyed at Len63.

It's a pity that Chuck doesn't apply the same rules with the KRU threads. It seems that it is wrong to bad mouth the president of the united states but it is ok to write the following:

"Now tomorrow let us hope that Scottish gayboy Andy Murray beats Roger Federer. Now will Tiger Woods fly over like he did a few years ago to be with Roger at the Wimbledon final - yeppers - Roger is the real reason Tiger's wife broke the golfclub over his head. I sure do recall that WebMonkey had said that earlier, and you are correct Stowe that it is no longer there. I absolutely agree that if a post is removed by the author or by the moderator, (in this case the same person), we should have a notation that the post was removed.

I agree with Jon on this. When I saw that Chuck, (another moderator) was commenting, I thought that he would admonish Len for talking about the president in a derogatory way, and was quite surprised that his only criticism was that it was "off topic".

I've been on this forum since Day 1, and one of the charming aspects of the forum is the meandering road that threads often take, often going off topic two or three times before either dying a natural death, or having someone post and bring it back on course.

I've stated several times recently, how I love this open and free forum so much, and I certainly am not in favor of either of these two moderators, pulling particular posts without making note of it, and certainly not censoring us for being "off topic".

By the way. I got my bumper sticker. I clicked on that link from Facebook about 2 months ago and I just got my sticker on Friday.
