I feel sorry for David having to constantly being put on the defensive. I am sure that if each member was given a $500 check to be more agreeable on the Forum, we could never reach any agreement because everyone has their opinion on everything and some are not willing to treat everyone else's opinions with minimal respect. We live in a "cynical" time. Cynicism in effect is the absence of "hope" for the future. I don't know about you, but I want the world to be a hopeful place. A place with kindness, tolerance for differences, and civility. Surely, among like minded Broke Straight Boys members, we can put aside our pettiness over something that is essentially designed for our own "personal entertainment and enjoyment"

I know everyone has a plethora of hopeless situations they are dealing with at any given moment. Lets not share our misery too by making sure no one has any joy in life remaining.

Speculation should not be confused for the truth. Likewise the degrees of truth vary according to whether we are talking "entertainment" truth; or "courtroom" truth; or "judgment day" truth.

You know, cumrag, I guess that's what I was trying to say. I just wish we could keep this site in perspective and remember what it is. We are a television oriented society and we get so personal with out tastes. We watch soap operas and serials and "reality" TV and get involved with the characters and story lines. We live and hope and speculate with each episode. Do we ever question if reality TV is really reality? Do we think that in real life we can take a beautiful woman who is single, put her in a mansion with 12 men, let her date them and have them woo her and bed her and that in 13 weeks she is going to fall in love forever with her soul mate and they will ride off together in a carriage in a quest for the picket fence and 2.3 kids? Is that reality?

If this site were 100% reality, it would be too close to our own lives, boring as hell, riddled with drama, and would be bankrupt in 2 months. Is that what we really want? Oh boy, I may be stepping in it here because I'm new here and all but I think this whole thing was turning a molehill into a mountain. I looked through the thread and only a couple of people, mildly, stated they thought the ATV story was bullshit. But no one said that it ruined the scene for them or that JJ, Mike, Or David would rot in hell for lying. If David wanted to come on here and clear up that the accident really did ahppen, that's cool. But there was no need to rush to anyone's defense and IMO he took it a step too far mocking people for having the gall to question whether certain aspects of the site are real or fake. I know that there are people on here who nitpick things to death and don't believe anything on here is real, but that's not what was going on in this thread. I think it's perfectly fine for people to question whether certain things are made up or not because, yes, there are things on this site that aren't 100% real. Or, for one example, am I supposed to believe that in that BTS vid with Scott and Leon they did sleep together all night and the crew set everything up with them being none the wiser. I'm sorry my suspension of belief doesn't stretch that big. I called bullshit on the whole set-up but it didn't stop me from thinking the scene was MAJORLY hot. I do appreciate what David does. I think this site is excellent otherwise I wouldn't pay money I probably shouldn't be spending on this site. Opinions are fine and I can deal with some of the remarks (if in good taste) and stated in a positive way....I come to the conclusion that I'm not going to satisfy everyone of our members. I've stopped trying to satisfy all our members and I'm going back to basics and filming the way Broke Straight Boys was meant to be. Overall, it was much better when I took matters into my own hands. I realize that many of the scenes a few of our members may think the storyline is fake.

I do my best to stay true to the models experience to why they are here sitting on the futon. I too want to find out what brings them to our studio and want to film porn and why would a guy call himself straight do gay porn? These answers I can't tell you. This is a personal issue that each model comes here for there own personal reasons. As I stated before Broke Straight Boys is truly a very unique site and can't be compared to other sites. Other sites I film are all fantasy sites and we don't care if the models are gay or whatever...its a fantasy! With Broke Straight Boys I try my best to keep each story real and why each model is here. I too like taking a model that is new and fresh and within 3-8 updates of that model, he comes in terms with his sexuality. My remark regarding this particular storyline with Josh and MikeR wasn't to get a thread were we are all calling names at each other, I just wanted to point out and tell you guys that it was a real story. In my 2nd post, I explained myself a bit further with Josh being hurt. Look how I see it, here is a model hopping on one foot and using a crutch. I felt it necessary to explain to the our members why he's hopping on one foot and using a crutch, its not like all our models are on crutches and hopping on one foot. If I didn't explain it, you guys would want to know...and Josh's reason for coming here was because MikeR told him he can make some quick money and he didn't have a job...but since I found out that he wrecked his ATV, it made for a better story then the same ole storyline that a model is broke. Since a few members brought up the fact the storyline sounded lame and fake, I new this would happen because it did sound too good to be true. About 90% of the stories you hear are real from the models. You can believe me or not to believe me. About 75% of the models on this site have never been with another guy and being on this site is the first time they have done anything with another guy, you can believe me or not believe me. I do my best to disclose who is gay, straight, gay for pay, bisexual..or whatever so this site doesn't seem to be fake and I guess that is why we are so unique compared to other sites.

I've been told the site is stale and boring...what can I tell you about this site. Guys who are straight or claim to be straight are not going to give us passion. Our studio is not the type of studio that places hardcore demands on our models. We do our best to respect each model and there needs. Yes! there are things they have to do and if they are not going to do it, we can't hire them or keep bringing them back...however, we don't treat our models like whores, escorts or hustlers....our models have jobs (but struggle) go to college full or part time (and struggling with bills) and we treat them with respect. We don't want the models to feel uncomfortable...there is a scene coming up that we really pushed this model to the limits and he cried on screen, I filmed the whole thing. I know when that scene goes up, I will be bashed for treating this model in this particular way I did on screen...but this guy was straight...he was very desprite for money and I pushed him to his limits and he freaked out. I filmed it and you will see what happens to a model when he's is pushed doing something he doesn't feel comfortable doing. Will this model be back..nope! Its not for him...but this will give you a good idea to what happens to those models we push...its not pretty.

Our studio is one of the better studios out there, we have murals, we have ethics and we don't treat models like meat and give them phoney storylines and demand to do what we say and want them to do. Perhaps D&E is one of the oddity studios out there that films in a clean responsible manner and treat our models with respect and due to the nature of Broke Straight Boys, we retain there true reasons for being on the futon. We don't fake the scenes, we don't script them, half the time I have no idea what the hell I'm saying and this obviously shows throughout the site and all the different episodes. At times its funny, at times I just get to the point and the models have sex. At times I'm a bit long winded like this post...LOL. At times I keep it short and to the point. When I film and speak to the models myself and the models have no idea what we are going to speak about so what you see is what we film. If this is wrong for us to do, then bash us, beat us up, call me names, challenge our integrity...for those that have had the opportunity to met Eddie and I or speak to us or met anyone from our organization, you know what I'm talking about

Over the last couple days he has been attacked for no really good reason in my eyes. I understand that some like to stir things up a bit because it's entertaining to them.

What incentive does David have to come in here and chat with us once in a while when he knows that any misplaced word can be twisted into another attack on him? Do we all agree that we would like him to feel comfortable to come in here and give us an occasional background tidbit on a scene or a particular model? Maybe some info that would give us an added insight or appreciation for a model or a scene? What incentive does the man have to come in here and hang out with us once in a while? When he sees that any random comment can be used for another attack on him. He must ask himself some days why he even bothers. Chasing David off is a loss for everyone. I'm not saying that we should all kiss his arse and agree with everything he says. But my goodness, I don't like what I'm seeing.

Great point you have made Tampa! Your not kissing ass. In our organization, we like to hear the opinions and comments from our members. Does it mean we are going to change anything or do anything about it...no. But we do like to hear the feedback. Some feedback we can change and some we can't but we like to hear from all of you guys.

However, your point is well taken by the fact that if I have to continue coming hear on this forum to defend everything I say and do and my integrity and be challenged all the time...I, at times, get turned off by coming here. Mike, Sa7180 (are you related to C3P0?) both you guys have fully expressed my feelings entirely. I have stated before how much I like this site and the forum is just so special. It’s a place where some of us who experience loneliness at times, can go to find friends that share a common interest.

I didn't mean to single you out in a negative way. But you posted something that I disagreed with so I made a comment. If I didn't respect your opinion I wouldn't have bothered at all. I don't know, maybe I'm just thick or something(ok, no maybe about) but I don't get that David was attacked in this thread at all. I don't read every thread in this forum, only the ones that interest me, so if David was attacked in another thread that sucks. But when it comes to THIS PARTICULAR thread, I didn't see him being attacked. The word twat wasn't leveled at him. And I don't consider a couple of forumites questioning the legitimacy of a story, an attack. Nobody likes being called a liar, but like I said before this site isn't 100% reality (which is fine) and I don't see anything wrong with commenting on what we think is true or not. And I stand by my statement that in David's first post his mocking those that questioned the validity of the story was a tad too much. I'll trust David that most of what we see is true. I'm pretty trusting. Sometimes too trusting. So if I have questons about the validity of something or disagree, I'm still going to speak my mind, but just as respectfully as I can. I think that's what all us forumites owe to everyone. I still think these forums are a great place to hang out, once you can wade through the very random moments of controversy.

That was the only point I wanted to get across to those members that think the storyline was lame and perhaps a bit more explaining at my end. At no means I felt attacked...I would have PM'd that person directly and gave him a piece of my mind...LOL.

Its just over the history of this forum...it seems that I and many on this forum, especially the ones that met me and have talked to me over the weeks and months, get to know me and they understand were I'm coming from they get a bit sensitive and they are here to defend me (which I thank you for doing) and perhaps they understand and see that most of the time on the forum I'm always being challenged about the integrity of the models being straight or gay, if the stories or true or not, why aren't the models more passionate. Those member that have been here a while, over time & see the big picture and "get it". While others come to this site and really don't understand the Broke Straight Boys concept. I think some come here expecting some bullshit fake site and everything is pretend and faked like other sites and then Broke Straight Boys boggles there mind and they start questioning the site and the models. Some come here and are very polite and cool about asking questions, while others become down right rude and nasty. When in fact, I do my best to keep it real. Many that have met me and the models at events or our staff and met me or spoke to me on a person level, seem to understand what we go through and once someone starts voicing there opinion in a negative way, that is when all hell breaks loose.

I think overall, this thread has held it purpose and for the most part, everyone has been civil...with some jokes along with way and some great points have been pointed out and everyone acted normal to this thread. Overall, I think everyone enjoyed Josh & MikeR's first scene together and some really hot action will be starting soon between these two and other models...Josh is a real cutie and I can't wait for you guys & gals to see more of him in action.
