Tampa, I'm sure that you realized when you made your post that I would feel the need to add my two cents in.

While I recently did say that Jimmy was over-used on this site, in a much too frequent rotation, I still enjoyed his work here, and think that he is a very friendly, cool guy.

I do have a different memory of Jimmy's comments on the forum, regarding the subjects you mentioned. First I don't remember his saying "he couldn't wait to move on to doing straight porn when he left here." In fact, I can't recall his ever telling us that he was leaving here. What I do recall his saying is that he is straight and not gay, and does not enjoy having sex with a dude.

He also said that he would never bottom here unless they paid him a ridiculous amount of money. He also said that he would get fucked if it was a girl with a strap on, (although I do believe that it was said facetiously), or that he would bottom for a guy if he owned the site and took in the profits from such a scene. But I can't recall as you said, "Jimmy talked about how he couldn't wait to move on to doing straight porn when he left here."

As your view of Jimmy Johnson continues it appears to be eternally unreconcilable(and that places me on the same side with Tampa), all I can say is in my opinion Jimmy Johnson remains a "Perfectly unsolvable Enigma" as his being a model for Gay Porn. He presents this dichotomy that does not bode-well for a family man with a kid nor does it become more favorable in his gay-for-pay mode because he holds back his emotions so much that you would thing the object of the sex act he works with has got to be in another room, on a phone-sex line, or even another planet. While Mikeyank and others that favor JJ doesn't interpret his demeaning comments made during the shooting of his episodes as offensive, only something to be expected and ignored, I cannot help saying to myself how soon can I get away from all his under-the-breath hostility.

I feel that while filming episodes requiring at least his dick and/or any reasonable display of affection, Jimmy has always reverted back into his Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde mode, which completely cuts out all of his human side along with his easy going laid-back fun-loving humor side. It is as if he were under attack by the Taliban and he thinks all that he comes into contact with are mortal enemies or at least "infidels"! This may not be the technical definition of "homophobic", but it is nonetheless equally hard to watch. The fact is that Jimmy does appear to be like the proverbial "fish-out-of-water" in his Gay4Pay scenes but, even worse, he insists to making his audience suffer because he choses to operate in a line of work that doesn't fit him in any way other than his pocketbook. For viewers like myself and probably Tampa, Jimmy completely removes the air out of the room with his unwillingness to do as expected in the Gay4pay business. Thereby, his scenes are uninviting, inhospitable, and maddening to watch because he refuses to do his job and this is further enhanced by his general lack of concern for the feelings or enjoyment of his partner. In all other employment situations, that is known as "copping an negative attitude" towards performing according to his job description and he also fails to carry his own load in the scene, thereby transferring what he refuses to do to other cast members who must overcompensate for his unwillingness.

To tell Jimmy this or even to tell his loyal fan base simply ricochets the inpenetrable tempered glass shield surrounding all that is "Jimmy", and to no avail. Therefore, I feel enigma best describes the Jimmy phenomenon and simply cannot be fully understood by outsiders, just in the same way that "Jimmy" cannot see his short-comings in relating appropriately to his Gay4pay partners. It seems that this is all that can forever be expected from Jimmy or, for that matters, his adoring and smitten fans! So Tampa, all I can say in this unending quest to make some sense out of all of this would be...

Exactly my feelings, Tangogent! I have a friend who is not a member of this site, who discovered Jimmy through the various "porn tube" type sites and has become a huge fan of Jimmy Johnson. He sent me this clip last night.
