When voting (as in a political election), I never vote *for* anyone. I almost always vote *against* the person I disagree with. But when it comes to polls, I typically only vote if I love a scene, or hate it. But there are other times I can't decide if I like a scene or not, so I won't vote on it for awhile...or sometimes not at all. But typically, if a scene is middle-of-the-road, I will give it a "3".
But there have been times where I was particularly frustrated or annoyed about a scene that would have otherwise been mediocre, and would have gotten either a "no vote", or a "3". An example, the three-way with
Logan, that Southern dude (forget his name) and the blond bi guy (forget his name too). Where all they ended up doing was jacking themselves off, and nothing else. So I went into the scene thinking it would be a threeway based on the "upcoming episodes" picture of all three of them, then when the scene turned out to be nothing but 3 guys jacking off while sitting next to each other,
I was so annoyed and mad that not only did I give the scene a "1", but I also un-subscribed in protest!
Of course I was back a week later <grin>.
Another thing that I tend to do, which I probably shouldn't actually, but I will give a scene a higher vote if any of my favorite guys are in it. Normally, any scene with
Diesal, Ty,
Logan, Mike (not
Mike Robbins, I usually give him lower votes because of his refusal to kiss), Derek (the quiet, shy, sweet guy with the glasses and the HUGE cock), Danny, always get very high ratings with me even if the scene itself wasn't all that hot in my opinion (unless of course the scene ends in side-by-side jacking off,
which ALWAYS lowers the rating in my scoring by at least one number).
Which is one thing that tends to get me angry and which will have me rate a scene with a 1 or a 2 every time is ANY scene that ends with the guys side-by-side jacking off. It could be the hottest fucking and cock sucking of all time, but if they end the scene by sitting next to each other jacking themselves off, I automatically give it a lower score than I otherwise would have. BUT, if there was kissing and other things to make it hotter, I might actually bump my score up to a 3 if I would have otherwise only given it a 2.
I've been known to give a scene a lower score because of things that are completely unrelated to the models or their chemistry together, such as bad lighting, sloppy camera work, poor editing etc. ANY time the guys stand up from the futon to remove their underwear, and David takes it upon himself to suddenly pan the camera on to a close-up of their face, or pan up and away from their crotch area thereby cutting off our view of the guys from the waist down, I get very annoyed and frustrated with that and automatically give the scene a lower score, because of maddening and frustrating camera-work.
So like probably everyone who does vote, I have a really weird and probably downright strange process that I follow when it comes to rating the scenes.
I also tend to vote with my membership too. I recently cancelled my membership to
www.hazehim.com because their camera and editing work is always SO SLOPPY. They have scenes on that site where the guys who are supposed to be hard but not on purpose, you can see the guys off to the side playing with themselves trying to get their dick hard. But yet they're supposed to be straight frat guys who are getting hazed and forced to be naked unwillingly. So it COMPLETELY ruins it when the camera pans over to them standing there trying to get their dick hard, and they don't even bother to edit that out.
COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! So because that site doesn't have any polling where you can vote, instead I sent them a 5 paragraph email with suggestions for improvement, and cancelled my membership at the same time. (With that site though, it's a combination of many things...from not offering downloadable content, the streaming video is always choppy, the scenes are always grainy and lit very poorly, and the piss poor camera work and editing are just the icing that tops the cake on that site. I don't recommend that site to anyone, it's very low quality and usually very unbelievable because of the above-mentioned reasons, among a few others that I haven't even mentioned).
