Miss D. As a new member to the forums, I want to wish you the best of luck on your upcoming surgery. I, too, am considering the procedure, but unlike you, I have never been happy with the way I look. However, I have Type 2 Diabetes, symptoms of Parkinson's, and heart disease, so I am hoping the surgery will improve my health. Like Juanjo, I'm 30 years too late to improve my looks, but not too late to improve my self-esteem. Please know that you have my complete support and that I will keep you in my prayers.

I heard from Deidra earlier this evening and, aside from some pain and lots of sleepiness, she's doing great. Keep thinking good thoughts! And hope for lots of good meds to keep her pain free while she gets through the first 24 hours! If all goes well, she'll be home tomorrow evening!

I am home. In tons of pain. Who knew ?!?! Vicodin is my friend right now. No regrets though. Thanks for all the nice posts. I think it really does help having all of you thinking good things. I appriciate it from the bottom of my heart.

So now the journey continues. I lost 24 lbs on the presurgery diet. This next week I am on an all protein liquid diet, then the following 3 weeks I get to eat soft foods and pureed foods. So I will get my first band adjustment right before I head to New Orleans with LoveLumps and JWGlass.

Sounds like it went routinely without any major complications. I'm so happy for you. I do know a thing or two about pain. So don't be afraid to use the meds to deal with it. They don't give out medals for how much pain you can suffer in silence.
