Re post # 4564: This sports interview pic caused me to recall the first scene of a classic gay porn movie entitled "Tough Competition", where a young Olympic swimmer played by Kyle Carrington gave a locker room interview to a sports reporter played by Doug Jeffries as I recall. But, besides that recollection, the larger point which I would like to make is that many of the photos posted on this thread are of real life mostly straight young athletes pictured in sensual situations with the possibility of evolving into male on male sex. Granted, in the overwhelming majority of these pics, such does not go in that direction (with the "totally straight" jocks sublimating their same sex attraction to butt patting, hugging and in the case of college wrestling a lot more socially sanctioned by the sport crotch grabbing, ass dry humping and forcing your opponent's face into your crotch. And they may even believe themselves when they insist that they are totally straight with no same sex attraction (although their hard cocks walking off the mat somewhat belie that). That is why I consider the best gay porn scenes as pairing normal looking attractive young men starting in normal real life sensual situations such as the pics on this thread and then acting out the possibility of something sensual evolving into something sexual. Interesting how a pic like this one triggers this line of thought. Hope that this is not too philosophically heavy for a Sunday afternoon.
 
You bring up a point KG that I wanted to put out there fairly early. In the sense that I'm talking about pics coming up further on in the rotation. I totally agree with you that for me also I prefer the pics that do not look staged or like stills from a gay porn shoot. Also up to the recently I've tried to avoid pics that featured excessive actual nudity. Not because I don't like it. I do. haha But I just find the understated eroticism of real life straight and bi-ish athletes in their natural habitat to be very striking in its own unique way. I've felt that if I flooded the thread with just hot professional gay porn models (with minimal sports props) waving dicks everywhere, that it would take away from that straight (or at least straight-ish) homoeroticism that's always been subliminally just below the surface of so many male sports.

In keeping with the mission statement of the whole Broke Straight Boys site, I've done my best so that this thread doesn't have a feel like it's competing to be just regular gay porn images of gay models.

In trying to find new sources of pics I've been led to more choices that feature nudity. Many sites that offer the pics are very sexually charged overall. While it's not my first choice for all the reasons I stated above, I have been choosing to select more nudes and semi-nudes coming up down the line. Not completely though! haha Even then I have tried to select only the nudes or semi's that seem to genuinely be the most amateur and non-scripted. I've chosen a very tiny selection here and there that may look somewhat more scripted, but look especially hot, and would also give the beholder some plausible deniability as to how staged or unstaged they were. haha

As sources for new content seem to be fewer and farther between (if not drying up altogether) I've had to adjust accordingly. Also, even Covid has had a role to play in fewer new pics being added to sources I've been using up until now. We all know what's happened to amateur, pro and college team sports this past year. So there have been hardly any new pics being added to my previous sources for pretty much all of 2019. And it will probably stay that way until summer or even early fall.

Bottom line though, I hope you guys still enjoy and appreciate the varied selection. :)

And you are doing a great much appreciated job, particularly in the COVID 19 shutdown of many college sports including the absolute best source for sensual homoerotic pics, college wrestling (understandably so as the intimate body to body contact of the sport is the antithesis of social distancing). I realize that some members view your posts and my comments thereon to be juvenile banter, which to some extent it is, but my preceding post tried to point out that there is a more serious point to be made, i.e. how, in a society where heterosexuality is strongly encouraged and favored and homosexuality is even more strongly discouraged and disfavored, how do young athletes in their years of finalizing their sexual orientation, sort things out? In ancient Greece where hetero and homo sexualities were equally accepted, it was easy, whether you were straight, gay or bi, you just did it with no concern of public disapproval. But in our present society, for all the gains we have made in the first two decades of this century, the pro hetero anti homo preference of society remains clear, which is why Freud's concept strongly applies of an officially totally straight young jock denying any same sex attraction sublimating his same sex attraction into socially approved channels such as butt patting, hugging and in the case of college wrestling crotch grabbing, ass dry humping and pushing your opponent's face into your crotch, while denying any same sex attraction. In some but too many unfortunate instances young jocks are so conflicted by this denial of same sex attraction become gay bashers, as a truly totally straight jock has no reason to hate gays, but a sexually conflicted jock often can and does. You make some interesting points KG. I am amazed how still today with somewhere between 10%-25% of the population being gay or bi, that we have so few professional athletes who have come out during their playing days. Wheres in other fields of public performers including actors, singers, authors and today politicians as well, we are beginning to have a representative proportion coming out but in the major professional sports in the U.S.A., (football, baseball, basketball and hockey), I am not aware of any current male players who are openly gay. Women are more open particularly in the WNBA and other sports. But male professional sports are lagging way behind in gay liberation. But I'm sure in time that will change too.

As for your other points I totally agree. Yes. Some of my pics are chosen to be deliberately funny and unserious. Others more thought provoking in one way or another. But I am just trying to entertain. :)
