We've been speaking a lot about milestone numbers on the site lately. As to how it regards numbers of total posts on the forum... Record numbers of pages of threads in site history... And so on.
Obviously by the numbers, Br's "How Best To Start Your Day?" picture thread is the largest in site history.
When I started posting pics here on this thread in great numbers as an almost a daily hobby, I had no system in place for trying to keep track of the numbers of pictures I shared as I went along. About a year or two in, I figured out an imprecise but workable system to begin tracking them from that point on.
Just FYI, based on my later system and guesstimating backwards... I'm figuring that I've posted somewhere between 8,300- 8,700 pictures. Give or take. haha
That's as of today's date of 7/14/22.
Fortunately the forum does have a system in place to track the number of attachements posted to each thread that are usually pictures. As of today there are 17,460 attachments (pics) added to this thread. So if you take away a little under 9,000 from me you still have almost another 9,000 from Br, Mikeyank, Mark and several other current and former posters from over the years. If he hasn't already, it's quite likely that Br's number of pics on this thread will exceed that of my own. And I have no ego entanglement there. I think it's great!I want to see more people sharing favorite pics with us.
But just wrapping your head around having about 17,500 pictures on one thread is rather mindblowing. haha
So thank you to Br and also of course to KG for all of his comments to go along with our pictures in here.
