One thing that came up in the interview was that some of the models have had trouble performing. And that's not just with Grey but apparently some other models who have come in much more confident and self assured that they could handle the stress. While I don't know for sure if this applies or not to their current filming schedule, I wonder if part of the added performance stress is due to having to do anal scenes right off the bat. In pre-Covid days when new models, or at least new models to this site showed up, they could be given time to ease in with solo scenes, some oral scenes, etc. Asking brand new models (or even experienced models from other sites) to show up to the Broke Straight Boys site that's brand new to them...and then being thrown off the deep end immediately into anal scenes only... That's much more expectation, stress and performance anxiety than has usually been put on new Broke Straight Boys models in the past.
I guess it shouldn't be surprising that some guys who might even have other prior porn experience might still have some erection issues or otherwise psych themselves out when put on a brand new set. As much as many of us might not be crazy about solo scenes or even sometimes oral or handjob only scenes...they can serve a very useful purpose other than just as "filler" to add more content. If the director can tell that a particular promising model is very nervous and skittish (and might bolt entirely from nerves) these softer core porn scenes can be a great way to ease a new such model into the Broke Straight Boys studio.
Of course I'm not saying that all members dislike solo, oral or handjob only scenes...or even scenes with some combination or variation of any of the non-anal type work. In the past I myself have really enjoyed some of Diesal's non-anal scenes as well as from those of a number of famous Broke Straight Boys models of the past. (Robert and Alden also come to mind.) Once the Covid vaccine can be offered to all adult age groups and filming in the adult industry (and Broke Straight Boys in particular) can start to get back to some semblance of pre-Covid normalcy, I think everyone's jobs from the site and stage staff to the models themselves will get much easier.

I for one think that you have been doing exceptionally well in your interviews of the models. For example, if you contrast the interviews of Ethan from 2019 which simply portrayed him as a smack talking New York City kid looking to make money to start a concert tee shirt business with all the information you drew out of Ethan, there is no comparison. You seemed to connect with Ethan, and then all kinds of new info came out of him such as Ethan being part Irish, German, Japanese and Mexican, Ethan growing up in Utah surrounded by Mormons of whom he had a positive opinion, being a totally straight model working with and befriending gay models, being totally straight while comfortable and flirting with gays, etc. I say keep up the fine work!

And I totally agree with you KG on David’s interviewing style. I do agree that David seems to make the guys comfortable drawing such interesting info out of them about them and their real lives off set. We can watch gay porn in a multitude of sites and platforms but the reality aspect of Broke Straight Boys is what has always separated it from other forms of porn going back to the days of Broke Straight Boys-1 and we seem to have come full circle now. And I like it.

I agree, and Grey's first scene has been announced for Friday April 2nd in which he plays a raver giving up his ass as a loyal fan to his punk rocker idol Rowan. I predict that role play will be more effective that the "Daddy" role play Rowan and Ethan attempted in their otherwise hot scene released this past Saturday. Also as a friend of Ethan's, I wonder if down the line they will be paired in a scene together? They both are two hot young men who would look great together!

I am looking forward to his scene. If I understood his comments in his discussion with David, his efforts here for Broke Straight Boys were his first studio scenes, as opposed to some previous Chaturbate work he had done. As he noted working from his room over a camera and internet connection is very different as he is in complete control of his environment. As for seeing him and Ethan, I agree that this would be a very interesting scene and one I would enjoy. That said, my experience has been that often guys who are friends outside of their work, are uncomfortable doing things together at work. Not everyone but some. Let's hope these two are free spirits.

I just watched the Before the Scene interview. Both Grey and Rowan are from Oregon, Grey apparently still is while Rowan apparently now lives in Florida. Grey is bi, but slept with over a hundred girls and not nearly as many guys. Grey's first time with a girl was when he was age 12 and first time with a guy when he was age 17. Grey is friends with Ethan Steele (who referred him to Broke Straight Boys), having met him at raves, but never had sex with him. David another great job of relaxing the models and getting lots of info as a result. Grey and Rowan ended the interview by french kissing which probably flowed into the start of tomorrow's scene as well. I'm looking forward to their scene as they both have hot bods and communality of interests as Grey is a raver, and Rowan plays in a punk rock band. That makes for potential for a very hot scene!
