"Yeah, I get that. I was going through a box of just random paperwork that I needed to shred the other day and ran across a few birthday and Christmas cards that my Mom had written a note in. I broke down in tears, I couldn't part with them. She hated to have her picture taken, and I have so few pictures of her, so the next best thing is her notes to me. She literally chased down my sister-in-law who snuck a picture of her and made her delete it LOL
Yes the one thing about getting older is the amount of funerals we have to attend. My 75 year old Dad jokingly says every time he looks in the obits in the papers "well it looks like I made it another day" LOL"
Scary I am 2 years older than he was with his passing. Sadly both my daughter-i- lows were in their early forties. The most honest man I ever knew was my father during WW II refused to make a profit on a product others made a killing, selling it for cost plus a few % more. He started working to support his widowed Mom at the age of 8 & dropped dead at 75 from a worn out body.
