Enough is Enough

I of course agree with Tampa and Grace. We are all fairly intelligent adults who understand the difference between fantasy and reality, and this is an outlet, a place where we can "play with" and "pretend flirt" with very handsome apparently very straight young men. We understand exactly what we are doing here.

This is the one part of your post that I'm not in agreement with you Tyler. You start out with factual information but then you go into some sweeping subjective judgments and generalizations of forum members. Just because we feel strong and genuine feelings of affection (or even protectiveness) for any particular model(s) doesn't mean that we are all deluded into thinking that we are besties with these guys in real life. I myself am not losing any sleep at night because Colin, Johnny or Blake aren't calling to wish me goodnight or ask me about my most recent doctor's appointment.

You're quite right that the models are here to be nice to the paying fans. The positive feedback that that generates helps boost their self-esteem and it also helps them to hopefully get more paying work into the future. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement. :) If some of us occasionally enjoy flirting with some of the models like some lovesick schoolgirl...where's the harm? It can be fun! :) All of us are entitled to a little bit of fantasy now and then. There may be a very few number in here who start to believe their own fantasies. However I believe the number is far fewer than your post would seem to indicate.

It's quite obvious to intelligent people that some of the models in here are really gay or bi. As you say Tyler, the models themselves are entertainers. We the members are here for the purposes of being entertained. Sometimes playing along with the fantasy that all these guys are straight as an arrow, irrespective of any evidence to the contrary...does not indicate naiveté or gullibility on our parts. It's merely a conscious choice to choose our own amusement and entertainment, over being "right" and possibly ruining the fantasy for others.

Thank you Tampa! I've been trying to compose a response to this part of Tyler's comment and you've just said everything I wanted to express, so I'm scrapping my half written comment and just saying, I agree.

I enjoy many aspects of the forum but one of my favorites is that if I wish I can act like a ga ga schoolgirl mooning over a model, without harming or interfering with another soul, something that I wouldn't dream of doing in my real, very normal life.

I couldn't have said it any better not for lack of trying!
Thank god, some people have a way with words!

If you don't like reading our conversations here about ANYTHING, just don't read them. I doubt that you have heard the last about barebacking.

Dear Rob,

You know, there is a lot of fairness in your statement above. Those favoring BB just want us to shut up and drop dead. They tell us that it is a reality, so just lump it, like a condom-free dick up our ass! Trudge on without a noticable whimper!

I don't think this is the only solution to this problem. Just as Corbin Fisher has different orientations you can subscribe to, why can't we at Broke Straight Boys have available a BB-Free portal and a BB-only portal where none of us currently subscribing are forced to lose out! It seems that way either side will either have enough supporters or it will die a natural death from lack of customers

When I see a BB scene, all I can say to myself is this is so wrong for me to support. I am not talking from a religious point of view. Obviously, there are very few churches I know of that would approve of either site on moral/religious grounds. BB to me represents a regression in the gay community and our evolution. It reinforces all of the negative stereotypes hypocrits and Religious Zealots use constantly against Gays gaining equal rights in the US and keeping us stuck as a permanent underclass. While I am too old to benefit directly from acceptance of Gay Marriage universally, it is my hope as a life long Gay man that someday there is a chance for other Gay couples maintaining a recognized loving relationship here in the US. Not all gays are into the bar scene or one-nighters.

Thanks for inspiring me to respond to your post! We need to be as enclusive as possible to band together for the benefit of all Gays and not just further narrowing the appeal of Broke Straight Boys to just a few exclusive tastes or fetishes. For those in non-committed relationships, BB is extreme high-risk behavior. I have no problems for those in a long-term, committed, monogamous relationships incorporatiing BB in their sexual repertoire.

Sincerely

Stimpy

Is it ironic or ridiculous that 2 new threads have been started about bareback sex even though they are complaining that there are too many threads about bareback sex? I would think if you really wanted the the controversy to stop the first step would be not to make a new thread about it?

Excellent point Ben.

So true. Even more so when you know that those who started them were tired of people talking about it. I mean why not just post in the original thread dedicated to BB?

See this is what I am talking about, not one side is going to convince the other. We have said all the points in either support or denial. So why can't we just put it behind us and continue and keep this a happy place with light argument because this topic is very heavy.

Littlemonster how surprised were you to hear about Lady Gaga having hip surgery? I was really surprised, I thought she was young and in shape. Do you think it has anything to do with her choice of wild footwear? I can't say I know the title to one of her songs but I do respect who she is and what she does to help people. I hope she has a full recovery and gets back out there.

LOL! See this is what I love just the fun atmosphere and how random topics can be brought up! Yah I was shocked! It's really sad! I think she overworks herself for her fans and she gives everything she has even if she's not 100%. She ignored her pain for a while and probably made it worse!

All: Thanks for all of the comments about my initial Enough is Enough post....I would like to clarify two things 1) Yes I knew by bringing it up it would cause a discussion on an area Im tired of discussing BUT my point was, if it has to be discussed put it in separate posts not those associated with the review of a scene. I struggle with the concept of somebody commenting on the quality of a scene they have not watched. #2) The purpose of bringing up what appeared to be an unrelated topic was not meant to degrade anyone HOWEVER, the post below (hopefully tongue n cheek) got me fired up. There is nothing SAD or tragic about the development and if people are heartbroken or devastated over the decision of a porn actor then they need to get a reality check.

I cannot go along with this decision of his to BB however! This is such a SAD, SAD, SAD turn of events that will not change my mind or my refusal to in any way support this tragic development for models associated with Broke Straight Boys I am truly heartbroken about my beloved BLAKE!.

I leave you devastated about BLAKE with all the sadness I associate with "BB Sex"! Ii still love BLAKE but I hope he never agrees to do this in future scenes.

Regardless of my personal feelings, was your goal in the highlighted section, to make people feel bad? That was not about anyone's feelings about bare backing. That was about telling the people here that they are not good enough for these models, and any attention they get from them is fake.

I don't know how many of these guys call you their friend, but I doubt they appreciate the light you just cast them in.

Some of us have already been behind the camera so we tend to make being our selves alot easier then others.. some new models maybe different & not know how to talk so they try to pretend there somthing that there not. ive already stated my gratitude to all my loving fans & how much they actually do mean to me. Every Body Has Their Own Opinion

Boys and Girls: Gay for pay porn is about gettin paid to have sex on camera. It's better if it's part of a fantasy, say as in str8 boiz havin' hot sex with gay boiz. If you watch too much porn, (as I have) then the window of excitement becomes smaller and smaller. Example: no upside down reverse "cowgirl" cumshots for me, ever. I want the bottom on their backs, feet/legs up in the air, with nice shots of the top's balls... and I could go on. We like what we like, when we like it. I prefer, on Broke Straight Boys, Ayden, Adam, Kodi, C.J., Mike R., more masculine/str8 boy types of talent. But that's what we're talkin about, talent. Sometimes, I have found, videos that turn me on are situation driven (as in no reverse cowgirl cumshots) but most often, scenes that turn me on are model (individual) driven. You can give me the hottest video ever, but if the models are in the least bit feminine (also subjective) it won't work for me. I suggest: no porn for a month... then come back and see what works for you.

I certainly agree with your taste in models, as well as your desire to watch masculine guys.

I also appreciated your comments about enjoying watching the fucking with the bottom on his back. I am primarily an oral person, so I was wondering if it was just me, but when I watch a fuck scene here, I wonder why they go through several positions that appear uncomfortable, and in the case of the last fuck scene here showed the top in a very unflattering position, until finally they got into the "missionary position", (if that is what it is called in gay sex).

Once again, David Adamdon's website is now into barebacking! If Broke Straight Boys stops barebacking, you bet David's site will TOP Broke Straight Boys FAST!!!
Is this now the fifth time you've mentioned that David's site now does barebacking too? Why do you feel it is so important to say it over and over and over again????????

Much like the title of this thread, "Enough is Enough".

David's site has been bareback for a long time almost since it started, that's the reason I didn't join it because he does have some damn fine models including my fav Diesal He has a model called Santo or Santos who is OMG unbelievably sexy woof woof! His site is also twice the cost of this one and it doesn't have the video library this site has, I still like his directing and his scenes but I'm not going to embrace the bareback aspect.

Every Body Has Their Own Opinion

And people should feel free to express their opinion... Broke Straight Boys offers Behind The Scenes for the romantics, safe sex scenes for the traditional members, and now bareback in the hope to attract the hard porn lovers.

All these groups are welcome. I hope that people that oppose barebacking consider staying here, because Broke Straight Boys offers much more than just bareback.

All honest opions should be welcome, let's not make HIV and sexual transferable diseases a taboo!

Dear Tyler,

I couldn't agree with you more about the thrust of your main point above. More on that point later...

I think most of us can agree that there are few models in here who have gained as much positive regard as Blake. Many of us feel a genuine human connection to him. He has endeared himself to us by showering us with attention, as well as expressing his own genuine appreciation to us for all of our support of him and his continuing career here.

Many of us knew by ourselves already, or even discussed it with others in advance, that if and when Blake ever did BB...especially if it was quickly after the introduction of BB to the site...that the sh** was gonna hit the fan and there would be all kinds of drama. Wailing, moaning, hand wringing, pulling out of hair, and the lamentations of the women. No offense ladies! :) Drama and strong opinions on serious topics are what many of us in here do best. I am using some tongue in cheek humor here to refer to a very serious subject. (The big "A") But really... Who can honestly say that they never saw any of this coming? Many of us care for him like few other models in here. The first time Blake would ever do BB was bound to generate much concern, controversy and conflict.

All that having been said, I still agree with your main point Tyler. Moving forward, I certainly hope that people can avoid the temptation to turn every thread about the review of the scene into another debate on BB. It's a very polarizing issue obviously. Already in this short of a time, many of the arguments of both sides and the middle are becoming cyclical and repetitive. Again I hope that not every review of a BB scene is going to devolve into watching a dog chase its own tail.

That's not to say that anyone should be told that the final word has been spoken on the issue of BB. Nor does it mean that any new person joining the site should refrain from commenting, because the rest of us have already been there and done that. Hopefully though people will start using other threads to express their feelings on the issue. There's also nothing wrong with someone wanting to talk about BB, saying on a review thread, "I'm going to post some comments about this scene on thread X."

CDC estimates that approximately 50,000 people in the United States are newly infected with HIV each year. In 2010 (the most recent year that data are available), there were an estimated 47,500 new HIV infections. Most (63%) of these new infections occurred in gay and bisexual men. Black/African American men and women were also strongly affected and were estimated to have an HIV incidence rate that was almost 8 times as high as the incidence rate among whites.

These porn movies are a fantasy... not to be repeated with untested partners in real life. There is nothing wrong to remind us of that fact, if it would save only one member from making such a careless mistake.

That is something different from harassing bareback lovers.
