Surprise surprise I agree with Mikeyank. Except that I like to see my straightish guys eventually bottom we are pretty much on the same wavelength. I know of a couple of websites that used to be all about seducing straight guys but they evidently can’t find them either. (Hint the ones who do it are on chaterbate).

So it’s very hard to gauge what exactly members want.

Broke Straight Boys had to make some huge changes recently and not changes we were happy about. Unfortunately free porn has killed the industry. Most of our competitors are no longer around. Luckily Broke Straight Boys is still here and we are very fortunate. We are trying our best to continue providing the best content possible and models and gay porn site. So we really do appreciate your membership here and continued feedback. Your membership helps pay for the models, keep them safe with the best testing available which is very expensive and of course being able to pay the staff so we can keep the longevity of Broke Straight Boys going. Saying that I have gone back recently and watched some of the older scenes and can see why there is a very vocal voice to call for the type of model you employed when the site started, so if a happy medium could be struck everyone would be happy. In an ever changing world like porn it must be very difficult to come up with new ideas that keep you at the top of your game, but you and your team are doing a sterling job and it is appreciated.

I have just watched a scene from when Broke Straight Boys first started between Fabio and Chad Colt, boy were these guys hot. What I really liked about this scene was not only their real reluctance to do anything unless they got paid for it and the negotiations were ongoing throughout the scene but the fact that it felt real and not a show by actors. The length of the scene seem to bear this out with Fabio particularly taking a long time to cum, only with Chad's help at the end first licking his balls, then holding them. Guys heres another little gem I have found today that continues to back up Rep and Mikeyank argument. Have a look at Justin West and Tony Michael's from 2007. I agree with you 100%. The quality of filming wasn’t as good back then and they made a big deal about it when they switched to HD. You have to remember technology wasn’t what it is now for smaller production companies back then. The innocents and freshness of the models makes up for it though. The best thing about Broke Straight Boys is the forum and the archives. It’s tons and tons of great content. If you don’t go back and look at the old scenes you are loosing a great deal of value for the site.

While I agree with you to a large extent Kingvalley about the revenue and the ebb and flow of models, I think the argument that Rep and Mikeyank put forward is a relevant one. The site at the end of the day calls its self Broke Straight Boys implying that those models on this site are both broke and straight by definition . In the early days that was very true and the scenes I recently made reference to with Chad Colt and Fabio and the scene with Justin West and Tony Micheal bears this out. However recent scenes with the likes of Calhoun, Kace Axel Richie West to name a few clearly no longer fit the title of this site because all identify as either bisexual or gay and from the amount of other sites they can be found on seem not to fit it the broke category either. Others like Cody, Ryan Pitt, Ben Dover and Ethan Steel do seem to be fit at least the straight part, again they do appear on other sites, not all but some. So the truly Broke Straight Boys seems sadly to be a thing of the past and this I think is what the likes of Rep and Mikeyank miss. I also need to say that where quality is concerned it's not always the visuals that let some scenes down but the sound too. The recent Calhoun and Ryan scene is a prime example of this. I have no problem with the content but the amount of noise these guys made was way, way over the top. Now if you compare this with a scene that was filmed about 18 months ago with Ricky Daniel's and Jake Spencer you can really see the difference. In Ricky and Jake' scene there was hardly any noise to speak of and the scene was off the scale. Calhoun and Ryan's could have been the same but of the two I have to say I prefer Jake and Ricky's because of this which is why I would award them a five but Calhoun and Ryan a four. Yes I know we have a volume button but I have also to say that we do live in 21st century where a full experience when watching a porn scene is a must, as sound is relevant but when it goes way over the top it stops the enjoyment. All I am saying really is just tone it down a bit and these type of scene will be a success.

I understand where kingvalley is coming from as this is 2020 and the porn industry and the world has changed over the last decade, but I agree more with Foxy that this is a niche site with a mission purpose that other gay porn sites do not have. And so while we are unlikely to find young men today such as the one's Foxy found wandering into David's studio and futon back in 2006, I am asking for at least new to porn guys, rather than from an agency that supplies models to many gay sites, and to try to include more guys on the straighter end of the spectrum, rather than totally fine with kissing, sucking, fucking and rimming other guys right from the git go. Because of the increase in copyright-infringed content available on the net, it is more and more difficult for studios to make content as they used to. In Australia our dollar is currently worth 3 coloured beads due to the US tariffs and the global slowdown, so it is harder for a large number of non-US members to afford the subscriptions. Also, I think that while everyone seems to have enjoyed most of the earlier content, the very word 'niche' is one that further marginalises a site and can have a downward membership trend. I think that while I'd never presume to claim knowledge of what's inside someone's brain and heart, I find it hard to believe how many of the long list of models have been straight. Porn in part fantasy and we take from it what we want and believe what we want. Ultimately, if you want the site to have the sort of models and frequency of updates as in the past, every financial member will have to stump up a lot more money so that the Broke Straight Boys team can afford to provide it. How many members can honestly say price is not an issue ? That's my take and I appreciate enormously the courtesy shown by others in this forum.

I don't think anyone is saying the scenes are not hot, but it does boil down to the fact that Broke Straight Boys in its mission statement I.e its title does say Broke Straight Boys and I have to say I cannot disagree with Rep and Mikeyank when the current models do not seem to fit the bill. I am a fan of the likes of Calhoun and Jo's, but these guys seem to be making a living out of porn. Both Calhoun and Jos Alvarez can be found on Chaos Men. Marcus Rivers is also on at least three other sites and we know that Cody Smith does porn with his girlfriend so the illusion of a Broke Straight Boys simply isn't here. Saying that these guys do make great porn and that is why they are successful in what they do.

I agree that the finances are the #1 issue with model quality and exclusivity. These models are paid performers and will take gigs wherever they can get them, while Mark is trying to keep costs to a minimum to be able to give us the best rates that he can. I understand that as in all businesses, the economics and the bottom line will ultimately affect the product, as the models need to be paid, the members want the lowest rates possible and management needs to make a profit to keep the business alive. I'm sure it is not an easy process for Mark and company to balance, but I do applaud what they do to keep things moving forward and to provide the best product that they can, at the lowest rate possible, for our entertainment.
