Not only do we get actual feedback from support tickets but we can literally watch cancelations increase. Our billers also give us reports on feedback they receive. When you cancel your membership, a representative will ask for feedback on why the membership is being canceled and we learned that unless we create a 3-way with a new participant, that members leave when we do re-pairings.

It's a very fine line we try to walk. The answer to the question is often much more complicated that can easily be stated in the forum. I really appreciate the candid feedback, it's all helpful and part of the soup that goes into setting the business rules that keep the lights on. We value that feedback for sure. But for example.. the week with Max, Richie and Sky wasn't planned in advance. We had a no show and had to get Max in last minute. Sha must have made at least 4 or 5 calls and offers to find someone to keep us from losing upwards of 5 scenes that week. Luckily Max was available and lived near a testing facility in a large enough city we could get same day results. I don't recall all the details, but please know we aren't out here winging this after 22 total years in this industry. There is a rhyme and reason for things. We don't get it right everytime, but like ya'lll said... we really are doing the best we can in a very unusual profession fraught with some very interesting and nonconforming variables

Anway.. you all have my attention. What do you want to see us do? Give me your wish lists. I'm truly listening and am happy to go to bat and run it up the flagpole.

Thanks for your openness and it is very much appreciated. Ok wish lists, don't have many but how about these:
1. Love to see a few more threesomes. It seems ages since the last one.
2. Change of scenery. Majority of the scenes seem to be filmed in a bedroom scenario, any chance of filming outside, by a pool or an evening scene where the guys are relaxing on at the jacuzzi tub.
3. You did a scene in a bath with John Henry and Richie West a while back, any chance of repeating this?

The metrics we used are weighted appropriately to account for time and other factors. It's an algorithm that gives us the truest picture we can get of what is resonating with the members. It wasn't neither easy nor cheap to have created, but it has been as close to an accurate guiding light as we can get. I don't think you were inferring that we do.. but just in case... we don't use BTS ratings for any model selection.

We do listen to members in the forum, but there is a handful of very valuable opinions here in the forum that we hear for sure but nothing to the sort of 2,000+ unique people that actively rate individual models post scene performances.

The ratings you guys see are based on someone going to model page and rating the guys just from their model page. The ratings we use are when someone watches a scene and rates each of the performers in that scene individually based on the performance. It's pretty close to what the other shows but more specifically...

Ryan Pitt has a 4.37 based on 2,421 votes.
Ethan Steel has a 4.32 based on 2,180 votes.

So Ryan's ratings are higher than Ethan.. but there are many other factors that are involved in planning a shoot week such as model availability (are they able to take off from their jobs or school), std testing results (we have people not clear every single month), actually showing up (we had a model just last month that didn't get off the plane while we were sitting at the airport waiting), and what other models are in the house they've already worked with. For example, going back to Ryan Pitt as an example.. Ryan had already worked with Blake Ellis which would have cut a scene for each of them. Ryan and Ethan had also worked together which would have cut a scene for Ethan and now Two for Ryan. When the guys come out, they want to work every day. If two guys in the house have already worked together then they both sit idle for a day and they get very "funny" about that kind of thing.

There are a lot of moving parts to getting a working schedule. I'll ask Sha if he is at liberty to say anything about Ryan. I have no knowledge of him specifically since I have nothing to do with the model recruiting and scheduling.

Ps. I just wanted to say that nothing I said in this post or my prior post was meant from a place of anything other than authenticity and trying to share insights into our business strategy. Being dismissive was the furthest place from where that post came from. I know you don't know me, but the "accept it or leave" attitude ascribed isn't one that my friends or coworkers apply to me. My Eeneagram type is a 9 which is that of peacemaker. My 16 personalities type is Diplomat or Mediator... "accept it or leave" is the antithesis of who I am

For instance I watched one of my favorites of all time scenes this morning. It’s one with Tyler Blaze. Also one of my all time favorite models. After the scene I noticed it had no stars. It let me vote for the scene and each of the models just like a new scene but I am sure i have voted for this scene before. I’m guessing that it may have even accepted my new ratings again. Of course it didn’t move the needle. If you change the ratings on an old scene it rarely moves the score. With new scenes it can be fun to change the rating and see what happens. In general I think people rate scenes higher now than they used to. I’m curious if you guys have noticed this to be true? But my main question is do you have an explanation for ratings disappearing. On a separate note but actually more germane to this thread, the scene I watched was Tyler Blaze & Johnny Forza flip fuck from March 2013 and it was hotter than any recent scene that I may have watched. Tyler Blaze is a hidden gem that I didn't appreciate at the time. He is classically handsome, although not my usual smooth type. Hey guys.. regarding technical issues like votes not counting/disappearing or videos not playing. Could I ask you to please click the link at the very top that says "Support Center" and report those? The tech people won't ever see problems like those here in the forum and there's no good way to track them. When you put it in a support ticket, it gets a tracking number and the ticket can be assigned to the right technical people who can get involved in looking into it.

Things regarding the models, how things are filmed & edited, and site design are things I, Sha and Mark can help with. But when it gets into bugs and tracking technical stuff we often need to involve Chuck, Ted or outside folks at the data center. The support tickets facilitate getting to the bottoms of those issue and those tracking numbers on the help desk tickets make sure they don't get ignored. It would be really helpful if you don't mind!

Hi Bryce, I spent the last few days, reevaluating my membership to Broke Straight Boys's. I changed my mind 3 times. As I wrote to you before I thank you for offering your heartfelt replies, to my questions. However, it was one thing you mention that really caught my eye to make leaving easier. "We listen to members in the forum, but there is a handful of very valuable opinions here in the forum we hear for sure but nothing to the sort of +2000 unique people who actively rank models post scene performances."
Before I came to the forum, I was already a member of Broke Straight Boys's, I may have said this before, nit I joined the forum when I saw a post by a member, who said something derogatory about a black model & no one called him out. Since then I posted regularly, thinking I could help effect some change inside the forum, than outside it. I am coming to the realization, I am beating my head against a wall. So I have cancelled my membership as I feel, that some of my ideas & values are not that of some of the members. I have made some great friends here, which I feel will last my lifetime.

I have tried many times over the years in and out of Broke Straight Boys since it started, and recently to no avail to get across to ownership & members alike that if you donot innovate you will die out. The attack mode is still high in the forum. When I joined the forum before and recently I was driven out for asking for change or innovation. Broke Straight Boys asked for ideas-what happens no follow thru this leads to more and more of the same standardized porn. Many decisions made by Broke Straight Boys over the years have hurt its viability and members who do not want any change in scope of models. You can play the numbers game until you blue in the face and members will still leave Broke Straight Boys I asked for an expansion of the site and was told there no plans for this then not even a month later Mark opens justforfans, so I joined hoping for the best. Huge BUST for me-no follow thru as usual promises not kept by Broke Straight Boys No need to respond I do not listen to more of the same anyway excuse after excuse. You can ignore me all you want but everything I said in the past came true faster than I even thought. Luckily I have the most amazing staff and experience to overcome these matters. But unfortunately with testing we are limited. We also deal with various issues with models causing trouble, not wanting to do scenes with particular models and everything else you could possibly imagine.
The process is not easy and thankfully I have an amazing staff.

We have tried going back to the original concept more than once and overall feedback, sales etc. weren’t good. We will put more straight models on the site and then we get complaints then we put more willing models on the site and we get complaints. So it is very hard to gauge feedback on what the members wanted. Please keep in mind most members don’t vote, don’t post on the message board or give us any feedback. So it’s very hard to gauge what exactly members want.

Broke Straight Boys had to make some huge changes recently and not changes we were happy about. Unfortunately free porn has killed the industry. Most of our competitors are no longer around. Luckily Broke Straight Boys is still here and we are very fortunate. We are trying our best to continue providing the best content possible and models and gay porn site. So we really do appreciate your membership here and continued feedback. Your membership helps pay for the models, keep them safe with the best testing available which is very expensive and of course being able to pay the staff so we can keep the longevity of Broke Straight Boys going. So it’s very hard to gauge what exactly members want", my suggestion is and has been for a while to offer a variety of types of models of various body types, ethnicity's, and degrees of sexuality. That is why I appreciate the upcoming return of Ethan Steel, as he typifies my type of Broke Straight Boys, similar to the type that David brought us in the days of the original scenes on Broke Straight Boys-1. Lately there have been a lot of the same kind of models, all with experience in gay porn and so there is no "journey" of discovering man on man sex, and I miss that. But that us my thing and by offering variety, it can hopefully satisfy all of the poeple at least some of the time.

That's my two cents, but as I say over and over, as long as the site remains affordable and there is an open and free forum to say pretty much whatever we think, I am here and I'm not going anywhere. Surprise surprise I agree with Mikeyank. Except that I like to see my straightish guys eventually bottom we are pretty much on the same wavelength. I know of a couple of websites that used to be all about seducing straight guys but they evidently can’t find them either. (Hint the ones who do it are on chaterbate).

Anyway they have gone to providing one or two different type of scenes. Maybe an outdoor or a sex in public in between the straight seduction scenes. I’m not particularly fond of this arrangement but you could do some kind of variety. My preference would be if DAVID could produce an old school Broke Straight Boys scene every so often. I don’t know if he could still do it but since he is around filming College Boy Physicals, it’s not like he isn’t around. That might even bring some of the old members back.
