ATraverse City Michigan principal took the phrase "Don We now our gay apparel" out of the Christmas song Deck the Halls... because it was too controversial. Fortunately the school board reversed it.
We live in a sick world.

We live in a sick world.

I don't know if I would call it a "sick" world, but our society does seem to be moving to a less accepting culture. I put my heart, thoughts, money and vote toward a world that is more open. Why should I try to put your "square peg" into my "round hole"?!...from what I've read, most of you wouldn't like my "round hole" anyway!:w00t:

I dont know about your round hole but none of us have a square peg. If You could find one Id love to see an episode with the guy with a square peg. You are right about most guys here preferring a guys round hole, but you shouldn't be offended by that. Ive had both in my life and I prefer a guy anytime. I fully agree with your observation that society is getting less acceptable of so many things.

Funny you should bring this up. The "square peg penis problem" is a real case. Many scientist thought it was caused by young boys eating too many "Krispy Crackers." I was one of the young boys that ate tons of this stuff. I can do construction work with my penis. Beth would love it.

Can you believe a person of education did not understand the reference of gay in the song has nothing to do with sexual orientation.

I am sure the principal understands the reference. He did it because when a class of twenty five ten year olds sing the song, seven immature boys stand there for the next four lines, giggling and poking each other saying, "Hehehe, hahaha, it said gay.........oh my God, we just said gay, hehehe, hahaha."

Hammer away, my friend!

Why do you think I'm a "retired" teacher! The system of "education" is not to educate, but to "pass on" outdated ideas...and pass state tests!...Shit, now I need some porn to "relieve" myself...I'll be back.

I would find that so cute. But it is an opportunity to educate as well. When I was a kid, I went to the library and found a book titled "Our Hearts Were Young and Gay." Imagine my disappointment when I found out I could check it out so easily because it didn't have one gay person in it.

And now...another word from our sponsors:

Being a "navy brat" I had the unique privilege of living in a number of different places growing up. In every elementary and secondary school I ever attended that same group of immature kids seemed to have been in attendance. It is too bad that this particular group never ran into my 4th grade teacher who would have fixed them with a stare worthy of Medusa and informed them that further disruptions would have severe repercussions. The look and tone of voice were such that no one ever wanted to find out what the repercussions might be.

I did read about this event when it was first reported and was amused. I was even more amused when some people started just posting a summary and claiming it was political correctness gone wild. I do not think so. But it was a very silly way to react to a bunch of immature kids.

Larster - I remember those old books as well. How disappointing it was to find out they were falsely titled.
