Interesting piece of trivia from the beginning of Supernatural:

Jared Padalecki starred on Gilmore Girls before Supernatural. His character's name was Dean. He was so use to that name, that at the beginning of Supernatural whenever the name Dean was used, he would respond. At one point there was thought given to switching the brother's characters' names, but Jared insisted they not; and obviously he worked that hiccup out.
