I have always been addicted to porn Love the shit and if computers were around when I was younger would most certainly have ventured into this area instead of medicine. Especially considering how the insurance companies fuck over Docs and patients today. But enough of that. What I want to know, if anyone does, is what do gay porn stars make for a shoot and do bottoms get paid more and are there studios like Universal (LOL) that for a fee will let you watch behind the scenes? Should be an interesting discussion.

Model pay varies from person to person and depends on many different circumstances. Similar to anyother company you start at the bottom and work your way up. Do good work and you get a raise, do poorly and get a decrease in your scene rate. Generally, it is forbidden not to mention unprofessional for models to discuss their pay rate with one another. So usually no one knows what the others are making.
In Broke Straight Boys 1 there WAS a rate differencial for different things. ie $1 for solo $2 for top and $3 for bottom. (note that the 1 2 and 3 dollars are example... we are paid much more lol) However do to the declining economy and rise in online piracy things are much different now. Rates are usually standard by person and not the scene. Keep in mind that I can only SPEAK FOR MYSELF, it is plausible for a model to say ill do this for x amount but this will be so much more. Its up to the model to negotiate their rate of pay for what they are willing to do.
Also it depends on the studio. The more popular the more they pay!
Years ago when I started this career we were compensated much more. But again between the economy and piracy things have changed substantially. Today we are still paid very well for the work that we perform.
I dont know for a fact but i would assume the ballpark pay rate today is between $400 - $3,000, depending on the model, the work and the production company. Exclusive Models are usually paid a little more, mainly because they arnt not aloud to work for other production companies while under contract. Exclusive models, in my experience, have a set pay rate. You agree to exclusivly film with said studio for X amount of time and do X amount of scenes in that time for X amount of money.
As far as watching production I would assume thats not possibile! This company and most others im familiar with go to great lengths to protect both the privacy and security of the models and the studio. This is most likely the reason we go on tour to Pride Events, so that we may meet the fans and interact on a personal level.
This is a job and a company just like all the rest of the companies in the nation. The harder and better that you work, the more earning potential you have. Prices are not set specifically as some people need more "convincing" or "motivation" than others. So two identical twins doing the same work for the same studio could be paid much differently.

It is also interesting to learn that due to the poor economy, models generally are paid less today, than a few years ago, when the original Broke Straight Boys was being produced.

Honestly, its my pleasrure to respond and give you as much information as i can about the things you like to learn about. When I make an investment, I appreciate knowing where my money is going. Its important to keep in mind that this is obviously a business, a company. I wouldnt say that information is studio secret rather Universal throughout the industry. In any sense, in this blog and others I can only speak for myself. Your coworkers dont ask how much you make or anything neither do I. Also may I remind you this is Broke Straight Boys 2 and alot is changing lol (and personally I like Broke Straight Boys 2 more than I did BSB1.. its in a good diretion and under great care)Thats what this forum is for after all isnt it ? To post threads ask questions and learn about something your curious of. Being able to better enjoy something you like? I just feel this site and forum should have depth. You asked a question, why assume when an answer is more sufficient.
And of course this industry took a MAJOR hit along with the rest of the economy. Sure some rates have decreased but obviously we are appropriatly compensated after all, if we wernt we wouldnt be here. The money is the motivation because despite speulation WE NEED IT !! But again is no industry secret its an economic and business fact.

I recall Tyler, Dustin, Mike Robbins, Mikey, Logan, Austin, Diesal, and a few others I think.

I find that your not being aware of the forum back then interesting, as I often posted back then that the models just flew into Ft. Lauderdale to shoot their scenes, and then went back home to live their regular lives, and had little interest or apparently even knowledge that we were talking about them.

Please stay active, talking with us. Guys like you Jason are the only "real life" connection between the models and the audience. Thanks again for being such a cool dude!!!

I don't know how we got so lucky to be allowed the privilege of having your presence both pictorially but even better emotionally on BSB-2. I have always had a fondness for you when you first started on BSB-1. I was very disappointed hearing that BSB-2 was not planning on using previous models.

However when this exception came to pass, I am thankful to have your current participation both on the forum and hopefully some additional episodes as well. I for one appreciated your earlier self-description that you are not only about the parts, but about the hearts. This is self-evident in all of your episodes and what inner truth I feel privileged you shared with us on the forum. Clearly, your "heart" as conveyed through your eyes is what I most admire in you. I cannot, however, fail to mention your gorgeous silky-smooth body is a welcomed and soothing consolation visually speaking to me too! I am gratified that this one expection to date was made for you to rejoin BSB models and your participation on the forum. You are a wonderful asset to BSB.

Please remain active on the forum. I like to feel I have something emotionally invested in a BSB model and especially when they are as down-to-earth as you!

Dear Stimpy,

As you and everyone else knows, I spent a "stint" in my Commonwealths fine Correctional System lol. I would say it was about a year and a half ago, maybe just a bit shorter or longer, when I regained contact from Clay. I was suprised to learn that he was taking over the shoots for Broke Straight Boys I too was saddened to learn they would not be accepting the old models to return for Broke Straight Boys 2. As time went a long and personal situations beame more desperate I pulled many favors that I never knew I had. Looking back it wasnt necessarily favors I found but I was tied into a circumstance that makes this site what it is. This can be a very demanding, stressfull and even irritating profession at times. I was experienced and moderatly talented at performing. But I would say that by reputation, general opinion and statistics it wasnt a poor decision. I cant say for sure why the exception was made for me, but im certainly glad to be back !! I will contact to interact on the forum so long as you and everyone else continue to keep the forum an interesting place to interact.

I hope to attend as many of the events as possibile. Im not sure how the selection process is determined but surely your suggestions cant hurt ! I think it would be a ton of fun to get to come to your nearby cities and get to meet you in person ! It certainly promises to be an experience of a lifetime and there is a ton of great cities on the tour this year, any of which i would be honored to attend.

As for the upcoming scenes I cant really comment because I dont really know. Ive been told good things and Rex is an awesome guy. I felt the filming went incredably smoothly and we got along well! I hope that you enjoy it !
