Cast Your Vote for Your Favorite BSB Model!

HI,

You're correct that I am encouraging you to vote for a specified amount of time in order to get the latest rankings for a BTS featurette. That's all. Ian is correct in that many in the top 25 right now aren't even current models, but that can be changed with your vote. Not everyone votes like some of our members do unfortunately so I'm trying to encourage it. Voting can be done two ways and it really helps me with picking the top guys for the video feature. If it doesn't allow you to vote that means you have already voted for that model or scene. You can only vote once. You have presented some great ideas for an alternate voting system, but that would not encourage voting on the system we already have in place. Many of you have messaged me in private to say that the system works well, but I'm open to helping those who find it confusing. As of today the model rankings have changed significantly so its important that everyone on this site has their say who their favorite is. Again, hope this helps.

The problem with your methodology is that we vote on scenes. I have no idea how to vote just for models. So say I give 4 stars to a scene with Damien and Ian in it. How does that vote get translated into a vote for the guys? Let's say my vote reflects my view that Ian had a great scene, but Damien didn't. Do both guys get the benefit of my 4 vote for the scene? Also when I go to the boys section, all the boys already have ratings called "Performer Rating" but I never voted for them individually. It seems to me that you are trying to get us to vote simply for a particular model in an already existing complicated rating system that allows us to vote for a scene and not a specific model. You seem to be trying to fit a square peg into a round hole and it can't be done.

With all due respect, Damian, your instructions leave much to be desired. First, you start the thread with its purpose but nothing other than a photo image which a rational person would presume is the link to the voting; then it is called to your attention that this doesn't work. Then you adjust your first post to include a link, while remonstrating us that the image was meant only for aesthetic purposes as if we should have known that, but how could we have since the post was without any instructions at all; then you click on "The Boys" link and you go to the boys section of the site but there is no place to vote nor any instructions what to do inorder to cast a vote. Maybe you should get everything working properly and start over, or come up with a complete set of correct instructions.

C'mon Stowe. It's late and you're tired. Most of us are in the same boat at 1:30 am EST. Please cut DC some slack. He's not used to posting much of anything in the forum so he's still learning the ropes. I want to encourage his future participation in here rather than discouraging it. I have little doubt that by tomorrow sometime we'll have more concise instructions as to how we can cast a vote.

First of all, tampa, it had nothing to do with the hour or my being tired (which I wasn't). I respectfully pointed out to him the problems I found with his instructions. There were no "ad hominem" attacks, or other personal diatribes. And it has nothing to do with his ability to post or not. When someone devises a system and they want people to participate in that system, then he or she has an obligation to be familiar with the system and have the ability to communicate what it is he or she wants the people to do in order to participate in this system. He did not do that and I simply pointed that out. I thought perhaps I was missing something but subsequent posts by others indicate that I wasn't the only one confused. And as I write this on 2/5 at 7:05 pm, est the system is still unclear.

If my polite, albeit, direct constructively critical post would as you imply discourage Damian or anyone from posting on the forum then they are too sensitive to be in this forum in the first place.

How about make a list of top 25 and we vote for 1 or maybe we vote for 3. get finalists after a week or so then vote for just 1 .

That sounds like a good idea joeychuck2. Go for the top 3 out of 25. Makes much more sense.Or even the top 15 down to
top 3 .I don't think there are 25 out of all the boys left.

Still makes no sense.Why don't you make a list of the 15 or 20 boys that are still active..Lot of guy's I miss Kodi, Denver,Conner etc.
But it seems they are not that broke ..List guy's that still want to put on a show..And work for the money.

when you go to the boys section, after you click on a model you will see five stars and something called performer rating. this is different than the rate the scene.

Just Go To The Boys Section & Arrange The Models To Highest Rated & Go To Certain Models That You Know How They Preform Or What You Think They Deserved As A Performance Rating. You Simple Rate The Model By Clicking On How Many Stars You Think They Deserve. The More Models You Give A Rate To. The More Change There Will Be In The Ratings. You Simple Rate The Model By Clicking On How Many Stars You Think They Deserve Stars are already colored in for your rating but I never voted. How can you vote for someone when the stars are already colored in and you didn't vote . The More Models You Give A Rate To. The More Change There Will Be In The Ratings. The system that is in place does not allow for voting on individual models themselves only on the scenes they are in with others (except for solo scenes, of course). Alot Of People Have Been Saying That They Weren't Able To Vote For Me Either... Idk Whats Going On But Hopefully Someone Fixes It Soon. So The Rating Are Correct....

Fair enough Stowe. You're correct that DC posted a vague and confusing request. I felt your response to him was a little more blunt and harsh than was necessary. You feel otherwise. So as gentlemen we will just have to agree to disagree.

With respect Stowe, there are a few things in your post that are incorrect. Yes. When you go to the model's individual page you will indeed see his performer rating has the stars already filled in and the current rating shown. That just tells you what his current rating is, based on other people's votes. That doesn't mean though that you cannot vote. Just as when you vote on a particular scene, you will rarely if ever see all the stars blank. (Unless you're checking a porn scene right after its release at 10:00 before any other vote has been cast.) Usually you see what the current rating is before you watched the scene and before you've cast your vote. So it's the same for the performer rating.

So even with stars and a rating already filled in for the performer rating of various models...you can still add your new vote to the tally. One of the confusing things now is that after voting on scene ratings it flashes a message saying, "Thanks for your vote." After voting on the performer rating you will not get that message. If you have never voted for a performer rating on a model's individual page you can see the stars flash as you move your cursor over them. You can then click the star (rating) you wish, just like for a porn scene. After you vote you can tell that it took your vote by the way the stars do not light up or go blank as you move your cursor over them. As with voting on scenes, it will only take your vote once. Even if the rating doesn't appear to change at all...that doesn't mean that it didn't accept your vote. Sometimes you will see a performer rating change after your vote. If so, it will usually budge by only .01 up or down.

It would be less confusing though if they could add the "Thanks for voting" message for the performer rating like they do for the porn scenes.

Wow this thread is heated for some reason. I have taken your point on the confusion on the performer rating system. I am going to have this fixed by our team. To be clear, the model performer rating is completely separate from the scenes the model is in. Right now its only 1 vote per member. I am going to update this so you may change your vote at any time and make the stars more prevalent and easier to see when you have voted.

I think most of us understand that the performer rating is different from voting for a scene. The problem is that no one has told me how to vote for the performer since when I go to the model's page he already has a rating and I never voted for him. That is what has to be clarified.

I may not be correct or accurate on this but, all of the models, regardless of their being active, are part of the data base on which the "Sort" works. Many times, people like to go back a view past models or scenes. If you disable the models and just keep the active one's....if you think there's confusion now? It may just take getting used to but if you play around with it. But I don't think bringing back all past models is as easy as a vote. There are things sometimes, no one has control over. Money is not always the answer.
