Cameron Fucking Grey Donovan - Scene Thread

Hey there. Malakai is an amazing guy and awesome performer. I do hope that you give him a chance as I was very impressed with him and his work. He certainly is not what I would consider an experienced porn star. This was the first site that he has been on. He does have a "Fans Only" page as many guys that enter this industry do so they can make money on the side when they aren't filming and also build their fan base.
I made similar comments on the thread started by Pete regarding Malakai. If I am wrong about his experience then I publicly apologize to Malakai that I got the wrong impression from his twitter page.

Well, mikey, I must admit once the post blathering started, I tuned out. After reading this comment of yours I went back to listen to the entirety of the post-scene blather. And I must say I think that what sha did was an outrage. If he wants to critique a model fine then do it privately but not as part of a scene to be watched by the membership at large. I really feel bad for Cameron.

I totally agree with you on this. I really felt uncomfortable watching Cameron dealing with this immediately following the scene. It's one thing to have to deal with a less than exciting fuck scene and totally another thing to have to discuss it in front of the audience. Damn, if Cameron has any second thoughts about coming back to porn that could definitely push him away from it. I hope he can work it out and stay. He's a damn fine looking young man.

Well, it is you, sha, who misses the point. You are his employer and you are talking about things in his performance that are personal to him. If that is too confusing for you to understand, let's use this example: Say you, sha, are an employer and you give two of your employees a project to present to a client. The two employees make the presentation to the client; and while they are doing so you notice and make note of some things one of the employees does which you want to address. Do you address them in front of the client or wait until the client has left? In our little situation here, you are obviously the boss, Cameron and Grey are the employees, and the Broke Straight Boys membership is the client. I just think it was wrong for you to address his issues as part of the scene for everyone to hear. I am not saying you did it on purpose or with malice aforethought. You are not that type of person. I'm sure your intentions were meritorious, but I just think the implementation was flawed.

And Jayb I don't agree with your view that the comments were made because sha was anticipating what the members would say. First, I don't think anyone should ever do that because there is no way one can know or should anticipate what, if any thing, members might say with any degree of certitude. And secondly if your premise were the case, then almost every scene would have to have such a post-scene commentary based on what the director thinks the members might say about a scene.

Truthfully, I can understand everyone's position and points and maybe they are all valid. There was another option and that would have been to not put up the scene on Broke Straight Boys site, had the conversation with Cameron, as is appropriate, within the scene, even though not posted on the site, or simply cut the filming and had a private conversation with Cameron. I believe that Cameron was owed a conversation, regardless of when it took place, to try and understand what was ticking in his head, but probably not where all could hear and see his agony.

There is also the possibility that when the lights and camera were turned off that Cameron was asked if he was ok with that conversation being left in the scene. Who knows. I’m still pulling for him though.

mikeyank;213703 Overall the post sex talk in this case was an awkward and uncomfortable segment for me to watch.[/QUOTE said:
Cameron said he wasn't sure he should be doing this. That's why this scene was blah. I agree with you Mikeyank and with Stowe. This conversation should have happened in private.

I would never post anything that a model did not want me too. I have done this long enough and certainly care enough about our guys to do otherwise. The reality is that without being there, you only know your best guess of what goes on. Cameron gave it his all and simply is not in a place where he feels comfortable in this business. All I can say is that Cameron didn't feel at all slighted by this interview and I made a decision at that time that I felt was needed.

That’s why it didn’t bother me as much. I can understand that it made some members uncomfortable watching it, but if Cameron didn’t care, I don’t know why we should care. It’s not like this is TMZ.

He didn’t seem to have problems with porn in 2012. I for one would like to know the rest of the story?

Thanks Sha. I wondered if maybe he had regrets about returning to the business (I mentioned this is my first post on this thread). Some guys do this as a lark when their young and don't plan on a career in the business. The money is good but only for a short while. I think Ronan Kennedy was like that when he was here. I understand he had no desire to return even before his attack. I hope Cameron can get his finances squared away and settled down making a living in a way that he's happy with.

I liked being let in on the reality part with the interview at the end. Forum members know more about Cameron's history than I do, but I do think he is a great looking guy. He really looked hot sitting there naked and playing with his cock at the end. And I definitely like Grey's hairy butt! Thanks again, Sha, for the transparency. This is a great site. Good luck to Cameron.

I’ve said for the longest time that I would love to see the aftermath of a scene. Even if it’s for a few minutes since I believe it’s a true and real look at the models. I enjoy when Broke Straight Boys tries something different. The scene wasn’t the greatest but it was still enjoyable.

I didn’t get that at all about the post interview. Members were going to criticize the scene anyway, and I think maybe Sha thought he’d address it on the spot, because he knew we all would have something to say bout it. I can see why you would think it was embarrassing though to put Cameron on the spot like that, but I don’t think Sha addressing it is any worse than the models seeing most of the hateful shit some of the members say about them on this forum.
I just hope maybe Cameron can get out of his head and come back and blow us away. He’s so handsome.

Jay. I am 100% with you. I enjoyed the post & pre talk at the end. That is what separates Broke Straight Boys from other sites, I thank Sha for the questions, some of us, like me, asked for reactions of the models if new. I only got to half of the comments, so I don't know what was said after you. I will amend my post if needed after reading them. Poor Sha, he can't win one way or another.

I finally read the other comments and agree with them. Matter fact I had posted once it would be nice to hear some reactions from a newbie Model or after scene responses. I respect some didn't enjoy it, but that is what the stop video button is all about. As pointed out, not everything is for everyone. Many of the scenes others enjoy, I don't, so it is my right to not see it, but I thank Sha again for doing the interview, Hey guys it is only porn, it's suppose to be fun.

Thank you Sha for that many pieces of the puzzle. I had not watched the scene yet prior to reading the thread. I had no idea of all the controversy going on.

Even after having watched the full scene I'm still at a loss in processing everything because we members will never have a full picture of what was going on here. Mainly I guess trying to get inside Cameron's head to understand his fears, concerns and issues. At first glance my first inclination was to feel very embarrassed for Cameron to be put in the hot seat like that on camera. I was practically squirming in my own seat. It was painful to watch.

It's odd that so many of us here in the forum seem to feel the same way about Cameron. I myself am predisposed to really liking him and really wanting him to succeed here. I rarely feel that way about other new models who come along. Maybe it's partly because he has a D&E/Broke Straight Boys/BluMedia pedigree already and he's a throwback to some good times here on the site in the past. Maybe it's because I am (or was) counting on him to show the powers that be at Broke Straight Boys that an occasional older model beyond the traditional 18-24 year old age group can find a welcoming and appreciative audience here. I only add the past tense as a possibility because I don't know how literally or with how much finality to take Sha's comment about Cameron not being comfortable in the business. He may already be gone. Or he could surprise us later by making a surprising comeback like Spencer Todd once did.

It would be easier for me as a fan of the site if I didn't feel as invested in Cameron's success here as I do or did. If a new model came along and just couldn't cut it, usually I would hardly bat an eye if he just left the site or got out of the business altogether. But Cameron I really do like, even if I can't fully explain why.

Like many of the rest of you in here I vacillated between being upset with Sha for cornering a scared Cameron on camera like this in such a public way...and wishing it had been done in private... Yet also quietly cheering inside that a...(please pardon a religious metaphor in reference to a porn scene)...a real Come to Jesus meeting was taking place between management and a model who really needed some constructive criticism. There have been a few models over the years who got away with phoning in scenes left and right. And I always wondered things to myself like, "How can they let this go on? He needs some serious talking to about his future on the site. Why don't they talk to him and lay it on the line? Can't they (management) see that he's just phoning it in, going through the motions, and raking in our cash?!"

There are two very well known models in my mind who fit that bill perfectly. And it frustrated me to no end when I would see no improvement from one scene to another, to another. So now we have proof certain that Sha is not averse to putting on the big boy pants as a boss. Instead of watching a scene fizzle in front of his eyes and either pretending not to notice, going into denial, or just glossing over it with congratulations to both models for a job well done at the close...like Clay did and yes, even David did sometimes...we now know that Sha is willing to speak up and call a spade a spade.

As a paying member that's what I want to know is happening. (Whether there is audio proof on camera or not.) As a paying member of the site I want to know that there is a grownup in charge who cares about maintaining (or at least trying to maintain) a consistent level of quality. And one who is also showing himself to be a good steward of our subscription money. (To make sure it is not being wasted frivolously.) One who is all about showing empathy, compassion and patience to a model who might temporarily be struggling... Willing to offer advice, constructive criticism, encouragement, etc... But also not afraid to have the difficult but necessary conversations sometimes if things are going awry.

Tampa, as I was reading the portions of your post that I quoted above, I had a Ronald Reagan moment as he famously told Jimmy Carter in their debate, "There you go again". lol

You've often spoken about models who "phone it in" and who "frivolously waste" our subscription money. And every time you go there, I will say again that "phoning in" a scene and "wasting subscribers money" is highly subjective. I'm not going to use the Jimmy Johnson example as you and I have been over that literally dozens if not hundreds of time. But I will use the example of Johnny Forza. Members would complain over and over again that Johnny was not a hard worker and he never learned to suck dick properly, etc. etc. However if you check highest rated models you will find him right on the front page in ninth place of all time models. So obviously that was not an issue to the majority of viewers who've voted on models over the years.

I will remind you again that doing porn is very different from most lines of work. An assembly line worker can be compared to his peers as not producing but in sex and porn, everyone's desires differ and some of us do not necessarily care for a model who willingly sucks cock and turns over to get fucked with glee and enthusiasm. In fact I know of several former members of this site who have quit because the models in their opinion are now too gay and they miss the straighter types who only sucked cock reluctantly when told they had too and rarely if ever bottomed such as Diesal, Dustin, Mike Robbins, Tank Shane and the two names I mentioned above.

WE pay a fixed amount every month and whether we get very masculine reluctant guys like Axel Kane or very eager gay bottoms who love to kiss and rim and take internal cum shots, it doesn't affect what we pay. Our choice is to stay or leave. I know many who left and we now have many members who would be turned off by what was presented on Broke Straight Boys-1 and Broke Straight Boys-2. it is ALL highly subjective and there is no standard for what constitutes a GOOD worker in the porn industry. If Johnny Forza remains right in the middle of Page one and he hasn't performed here since 2014, means that many paying members think he worked very hard as they rated him so highly. There is no RIGHT or WRONG in porn. It's all a matter of individual taste.

You are quite right my friend in everything you say about the subjectiveness of what a majority of members of a site will consider a good performance on any given day. Or even the overall perception of a particular model over a longer period of time.

Some of us will look at a performance and say that it was sorely lacking. Others will say that they greatly enjoyed it and it was just what they were hoping for from this particular person. So I totally agree with the point that there is no right or wrong in our individual tastes in sex and porn. I think that Mikeyank and other members will also agree that being in the majority of opinion in favor of, or a disfavor of a model does not make the few minority dissenters wrong either. Mikey and I (and many others) have been on both sides of that fence before. As viewing members we sometimes find ourselves in the minority in liking and defending a model who is not doing well in the ratings or reviews. Other times we find ourselves in a minority that doesn't care for a particular model and can't fathom why such a positive fuss is being made over him by a majority of members. haha

I always try my best to balance Mikey's point above that there is no right or wrong in our individual tastes in porn. I have no argument with that at all. Even at times when we are caught up in our beliefs and passions and our little primitive egos are trying to tell us we are right and another person is totally wrong...we are not talking consequential weighty issues of world peace here. haha We do have to keep things in perspective. :)

The only "but" I will add to that is this... I've also said before that there would be little point to even having a forum in here if we all agreed on everything. Or if the prevailing majority opinion was to be respected and to be unchallenged by all at all times. Can you imagine anything more boring and wasteful of our time than that? haha It's the very diversity of opinions and perspectives that makes the forum here, and public discourse and debate in general, an educational, interesting and even an entertaining public endeavor.

So, Vive la difference! :Banane59:

P.S.

While Johnny Forza is one more fairly obvious choice who could also fit into the description of certain models (plural) in my previous post above, it was another Broke Straight Boys-1 model I actually had in mind. However Mikey's point would still be valid (and provably correct) that a majority of members at the time, based on his ratings and reviews...really enjoyed him and thought he could do no wrong. So I am a minority dissenter on the personality, attractiveness, skill level and work ethic of that model as well. haha And I'm okay with that. :)

Hey Folks,

I don't want Mikey's and my detour in the posts above to detract from the primary point I was trying to make previously. That being that I really respect and appreciate the fact that I/we have confirmation that if a model is struggling or not performing up to standard (albeit with the understanding that the term "standard" can be highly subjective) that something will be noticed, worked on and discussed when it is observed. That doesn't mean a boss constantly nitpicking every minute aspect of a model's performance, giving him no praise or encouragement for what he's doing right...and crushing his self esteem. Sometimes letting a model learn the ropes naturally and grow into the role, without a lot of feedback and prodding, can work out just fine.

I know I kept referring to Sha personally in praising him for speaking up when he saw something not going well. I don't mean by that that Sha is the only one doing so. And Bryce is not for example. I figure that if Sha is doing it, then Bryce probably is also. I'm assuming that Sha is giving us but one example of the current corporate culture. Whereby if an obvious issue arises, that it will be addressed fairly quickly by management and not just ignored and swept under the rug. I applaud that for all the many reasons I've already stated.

Good people in here can differ on the merits or appropriateness of having this conversation recorded on camera. That's fine. We can go round and round on that like a dog chasing its own tail. My main point though was that regardless of where we fell on that one aspect of what unfolded...that in my opinion, it was a conversation that was definitely worth having. I'm very very happy to know that there are grownups in charge, and the people upstairs are not afraid or unwilling to have those conversations. :)

Thanks Tampa for saying what you did and understanding my point. Believe me there are some very popular models on the site, even currently whose scenes I never watch but I've learned to basically "zip my lips" about them so as to not to offend friends of mine who like them and even more particularly not to offend the models themselves if they happen to read the forum.

Oh and the model you were speaking of in the last paragraph was "worshiped" by the majority of the forum back in the early days, and I know that you were never a fan, and that of course was "Prince Tyler". lol
