BSB roulette

I tried to re-tell the story of the rise and fall of Mike from Broke Straight Boys as best as my recollection allows, so if any of the facts are incorrect I apologize, but in retrospect I do not blame David.

I was one of Mike's biggest fans and supporters, and I defended him on the forum when the "masses" were crying for his dismissal due to his refusing to "reinvent" himself. I have no problem with a guy remaining true to his own beliefs and desires, and agree that he was an excellent top, who was wonderful for me to watch, but the negativity that he was receiving on the forum and perhaps in other ways that David and Mark evaluated performers perhaps forced their hand.

Mike also appeared to let himself go towards the end of his Broke Straight Boys career, physically as perhaps other issues in his life affected his grooming and physical appearance. I participated on David's new site for a few months around it's launch and was fascinated to see that Mike Robbins filmed one last scene there, (perhaps very close to his death), and he hardly looked like the fresh faced, enthusiastic kid that we had met only a few years before that on Broke Straight Boys From everything I've read, both David and Eddie truly loved Mike, and the fact that David brought him back to give him more work indicates that affection and loyalty.

I am so glad that we have the archives available to us here to watch Mike Robbins, (albeit under the ridiculous name of Mike Jones in the "boys" search), and we can enjoy the youthful beauty and enthusiasm that young Mike brought to all of his scenes on Broke Straight Boys RIP Mike Robbins, and thank you for being an unforgettable entertaining performer on the site and contributor on the forum.

I agree with you Jon. It seems such a shame to posthumously re-label a model with such a pedestrian last name. Especially when he built his career on another one that he obviously liked and had no problem with.

My apologies to any Joneses out there. I don't consider it a bad name and in fact have some Joneses in my own extended family. :)

Mike has earned his wings!

:001_cool:Well, we are all family after all is said and done. That is all very sad to me, and I send a special note to heaven that this guy should have a special place there with lots of guys to be near. That is all I have to say about it. Just good thoughts to our departed star.:angel2:
