A Wonderful Afternoon
I don't know where to start expressing how awesome it was this afternoon to meet Sha, Jason, Blake, Cole and Denver. I spent over an hour with the guys, and although I swore to several of my Broke Straight Boys Forum friends last night, that there was no way that I would appear on camera, when shirtless Blake smiled at me, and asked me to appear on the BTS, how could I say no? I also called Ms. K on my cell phone, while I was on video, and she chatted with all of the guys too.
While Blake and Jason appear handsome and sexy in their videos, I have a new appreciation for both after spending that time with them. Besides treating me like a celebrity, they were both charming and personable and the time flew by while hanging out with them. While I was chatting with Jason, a fan passed by and said that Jason would make good marriage material, and I wholeheartedly agreed that Jason would be an ideal mate for anyone. He is stunningly handsome in person, standing there shirtless on Hudson Street in NYC.
I also had a long chat with Sha who is a really great guy too, who explained a lot of the behind the scenes stuff that goes into making Broke Straight Boys the successful website that it is. We even discussed my complaints in recent months that there has been a lack of "believably" straight guys on the site, and he indicated that we may see more of the type of scenes with more reluctant straight type guys in the near future.
Denver wore the least, just clad in sneakers, boxer briefs, and a Broke Straight Boys fake tattoo on his chest, and he got a lot of attention from the crowd. I talked to Cole about a favorite subject of mine, Jimmy Johnson, who appeared on the tour last year together with him and Rob Ryder, and both Cole and Sha confirmed my suspicion that Jimmy was a hell of a nice guy. He also told me what a great dad that Jimmy is, and how his number one concern is always the welfare of his son.
Finally, I got to hug the slightly sweaty bodies of Blake and Jason as I left, and they presented me with a Broke Straight Boys towel autographed with very sweet loving messages from Blake, Jason & Denver. Thanks to everone at the Broke Straight Boys booth for being so wonderful today.
