Hi Blake, don't feel too bad, during my waitressing days I had many, many disasters. I once accidentally dropped a poached egg into a lady's open handbag...
...and then there was the time a whole stuffed trout jumped off my tray and did a wild roll across the dance floor...slippery sucker

You just have to laugh and think 'at some point in the future this is going to be very funny'

Just try to figure out how to avoid this next time. Try carrying the tray level with your arm rather than over your head or bring the butter either before or after, saying, "I want to make sure it is the right temperature for you." No biggie.
