My all-time favorite is Titanic (1996). As of today, I have watched it 89 times....never get tired of it.
As Erikthbod once told me, I have got to get out more often.

I'm with Another1 on most of his choices, plus I would add:
Princess Mononoke
The Scarlett Pimpernel-original
My Man Godfrey-original
Ordinary People
Little Miss Sunshine
Sunshine Cleaning
3
Weekend
Toast
Dr Doolittle-original
Ever watch Dr. Doolittle on shrooms? lol
Okay, true story: My 20 year old daughter said she and a friend were going to "do shrooms." So I say, "do you need some rolling papers?" She about shit herself laughing; I didn't know you don't smoke them. Ah, the things your kids can teach you...
Probably a dumb question, but did you see it in 3D; did you like it better?
Now you are taking me back to my college days, when going to see Stanley Kubrick's 2001 A Space Odyssey, while tripping was always a most interesting, and psychedelic experience!!!Ever watch Dr. Doolittle on shrooms? lol
I should have been an American judging by my taste. I love the old black and white movies such as Chinatown, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane and others. I do have a more current sci fi twist to my nature and love Battlestar Galactica and Star Wars.

Dear Joninliverton,
Great choices Jon. My all time favorite B&W movie was the 1966 Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton "classic" known as "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" Liz and Richard were at their acting peak!
I was 18 when it came out and, when I left the theatre, I was totally "BLOWN AWAY by this movie! I strongly recommend this movie to anyone that loves "drama" at its best!
Sincerely,
Stimpy
